Oxford Property Group, New York NY

This was a less than desirable experience. To all my NYC friends, please avoid this brokerage. I worked with 4 different brokers. They did not show up to showings, poor response time, and simply did not listen to my budget or requests. Price gouging. Please avoid and spread the word.

This company is a noooooo goooooo for Section 8 holders there will ask u to do Illegal transactions with them knowing that section 8 pays for there service. So run

Hayley Bailiff was wonderful to work with. She showed us many apartments and answered all of my questions. We ended up with more than what we were expecting in an apartment! My family highly recommends her!

Maggie was by far the most helpful real estate agent I have ever interacted with. As a person who is coming out of state and is totally new to NYC rental space, I was really worried and stressed if I could ever find a property that can fit within my budget. Then I saw Maggie. She was there all the time whenever I needed her. She dedicated a lot of her time physically and virtually showcasing apartments to me (and some were 6 floors up so that tells you something lol)

She also helped make the apartment company move way faster with rental applications and was quick to find a roommate to fill the spot.

Not only did Angel sit down with us and toured 4 different apartments with us in one afternoon, he made sure that they had what we were looking for. Once we applied, Dayhana took over and she took us through every step of the way. From applying to the unit itself, all the way to helping us with any questions we had.

Recently just worked with Maggie to find a room for rent. She was very consistent and her communication was excellent. Even though we ran into some unexpected delays she made sure to stay on top of her work and kept on working hard to make sure I and my roommates were able to find a home in a short amount of time. She is very professional and we need more realtors like her who are straightforward and know everything about their job to make the process for someone who is renting for the first time very easy. 10/10

Rude apt-showing experience with one of the agents at Oxford Property. Sarcastic and abrasive responses when going over routine renter due diligence questions. Generally poor attitude, made for very uncomfortable experience. Might have considered the apt as a contender since I am looking and the unit was decent- ultimately decided it was not worth my time or money to work with this company due to lack of professionalism.

I had a poor experience working with Kevin Gomez and would try to find a different agent to work with if possible. He had a nonchalant attitude and seemed ready to leave while my family was exploring the unit that we had signed up to tour. I liked the unit and was seriously considering it, so I asked him about the next steps. He charged $100 simply to email me an application and take the unit off the market. He then mentioned that I could have 2-3 days to get him all the supporting documents. The very next day, he pressured me and asked when I will be submitting my documents, even though I was told I had a 2-3 day window. I let him know that I needed more time to gather everything. Then, in less than 42 hours, I let Kevin know that I had found another unit for a similar price that would give me more bang for my buck and no longer wished to continue with the first apartment. So, I requested a refund (even if it was just partial). No application was filled out, and nothing needed to be processed. He did not need to run any background checks or credit checks because I had not submitted any paperwork yet. The apartment was only off the market for 42 hours. It hadn't even been 2 days. He then told me that the $100 fee was non-refundable and made it seem like a big deal because he needed to hurry up and lease the unit to someone by August 1st. Well, I just checked the listing, and someone else has already requested to take it off the market as well. So, there was never a big deal. He knew he would find someone else immediately, yet he made it seem like I ruined an opportunity for him. I'm not a big fan of agents taking advantage of people's anxieties around securing a NYC apartment, which — as everyone knows — is extremely stressful and difficult.

Hello all, I am a client of the Oxford Property Group under the broker Adrian Garfias. Adrian Garfias told us he had a special relationship with the “landlord” of our apartment so that the apartment could be held for us while we applied. We did get the apartment, but it turns out the entire deal was fraudulent. The “landlord” is actually just a tenant. This “landlord” has been overcharging my roommates and I for the entirety of our lease and there is nothing we can do about it. We made the mistake of trusting the Oxford Property Group and Adrian Garfias. There are lots of brokers in the city. Please, for your own good, go to another brokerage. Adrian Garfias and The Oxford Property group is horrible.

I had a great experience working with one of Oxford's brokers, Cole Washington. He worked through the weekend and long hours, was prompt to reply, and thorough with the application process. I forgot to attach an important document to my application and he followed up immediately so I could get the apartment I wanted at a great price. The process took less than 48 hours from viewing to approval and signing. Finding an apartment in New York City is hectic and stressful, but Cole made it significantly less so. Highly recommend.

Vanessa Moore was the best. She is very patient and detailed. I was very indecisive but she helped me find a great apartment for way less than I anticipated. I'm not sure where she finds these gems but Vanessa has a gift at finding what her clients need and want. I would definitely recommend her
