American Restaurant Palace reviews
14This aint a restaurant. It is a diner and I like diners. Breakfast is always my go to so I went with the eggs benedict. The nuclear yellow hollandaise cn be offputting but it wasn’t bad. This place needs a freshening up since it is dingy. Diners are old school but this one looks old. The muffin and black and white cookie were ok. 3 stars.
Came here for breakfast on three occasions as it was so good for gluten free options. I am a coeliac and it was such a delight. Best waffles I have ever tried! If you are staying near the area worth a visit. Very quick and welcoming service also.
Everything, food, service, servers were great except for the rude lady at the door. The burger was good. The servers made sure fountain soda got refilled. That lady definitely is a vibe killer both on the way in and the way out when you pay. It’s unfortunate that she’s probably the owner or the manager lol. Also, they charge you extra for paying with card and don’t tell you about it.
Sehr zuvorkommende, aufmerksame, freundliche Bedienung. Besser als in allen bisher besuchten Restaurants.
The pastrami on rye was definitely a bit greasy. There was plenty of meat but I can't say that I really enjoyed it given the amount of grease. The chips are just basic ruffles, and the coleslaw was okay. The wait for the sandwich was very very long. Don't think I'll be back.
Nice fresh salads and a complete choice of meals. Nice service (merci Sergio!)
And affordable prices for NYC
Definitely a good choice!

Have eaten breakfast here several times with a friend or relative…. Food isn’t bad, average diner fare. However don’t try to go here if you’re just one person, unless you want to be forced to sit at the counter…not a great experience, since delivery people are often crowded there picking up orders. Even when booths are available, they insist you sit at the counter, which is especially uncomfortable for older people. Perhaps they should try to set up a few small tables for individual diners…but they don’t seem amenable to that suggestion! So the Palace should be avoided if you’re alone!
It is a nice place. The food is very tasty and inexpensive by NY standards. I liked everything very much. I recommend this place.
Great service and good casual food. We had Palace Omelet with Ham and Turkey Wrap. Would definitely visit again.
This place is wonderful everything is organized customers service and works are absolutely fantastic everything arrives at my table on time highly recommended this is indeed a palace.
Great location for a full service diner!
Excellent old world diner. Extensive menu. However, the bathroom was difficult to reach, had to climb a lot of stairs.
Like this place - good food and decent prices by neighborhood standards. They have added credit card surcharge at the register (which may be illegal in NY state) and that needs to stop.
One of the best Gluten free breakfast we had in NY. They got a whole separate Menu for GF from sweet (french toast, pancakes) to savory.
Service was fast and atttendive and the ambiente was a classic American Diner.
Atmosphere was cute, like a family Dennys. Service was good. Omelet was kinda salty but the potatoes were soooo good. The Philly cheese steak was big and pretty good. It was real steak.
