Rooms are great here and the pool area is beautiful. Don’t expect much in terms of service or Globalist treatment.

Best service we have ever experienced at a hotel. The staff are very responsive and friendly. Rooms are very clean and the water pressure is insanely good.

Really wanted to like this hotel, but it's easily the worst Park Hyatt I've ever stayed in. There is very little service or amenities. No doorman, one restaurant, no club or lounge. Rooms are spacious for NYC, but the sound isolation is dreadful. I could hear every door slam, toilet flush, and hallway conversation. The rooms facing 57th pick up a ton of road noise and construction. The hotel clearly knows this and staying on the 58th side is for ultra premium rooms and suites only. It's a convenient location, but I wouldn't stay here again. Pales in comparison to Park Hyatt Tokyo, Paris, and Vienna. Sad. I had always wanted to stay here.

One of the most consistent and enjoyable properties in the city. Service is always perfect and all my rooms have been spotless- upgrade if you want a view, as all the base level rooms I’ve seen have poor or nonexistent views.

Fantastic stay, service is top notch. Room size is good, the bathroom was fantastic. The doormen were very attentive and friendly. Definitely 5 star.

The facility is impeccable, clean, and fairly easy to get to most things in the central park and Times Square region.

My partner and I celebrated our 10 yr anniversary there, and it was our first time staying since we first came to NYC together all those years ago. Perhaps it was the fond memory I had which I just remembered being better, but we had a pretty flat experience this time around.

I am commenting only on our experience booking the 1BR City View Suite (~$1700+/night).

Pros:
- Excellent, excellent concierge service which made us feel like our entire stay was special and meant something to them. They helped coordinate with a party store to have balloons set up for me to surprise my partner. Exceptional experience throughout.
- Property and location is spectacular on 57th Street, within walking distance to shopping on Madison to the east and Columbus Circle on the west.
- They offer turndown service which always makes a hotel experience feel so luxe for me but we had a mishap with guest services and properly addressing this. Miscommunication happens so no ding on them for this because housekeeping ended up bringing up extra towels and bath salts to make up for it.

Cons:
(My feedback is mostly on the type of people that came in and out during the stay, which unfortunately does make a huge difference on the overall experience.)
- Given that the room is about $1700 per night, I would expect far, far more noise cancellation and insulation, at least in the suite’s bedroom area. We heard this horrid child crying and screaming from down the hall for three hours while I kept hearing someone repeating “Just give him the iPad so he can stop crying! ” — zero judgment there on the parenting style, just that I could hear them like it was our TV.
- When we came back from breakfast, I saw that someone had spilled their Dunkin’ donuts coffee on the floor (really classy.) and was so inconsiderate that they just left their cup there, too, for whoever was coming to clean it up. I’d bet they didn’t let anyone know anyway since it looked like it was starting to dry. Or the cup was their way of notifying us.
- I am a huge proponent of points redemption and we even usually do for our stays, but of the 5 people in the line, every person checking out in front of us in the queue got a verbal “Since you booked your night with us on points, you are all set” which kind of validated my opinion re: hit or miss clientele. Some polite techie couples, some rowdy families with plastic bags and speakerphone conversations.
- Lastly, we would have leveraged Express Checkout to bypass all that chaos but we noticed that there was a random $158. XX charge on our bill for Living Room (the restaurant downstairs). We did not visit the LR once during our stay, and I quickly realized it became the second time in NYC I experienced someone trying to pull an Anna Delvey stunt. The gentleman helping sorted out the bill quickly so this was not a knock on the staff; they are friendly and professional. However, it was not a pleasant exit for me— not entirely their fault but even cruise ships have ways of verify when a guest is trying to charge to their room.

I saw a handful of what I would consider overprivileged people negating the experiences of others by saying the negative reviews here are critical or wrong but we have also stayed at some of the most delightful PH’s across the world and this ranked at the bottom of what’s available. Don’t gaslight people who are doing thorough research for special occasion stays! And believe me, with how hard it is for my partner to achieve Globalist status as working people, we have seen our fair share of hotels in the brand. It’s a strong 3-star at best for me with a subpar suite experience. For the branding, location, and price differential for the premium rooms, I think it’s perfectly acceptable to hold a 5-star to a much higher bar.

Met a friend at the Living Room for drinks. Great atmosphere, comfy seating. Perfect place to meet because you can actually talk!

Make sure they don't charge you for the service you don't use. I only use the hot water from the nespresso machine in the mini bar to give my baby formula and they charge $77.this is crazy. I called them to complain and they will give me the credit but if I don't call, they would just steal the money. Check always.

Wife and I enjoyed our wedding anniversary trip and stay at this hotel. I forgot my “hang up” clothes back home and my wife called the hotel to see if they could buy me some dress clothes before we arrived. Their concierge, Amy, went above and beyond for us and got me clothes within two hours. This alone gives the hotel 5 stars, but the room and service from all employees solidifies the ranking. You will not regret staying at this Hyatt!

