Paulie Gee's Slice Shop reviews
19Without a doubt the best pizza slice I’ve ever had. The super crunchy crust and the super fluffy/light interior are the perfect example of why NYC pizza thrives like it does. Also, the seeded crust was phenomenal and I’d highly recommend a square slice so you can try it. The hot honey drizzle also leveled it up. 3 stars because when they handed me the tray with 3 slices on it, one of the slices was hanging way over the side of the tray rather far and it was pressed up against my jacket, ruining it and staining it with oil. I get that they’re moving a high speed, but even before that I got the sense from the staff that they weren’t super friendly and shouted for me to get out of the way (from the only place to view the slices they sell) rather rudely. A little more care and attention would go a long way
Visited Paulie Gee’s for the first time recently and it has taken my top spot for favorite pizza places in Brooklyn, Top 3 in all of NYC. The Freddie Prinze slice was amazing and so different than any other Sicilian I have tried. Highly Recommend. Will be going back again soon.
Something was up with the guy manning the oven tonight. We had ordered our slices cut, and the guy said we didn't, and upon showing our receipt, he just continued to ignore us and heckled we should have asked for it cut. The rest of the staff was lovely, but you could tell they were all trying to avoid confronting this man cause he was blowing up. Great food, but his attitude ruined the service and atmosphere tonight.
The pizza is good. I'm not a fan of pizza laying out all day and then reheated. The mootz was surprisingly tasty with a nice bit of olive oil. The Freddy Prince was dried out probably because it was not freshly made.
Best pizza slice in the city. Crispy bottom, a perfect sauce-to-cheese ratio, and the dough is slightly chewy and fluffy. The hellboy slice with pepperoni and hot honey is the best but their square slices are not to be slept on either.
Paulie Gee's Slice Shop is a New York-style pizza place located at 110 Franklin St, Brooklyn, NY 11222. It is the sister location to Paulie Gee's, a full-service pizzeria located on Greenpoint Avenue. The Slice Shop is a more casual, grab-and-go option, where customers can order individual slices or whole pies.
The Slice Shop offers a variety of classic and specialty pizzas, including cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and the signature "Hellboy" pizza, which is topped with soppressata, calabrese, hot honey, and mozzarella. The pizzas are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooked in a wood-fired oven.
In addition to pizza, the Slice Shop also offers a variety of sides and drinks, including garlic knots, salads, and sodas.
The Slice Shop is open seven days a week, from 11: 00am to 11: 00pm. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike, and is known for its delicious pizza, friendly staff, and lively atmosphere.
Here is some additional information about Paulie Gee's Slice Shop:
* It is wheelchair accessible.
* It does not take reservations.
* It is cash only.
* There is a small outdoor seating area, but most of the seating is indoors.
* They offer delivery and pickup through their website and app.
Thank you.
Friggin' amazing slices and squares. Please, come to Toronto and set up shop. The crust, the dough, the sauce, the cheese, the preparation, and the final product.incredible. We came by twice on our 4 day visit to NY, and would have come by more often if we were staying closer. If you had to choose only one option, the Freddie Prize corner slice is the winner.
I think if I was on death row this may be one of my last meals.
Hellboy pizza squared is amazing. Easily top 5 slices ever in my book. No frills restaurant. Just come here for a fast and very satisfying meal.
Dumbest ordering system in the world. If it’s a slice shop, you take the order so the pizza starts cooking, then you take payment. Waiting 20 minutes to order while the person at the register eats chips is so dumb
Hellboy = pepperoni and hot honey was excellent! Order up front, find a seat and they bring the slice to you. Quick, simple and delicious. Recommend
It was close to closing time. I was in the back with others. They turned off the TV's and made it much darker. We're all were still eating.
Why do restaurants do this? They say what their hours are. Serve until then but shut down.
They should say eating areas closes 15 minutes early or something like that. But to just shut down rudely is poor customer service IMO.
Incredible pizza. The vegan Freddy Prince is surprisingly (I am not vegan) excellent. The dough is first rate. Plus, all of the staff were so kind.
A Greenpoint staple! Not much can top Paulie Gee’s. If you’re just ordering a slice or two, I’d recommend getting a regular triangle slice. However if you’re getting a whole pie or it’s fresh out the oven, you must get a square slice!
This place was recommended to me from several friends who lived in NYC. It did not disappoint, best pizza I've had in the US. Hate to say this but pizza in Rome is better, but by much but better.
Always closes earlier than posted time. Runs hours you’d expect for a Midwest suburb, not NYC.
Really tasty pizza in a cool diner style place. Perfect place for a pit stop if you're in the area!
Did people forget what good pizza is? This pizza sorry to say was disappointing. Dry and tasteless. At 4 bucks a slice even worse.
It is what it is, old school decor with that Brooklyn touch (pre hipster.) The service is ok, I disagree with the service model but it doesnt stop the line form forming. Not the best pizza but still worthy for a pizza snob like myself. Solid reco if you’re around.
I love this spot to get by the slice pie from Pauline Gees.
I recommend trying all the toppings but my favorite is the hell boy which is a pepperoni square with honey on top.
Might get a pretty long line but moves. It’s also a solid move to grab a whole pie and take it to the waterside park across the street.
