I had the pastrami sandwich and fries. The sandwich was fine not great. The bread was dry and I've had better sandwiches. The fries were better than the sandwich and could feed at least two to three people.

GOODNESS! If there was a place that can give Katz a run for its money, Pastrami Queen is it. The prices for their pastrami's and various add ons are basically the same. You will enjoy Pastrami Queen and their shorter line (which I fear will soon end. This place is REALLY catching on!) Enjoy!

If you're looking for a sandwich that comes cold because of terrible delivery service, this is your place. Pastrami needs to be hot, everyone knows that. You're selling a $20 sandwich and cant properly get it delivered? We live a few blocks away and waited over an hour to get our food. Trash service and fatty poorly cut meats too. You can better spend your money by using it as toilet paper. This place has jumped the shark. Avoid at all costs.

So, I have passed by Pastrami Queen and have always wanted to give it a try. I walk in on a Monday evening around 8 pm, there were a few customers dining in and a two customers awaiting their orders. It wasn't terribly busy inside. I walked up to the counter and wanted to see how their pastrami and rye stacks up versus the other big names in NYC. I jokingly asked the staff at the register how their sandwich compares to Katz, he stated emphatically that they had the better sandwich. I was shocked at his declaration but had an open mind to give this place a chance. I take my sandwich which was approximate $25 dollars + taxes and brought it home. I opened the packaging to discover a large generous sandwich which offered a healthy serving or two of pastrami. I got the classic pastrami on rye with mustard.it certainly looked formidable, that was until I took my first bite into the sandwich. I have never experienced such a dry pastrami sandwich in my life. Perhaps it was due to me arriving an hour before closing or that the meat was not as fresh as it would be for the store's opening but I was not impressed. The sandwich was just inedible. I would give this place another try, maybe during the lunch hours but it was rather a big disappointment in my book.

I am not impressed especially when the sandwich is $23, with that price just go to Katz deli on Houston Street, The pastrami sandwich is 10 times better there. And for those debating whether if this is the best pastrami place in New York City are out their mind. Also my review is based on their pastrami sandwich only, I did not try anything else.

I always stop at Pastrami Queen when I'm in the neighborhood. Stopped by today. REALLY DISAPPOINTED! $23 FOR A CORNED BEEF SANDWICH. I used to get a corned beef sandwich that was huge.and it was $17.like Carnegie Deli used to be. 2nd Avenue deli also gives you a HUGE SANDWICH. Today, for $23, I got a standard size basic corned beef sandwich. Nothing special about it. If I'm spending $23 on a sandwich.there's needs to be good reason.otherwise there's no reason to spend that kind of money on a basic standard sized sandwich. Yes, prices have gone up due to the pandemic.but that doesn't mean you raise your prices 25+%. And give 25+% less food. Ridiculous. Oh well.ez come.ez go. It was good run. 2nd Avenue Deli here I come.

I love this place! The best pastrami in NYC. I always get some to go and eat it for days. Pickles and knish also very good!

Amazing pastrami! We also ordered the mushroom knish, chicken and rice soup, Cole slaw, pickles and “chicken fingers”. My kids are very picky so when I saw they had a chicken cutlet sandwich I figured we would all be able to enjoy a meal here. I asked for just the chicken cutlets and was told they didn’t have chicken cutlet, they had chicken fingers and fries. Ok, even better! When the chicken fingers came out, they were expertly fried, panko crusted, thin chicken cutlets. Everything was delicious. My kids also discovered that Dr. Brown’s cherry is their preferred soda. The egg cream is not a true egg cream but I would still order it again. They use Dr. Brown’s cream soda along with seltzer, milk and chocolate syrup. I’m not mad at them for it but I feel like it would be a fantastic touch if they took the effort to make an authentic NY Egg Cream.

The best pastrami sandwich I've had. 5 stars on that alone. French fries are underwhelming. I would recommend asking for extra crispy fries

Horrible customer service. Dry & crusty food

Ordered a pastrami sandwich for lunch, it was extremely hard and dried out. When I called to ask for a refund, the guy asked me to send him a picture of the food - then proceeded to tel me that the food was perfect and he wouldn’t give me a refund. When I tried to explain the texture, he said I was wrong and refused to help me.

$20 for a dried out sandwich.

Stay away.

The sandwiches here are freaking delicious and the service staff are awesome. I strongly recommend trying this place out when you get the chance.

Employees stealing from customers at this location. I ordered half a pound of hot pastrami, and it turned out to be quarter pound instead. I usually eat with my wife half a pound in a sitting with more left to spare but this time it was barely enough for one person. Pastrami is great but the short Spanish guy working there is meddling with the scales. Owner beware!