The location is good, the facilities are luxurious, and the amenities are really meticulously equipped. I was happy to take a bath while watching the night view by spraying bath salt in the bathtub. I can definitely see the difference between a 4-star and a 5-star. I think I will only stay here in New York from now on. The only regret is that the amount of breakfast is at the level of a small bowl of rice. For those who like it, add a pastry to the two mains. There are many breakfast restaurants nearby, but it's okay to go.

Just to put it simply, currently the best 5 star high end hotel in new york Manhattan. The best location, great and beautiful rooms. Friendly reception staff and doormen. Staying in this hotel since 2017 and it still feels new.

This is a world class property. Everything about it screams customer service and professionalism. From the (ALWAYS) friendly door men that greet you, to the water and towel that's available when you return to the friendly front desk staff to the INCREDIBLE concierge service. Noel Cruz the concierge deserves his own review. I'd give him 10/10 stars and would tell anyone that this man is an asset to this property. Helpful and personable doesn't begin to describe him. EVERY ONE of the man's suggestions were incredible.from food, to places to visit to things to do. He greeted my wife and I by name and sent me a personalized e-mail with his suggestions. My room was clean, modern and comfortable. Room service treated us like royalty and turned my (excellent) 10pm hamburger purchase into a fine dining experience. I just can't say enough that all of the staff oozed charm and professionalism. I'll be staying here when I return to the city and it has earned my highest recommendation.

First time staying here and had high expectations due to the reviews. Redeemed Hyatt points for 2 nights in a king bed room. We got to the hotel at 9: 30AM with an early check in request. Check in is at 4PM so I was expecting to pay a fee if it was available. They were able to get me into a king bed room with city view that was ready for an additional $50 a night which was fine with me. The room was beautiful and clean as to be expected. I wasn’t able to connect to the TV via chrome cast on the Hyatt app even though I was connected to the hotel wifi. Minor inconvenience since we wouldn’t be watching too much tv anyways. We had several request for random items that we received very promptly. The housecleaning staff was absolutely terrific and most of the other staff were wonderful. There were a few instances where I felt my experience with a couple of staff members were not up to par for a 5 star hotel. The morning we left, we asked to leave our luggage for a couple of hours before our flight. The doorman downstairs did not offer to assist us and gestured for us to walk 5 feet towards where he was standing instead of helping us with the luggage. We were struggling with the heavy luggage. He wasn’t kind and we felt like we annoyed him. That may seem trivial but for a 5 star hotel it irked me bc I’ve been treated better at 4 star hotels. Some of the reception ladies seemed dismissive in our interactions with them. We were here for the US Open and had a wonderful cocktail at the bar. We also ordered room service which consisted of wings and a chocolate mousse dessert. The wings were alright but the dessert was fantastic! Overall, I did enjoy my stay hugely in part to the amazing housecleaning staff. They were absolutely wonderful and did such a great job tidying up our room everyday.

Lovely hotel! Beautiful and luxurious! Loved my stay here as a birthday celebration. The only issue was a snooty and terse lady at the front desk when I was checking out… I left a phone charger with her to have my friend pick up later (she left it in the room we were staying in together) and the front desk lady was cold and not helpful… also didn’t say thank you for your stay or anything warm as I was leaving, just looked at me like she wanted me to go… not the send off I was hoping for after spending over a $1000 to stay here!

Just finished a staycation and it was wonderfully restorative. Service is excellent and the rooms are epic, great beds, great bathrooms & huge for NYC. Real 5* experience & the pool / steam are fabulous - shout out to Christopher (and all the other staff) for being so friendly throughout. Loved it.

There were a couple of issues with room maintenance and the dining service, so I can't give it 5 stars. But having said that, the rooms are very nice and the service is generally good. Excellent food. Pool on 25th floor with peekaboo views of central park, this hotel is just one block south of central park, great location.

The hotel is top notch. We stayed in a suite and 2 other rooms. Room service, housekeeping and the check in process was excellent. This African American security personnel Chris manning the door is not as professional as his peers. I went outside of the hotel in the street and had my morning smoke. I don’t know if he’s bothered by the smoke or he was just underestimating me. He told me to stay farther from him if I want to smoke. I was in the sidewalk away from where he is. This guy needs a retraining from management. This is the only setback from our stay. Aside from this person everyone was very pleasant. Thank you

It's a nice hotel.the basic rooms are spacious with with an amazing shower and comfortable bed.the pool and hot hub are awesome to have in NYC but even at 8pm on a saturday and 11am on a sunday they were surprisingly busy.the only real fault i had was we could hear noise from the room above us which wasn't great since we had to wake up early the next morning.it's really hard to say whether it's the room vs other guests though.
