Park South Hotel - JDV by Hyatt reviews
14 Stayed with a friend for a two-week vacation, in a room with two double beds. The room was clean, in good shape, and surprisingly spacious (closet space is limited though). The staff are excellent, and housekeeping is amazingly prompt. The hotel is also in a great location, within walking distance of much of midtown Manhattan and with easy access to the 6 train.
City noise was noticeable but not ridiculous. Our room faced 27th St, so an interior room would probably be quieter.
Overall this is a fantastic hotel! I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely return.
Stayed here during Thanksgiving and it is the best place! Excellent price and location. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very nice. Can’t say enough great things about the staff here, especially the doormen. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Hotel is located in Indian district where a lot of trash on streets and not really pleasant at all.
When we opened the room, it had a smell like somebody recently pooped in the toilet (yes, the woman from the reception went to check if the room is ready and returned in 10 min)
Window view was bad as well. The thing is the view from the hall of that floor was 1000% better.
The main thing that made me to write this review - I paid about $40 more for the breakfast since I was going to the airport in the morning. Instead of the breakfast they showed me a menu with pre-packed pastry and said to choose 4 pieces each person. The waiter refused to make a cappuccino but it was on the menu.
I left this place without any breakfast and had buy it in the airport.
Awful service for $250 night.
Hotel ideally located, next to a metro station.
The room was very clean and the staff very pleasant.
I recommend without hesitation.
Clean and quiet rooms in an excellent central location. The staff was very helpful and the doorman, Chuck, went above and beyond to make us feel at home during our stay.
Front desk was rude and unhelpful. Hung up on me and was downright rude about mistakes they made. Would not stay again, would not recommend.
The room had flashing lights in it that kept waking me up in the middle of the night. The phone and the fire detector were flashing on and off.
The first room they put me in faced an air conditioning unit and was quite noisy which would have probably been OK for just one night, but I asked to move and was moved to a much nicer and bigger room on the top floor, which I was very happy with for my 5 day stay! The rooms were spotlessly clean and everything worked as it should - fast Wi-Fi, good shower pressure, comfy bed, no street noise or internal noise whatsoever. Staff were always very friendly and happy to help. I didn't have breakfast but there's a popular bagel shop next door which I went to a couple of times which was very good, plus a few other good restaurants and cafes in easy walking distance. The rooftop bar was good too, and I got given a couple of drinks tokens to enjoy there. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York!
Centrally situated for a lot of things, walking distance from Madison Square Garden. Also very close to subway stations. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Bar staff more eager to clear up than to serve drinks. Rooms very clean and beds exceptionally comfortable.
More the standard of a 2.5 or 3 star hotel because from experience this hotel cannot and should not be referenced as a 4 star. The rooms are average at best. There is a jail cell window in the rooms. The bathrooms are old and outdated with white shower curtains touching the toilettes…
Nice Hyatt property in a great area of NYC with close proximity to the Subway (half a block away) and near an abundance of amenities. Staff at check in and front door are friendly and helpful. Rooms (at least my room) are very small and boxlike, though not unexpected in NYC. The sound wasn’t great - my room was near the elevator and I could hear the ring every time someone got off at my floor, and additionally my toilet and air conditioner kept making loud noises - though managed to sleep comfortably. The bar and restaurant downstairs was nice. They give you free drink tickets at check in which are good for a very limited selection of beer or wine at the cafe in the front. Overall enjoyed the stay here and would consider staying again on future trip to city.
Holiday Inn vibes, poor service, failed to make up my room, asked for it to be made up and no one pitched up. Not a four star hotel. Avoid
Enjoyed staying here. The staff was very helpful, professional, and informative. Thank you so much Mohamed for your help and local tips. We’ll be back!
Amazing experience, this is our spot in nyc. Rooftop lounge, great dining and coffee on ground floor, a library, fitness center and more. Stunning intimate spot!
Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff was unbelievably helpful with everything, especially Mohammad! He always seemed a step ahead knowing what we needed. They were always so friendly and seemed to genuinely appreciate us being there. The hotel was clean, near lots of good food and felt very safe. Would definitely stay here again!
