Outdoor seating was great and the location is perfect, but the food and the quality of the service was very underwhelming

Amazing! Late night kitchen. Went to a show and had dinner afterwards. Service was very attentive, even after 11: 00 pm. Had the Pomodorro. It was the best!

A solid neighborhood spot, with great service and food. Love the chicken wings and pastas.

Kitchen is open late, much appreciate. Walked in off the street at 10: 30 pm and got food within 20 minutes

This was a great find. The food and drinks were excellent and the prices were an amazing value by Manhattan standards, with most entrees under $25. Even the wine list was approachable with numerous options under $50. The upstairs dining room was very cozy and had a nice ambiance. Downstairs was more of a bar/casual atmosphere with TVs.

Service was very quick so we were a bit worried that we were going to get pressured to leave after 90 minutes (we had an 8: 00 reservation) but we were able to stay later without any problems.

Overall, this is definitely a great option if you're looking for a satisfying restaurant experience without breaking the bank.

Scrumptious food and fast service. Staff were super friendly and took great care of us. Great neighborhood location that is conveniently close to the Guggenheim and MET.

Great Italian restaurant with fair pricing and great service. The ambiance is fun and romantic. The food selection is diverse and a great list of drinks. Affogato here was fantastic with great quality espresso.

Rice balls, rosemary wings and meatballs was absolutely delicious. The Chicken Milanese was the best I've ever had.

We sat at the patio on the evening of 4/9. Our waitress was very nice, attentive without being intrusive, and answered all of our questions about the menu very kindly and patiently. The food was great and the drinks were generous. We had a great pizza, a couple lasagnas, arancini, and a kids pasta. Everything was great!
The ambiance outside at the patio is a bit lacking but overall a great restaurant with great staff.

I came here for a last minute diner and I am definitely going to visit again. My food was delicious and the arancini balls are a must order. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining and both options facilitate a great atmosphere.

I celebrated my birthday with my family at Osteria Cotta. I made advance reservations since we were a small group. Kay handled my reservation and she was beyond helpful and provided all the information I needed. The food and service were excellent. We also enjoyed the rustic, romantic atmosphere! We will definitely be back!

One of the best restaurants in New York. I have an extensive hospitality background and can say server Hannah M. Is *INCREDIBLE*. We experienced outstanding hospitality this evening — far beyond anything at Eleven Madison Park or Per Se.

The food was wonderful, the service was wonderful, and the prices were reasonable. I can't wait to eat on the front patio when it's warmer. Try the chicken wings, the orecchiette, the lasagna, the gnocchi.

Absolutely phenomenal Italian restaurant on the Upper West Side. Delicious food for reasonable prices. The Pork Ragu Pappardelle tasted just like the Pasta with Boar Sauce I had in Tuscany. Arancini was also delicious, must have on the UWS.

Pros- good ambience and decor
Cons-
- this whole vintage ambience is all ok but all velvet chair, cushions and upholstery are stained with food. Before I sat, I cleared out crumbs of the last few guests. Vintage is not an alternative to hygiene. That then does make me think about the cleanliness of the kitchen.
- my drink (a glass of wine) came 23 minutes after ordering. To my mind that was too slow.
- we got rosemary potatoes, brussel sprouts, wood fired beets and a margarita pizza. The potatoes were dehydrated and saturatec in oil (not freshly done). The brussel sprouts were too oily and didn't smell right (rancid oil). The pizza was just below average, stretchy with some sub par cheese. The beets were cold and the wood fired bit didn't really do justice to their description.
Everyone wants big tips for sub par food and ambience. I make all these preparations better at home and thus I was wondering why should I feel good about doling out $70. But every now and then we all do.
I have begun to question ratings too. Every restaurant is rated between 4.3 to 4.8.
