The passing of a child is never easy, but Lou and Melissa made it seemless, and worry free. They were very easy to work with, and were there every step of the way. They did a great job on everything. I would highly recommend.

I was very impressed with Lou Pillari, the owner of the funeral home. From the first time we spoke, I felt at easy and comfort with Lou during this difficult time. Melissa Schmidt was also exceptional. They were a great team and made the process seamless.

The funeral home had a comforting atmosphere. All the staff very also very supportive.

I would highly recommend Oyster Bay Funeral Home.

I express the great appreciation of our family to Lou and Melissa at Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Over the years they have provided funeral services for my mother-in-law, my father-in-law and most recently my Dad with great caring professionalism as if they were family members themselves. My father-in-law was taken from us in the early terrifying days of Covid. Lou personally went to retrieve his body and prepare him for burial under the most difficult of circumstances and he was there again for us one year later to help us with a Memorial Mass worthy of royalty. We laid my Dad to rest this week and again they responded with their warm guidance and worked with the FDNY and U. S. Army to provide special honors for my Dad. Thank you Lou and Melissa for always providing comfort in the times of our greatest grief. -Peter and Lucinda Manzi.

Our loved ones unfortunately pass away it's one of the most difficult parts of life. Lou and his staff at Oyster Bay Funeral Home handle everything with care and professionalism. They treat you like family with each time our family has visited Oyster Bay Funeral Home we have grown closer to Lou and his staff. We had a very difficult out of state transport with my sons passing and Lou and his staff handled every detail with compassion and meticulosity allowing us to grieve without stress. It must be so difficult to get so close to families working in this profession and yet everyone at Oyster Bay Funeral are so kind, caring And supportive. Thank you so much for all you do! Our family will never go anywhere else.

Melissa and Louis went above and beyond as we said goodbye to our 93/year old Mom. Service was top notch and Melissa guided us 100% thru the process. They also were able to accommodate our large extended family and were kind to everyone.
Can’t say enough for how they made a difficult time easier. Katie D.

Melissa was so kind and professional with the pre-planning of our mom’s wake/funeral last year and also the actual event last week. Lou was so comforting the day of the funeral and provided great guidance. They both made a difficult time a lot easier on our family.
OBFH accommodated a very large turn-out to our mom’s wake and all of the staff were professional, kind and considerate.

My family and I would highly recommend this funeral home, especially Melissa. During a very difficult time, Melissa made our family feel extremely cared for and supported. She went above and beyond to make our family feel comfortable throughout this process and made sure all services were completed accurately and swiftly. We cannot thank her enough for how she made us feel. She was truly a precious gem.

We are rating the Oyster Bay Funeral Home with five stars but we would have preferred to give it ten stars, but five is all that’s allowed. Funeral Director Louis Pillari and his wife Corinna were simply fabulous. We’ve never before seen this level of competence, professionalism, and sincere empathy from any other funeral home. They never missed a cue and made what was a very sad occasion one of comfort and ease for all present. For that we offer our sincere thanks.

I have known Louie at Oyster Bay Funeral Home for a long time. He first worked with my family thirty years ago, when he helped us bury my mother who died tragically at a young age. Louie was just starting out, but he made that extremely difficult time so incedibily beautiful that I still remember it after all this time.

When my father died recently, I immediately knew to call Louie. Just like last time, he paid attention to every detail. Louie took away all my worries and handled everything with love and care. There is no one better at what he does than Louie. My family and I are so grateful and blessed to know him.
