Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County reviews
32Worst ever. Not professional in any manner. They expect you to text them and leave messages but never get a response. In 3 years of doing business with them, nothing has changed. Beyond disgusted with them. 50 years in business has taught them nothing. Even the office manager doesn’t return your calls. They have a great spin spin doctor creating their web page and phone hold messages making them sound wonderful.
The doctors were great but I was charged a copay for an appointment from 2019 that I never made.then when I questioned in kingston I was made to feel like a criminal because I asked questions.and the response below is what you get when they dont wantvt deal with you or wont do anything about it.pay attention people.and they just sent email for payment.well I'm sorry I did not receive a service for 2019 so no I will not pay a copay for an appointment I never made. I will however pay for services I do make appointments for
Was hurt at work, they were awesome about getting me in and seen, x-ray, mri same week. Then things turned. Doc never even felt my shoulder and said it was fine, put me in PT tried that, but knew there was something really wrong, however I felt like they were treating me like someone who just wanted payed time off, changed doctors find out torn labrum, bam waisted half my full pay comp time now I’m at a loss. Not to mention their phones and computers went down and they did nothing to help people through, treated patients like it was their fault.
Really disappointed in this location and their doctors. They refused to give an MRI and we begged and when we did do the MRI there was a tare that would not have been diagnosed if not for us pushing for the MRI. Will not be returning, went to Bone and Joint Center in Catskill - they have been supportive and helpful from the beginning and willing to go above and beyond. The Bone and Joint Center also let us know that they are taking on a lot of patients who have had horrible experiences with Dutchess Ortho.
Dr. Frank T. Lombardo spent about 1 minute moving my hip. He thought it was a labrum tear. I explained how I had a terrible experience with my shoulder with an MRA. I asked for PT and an MRI. He told me to get a second opinion and refused to help me. I waited 2 months for a 5 minute appointment and Dr. Lombardo wanted to start with an invasive procedure instead of trying PT 1st. The data shows that MRAs and MRIs specifically with hip labrum tears result in a high false positive rate. I do NOT recommend this doctor. With all the city people moving here hopefully we get better doctors.
This is the absolute worst medical practice I have ever been to in all my years. It's more like a factory where they move you in and out like a piece of meat. The staff is impolite and even combative, you never can reach anyone on the phone, you wait all the time, and it's just terrible. The whole practice needs to shut down and made smaller.
I had a 3: 15 pm appointment for which I arrived at 3: 00 pm as requested. I was not seen until 5: 00 pm. I left work early and lost 2.5 hours pay sitting in the waiting room. I appreciate that emergencies occur. However, I should have received a courtesy call telling me not to arrive until 4: 30 since the staff was well aware the doctor was running late. Also, its nearly impossible to reach someone to speak to a human. The request to text is rude. I see ample staff there. I also work in a service industry. I take every call and return calls when necessary.
This place is horrible my husband was supposed to get an mri the insurance company denied it they need a peer to peer contact it’s been a month still no word on an mri my husband is suffering so bad he seen dr Perkins on july 1st never even looked at his back just ordered test he has a huge lump on his back and symptoms getting worse I have no choice but to take him to the er. Then today I call to schedule an appt I am having terrible sciatica pain can’t walk so much pain and I have to wait a month before I can be seen smh I guess I will be going to the er as well if you can find another place to go you definitely should terrible place although We did have a good experience with dr Stewart he’s amazing and dr Tiggis otherwise stay away go somewhere else too bad dr Stewart and tiggis have to be in this place
The same super service in Kingston as in Rhinebeck and the Poughkeepsie out patient clinic. I am very pleased with personal attention and professionalism I have received at Orthopedic Associates and I reccomend them to family and friends.
I was highly disappointed with my experience with oadc. I was admitted to the hospital with cellulitis of the hands and while admitted I was referred to Ortho to rule out tendon involvement- an ultrasound was ordered and was negative.
Upon getting to oadc for my follow up, I waited approximately 40 minutes and was brought immediately to X-ray. No physician examined me before ordering an X-ray. If an X-ray was not indicated while I was admitted, why on earth would one be indicated at my follow up when everything was healing well? Especially PRIOR to a clinical exam. To me it seemed like a fraudulent exam order- ordering a test before a doc even looked at me- it was a clear case of putting the cart before the horse for the sake of money.
I refused the X-ray, to say the least and when I finally had the doc come and see me, he said “good for you” for refusing it. My hand had no tendon involvement, as suspected.
Dr. Schweppe was great but the practice was awful. I won’t be back.
13 days after visiting the ER for a very bad wrist fracture the doctors at Othopedic Associates of Dutchss County finally got around to reviewing my file and offering me an appointment. After visiting my local ER and being diagnosed with a severe distal radius fracture, I immediately faxed them my x-rays and contacted their office to request an appointment. I was told that I could not have one until a doctor reviewed my file and because it was a Friday, I would be able to get an appointment until Monday. I called back on Monday, and was told that they had not had a chance to review my file and allow me an appointment. I was in agony and my husband ended up calling the Bone and Joint Center in Albany. They gave me a same day appointment and were able to schedule me for surgery two days later. They could not understand why Dutchess would make anyone wait for an appointment with such an acute injury. Dutchess finally got back to me 13 days later offering to see me, if I had waited for their response my wrist would have already started to heal incorrectly.
I was very satisfied with the level of care I received at oadc. I was seen immediately oh, and was treated with respect and the utmost of care.
I found that Orthopedic Associates was kind courteous and very caring. I feel that I'm finally going to get the service and care that I need for my back and my page. Thank you again for everything.
Dr Tigges is amazing. From the moment I woke up from my total hip replacement there was no pain just some discomfort. He and his staff are very professional and caring. I would recommend him to anyone that would need his services. I will eventually have to have my other hip done, and even if I am not living in New York I will be coming back to New York to have Dr Russell Tigges do It.
Got injured at work in September.
Had Tigges for my knee and Maurer for my shoulder. Love both of them. Straight shooters. If it wasn't for NYS Workers Comp.this would be perfect. NOT OADC fault! They have been greay!
Everyone who helped us was very kind and easy going which was very helpful for my young son. We especially had a great time with Tim & Adam doing X-rays, which was an intimidating experience for a 4-year old. Thanks again!
Friendly, staff showed a lot of professionalism environmentally friendly. The Whole ambiance is pleasant and comfortable!
Very happy with my surgeon, Dr. Frank Lombardo. He diagnosed my hip infection when three other hospitals didn’t and did a great job with the two surgeries he did on me.
Very comfortable atmosphere and professional therapists. They helped me with my sciatic nerve pain. Thanks!
I went in to Orthopedics Express seeking immediate treatment for my elbow, which I had injured and possibly fractured. They refused treatment because there was no elbow specialist on staff. They refused to even take an xray and offered me an appointment in Poughkeepsie (50 minutes away) for three weeks later. This is appalling behavior for a so-called emergency clinic. The receptionist was also completely apathetic. Like a reptile.
