Park Avenue Tavern reviews
14Great Food and service. Awesome place in the city to grab breakfast or. We had brunch and breakfast the next day. Joe was very good in making sure everything was perfect.
If all you eat is the breakfast potatoes and have a pint of Guinness here the rest of the day is downhill. Top of the heap!
We had a nice dinner outside. Live music, good food, friendly service: what else would you expect?
A very nice place, to drink a delicious drink and taste a good meal with a special company
Our lunch today was delicious. Alex took great care of us in the outdoor seating. We had chicken wings, the Tuna Burguer, and the Tavern Burguer. Everything was really good and I especially enjoyed the Tavern Burger. The gorgonzola-aioli combination was amazing. Highly recommended.
Not a great experience. I walked in around 3pm and it was pretty empty. It was just me, and I was hoping to grab a quick lunch. I asked to sit outside on the cushion seat. All tables were mostly. The hostess said I couldn’t sit there because it was only for large parties, but there were two people sitting at the exact same table next to me. There were also open tables everywhere. I asked if I could just sit there until a large party came in and she said no. So I sat in an awkward sit in the middle of an empty space outside. I waited for 20 min and no one came to get my order. Pretty disappointing. They are clearly not accommodating to their guests. I have been living here for 12 years and was excited to try this spot because I just moved to the area. Unfortunately I will not be returning.
Aug 2023, Carols was a fabulous server. He took great care of our table and did not rush us out of our table. The restaurant has outdoor seating and lots of seating inside. My friend ordered the Watermelon Salad that was fresh and delicious. II ordered the Margarita Flatbread that was delicious and my friend ordered the Burger and fries. All and all, we have never had a bad meal here.
Good food, great staff. Great music for my generation (When did we last hear TEARS FOR FEARS!) Loud, loud tavern. Will come earlier next time (and yes, there will be a next time)
Stopped in for dinner while in town. I had Rueben and a beer. The place was very busy. Great atmosphere, nice seating and clean. Food was decent didn’t wow me. Thought some dishes were a little pricey. It is on Park ave though.
We had a flight delay and ended up in New York City for 3 nights. We went to dinner one of the nights and asked the manager there for a recommendation for a good breakfast restaurant. She referred us to Park Avenue Tavern. She mentioned that they just started serving breakfast about a month ago and heard it was excellent. So, we tried it and LOVED IT! Our waiter, Alex G.was the absolute best waiter. Very attentive and made sure the coffee and juice was always topped off. I had the French toast with a berry compote on top…delicious! My hubby had the omelet and he also loved it. Timmy, the Manager, also heard of our predicament and made sure we were taken care of. It’s nice people like Alex G.and Timmy, and excellent food that really make a restaurant great. If we were here longer we would definitely go back for lunch or dinner, but we return home tomorrow.
PAT is on my list of places I have to go to when I go to NYC. Right up there with a Times Square and Central Park. This place is solid. Great vibes, amazing food, and in a great location. It hustles and bustles. We got the burgers which came with fries. It’s located very close to Grand Central so you will have plenty of opportunity to come by. Add it to your list!
Nice breakfast here.
My omelet was fresh and well made.
My GF has some sort of oatmeal which she said was the beat she ever had.service was super snd spoke to the manager who came over to talk to us which is always a nice touch! Spoke French as well which was fun. Too bad we didn't get a chance to go back and do supper but if it's anything like the attention put in the Breakfast I would say try it out! We will when we come back to NYC next time.thanks again.
Relaxing Friday afternoon lunch sitting at the bar. Great food, nice atmosphere, convenient location. Stellar service.
