Winery Paumanok Vineyards reviews
15Great vineyard to visit with family and friends. Excellent selection of wines and snacks. Plenty of heat indoor seating. Highly recommend vineyard to visit when traveling out on the east end of Long Island. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Been going there for many years. The Massoud family under the guidance of Charles and Ursula Massoud are truly beautiful people. All their wine is terrific.
I’ve done 4 wine cruises with them, a number of hours both at the winery and on the wine cruises in Europe. You can’t find nicer and sincere people anywhere.
Please, do yourselves a favor, if you like wine check them out in Aguabouge, LI.
Enjoy
Really enjoyed our stop at Paumanok Vineyards! The setting in the vineyards is beautiful and the tasting room has a window into the workroom for the winery. Our host was amazing and who knew you could carry that many bottles of wine at once? ! Wine was very nice and the charcuterie board was great. We started out as the only ones in the tasting room which was great. Would definitely recommend and to guarantee a tasting make an appointment on Tock.
Beautiful place! They also have oysters on the weekends. I ordered a lot of snacks and the charcuterie board was good also.
We are new locals visiting for the first time yesterday to try the red wine based on great online reviews. We were seated outside and the bees were unrelenting. We could not enjoy the wine we purchased and ultimately decided to leave as one of us has a bee allergy. Others around us left or relocated to the limited indoor seating.
Good resiling and environment and wait staff. Nothing to do for kids. Electric charging only for owner.
It is quite a drive along Long Island to get there but it is worth it. Very nice place, friendly staff and a gorgeous place to sip some wine, look at the vineyard and enjoy the sunset.
What a beautiful Vineyards it is!
How wonderful the staffs are!
I really enjoyed drinking Riesling and walking around!
Thank so much to Erica, Justin and Nina!
God bless you all.
Came for one of that Sunset Fridays with some friends. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was nice, the food was good, and the wines were good (really enjoyed the cab franc!) Only disappointment was that it was unclear what was on sale as part of the Sunset Fridays. It said at the top of the wine list that there were $8 glasses of festival wine, but nowhere on the wine list did any of the wines have festival in the name, so we wrongly assumed it was a discounted price for all of the wines for those special Fridays. We were surprised when we realized that each of our glasses were actually $14-16 instead. Wish that had been more clearly described.
Excellent somalier, beautiful vinyard, delicious wines (I especially liked the Cabernet Sauvignon)
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Paumanok Vineyard and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. Prior to our visit, we had booked the package tasting, which turned out to be a brilliant decision.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff who guided us to our outdoor seating area. The view was absolutely stunning, with lush vineyards stretching out before us. It provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and enjoyable wine tasting session. The package tasting included four different wines, each with its own unique character and flavor profile. Accompanying the wines was a delightful snack platter that perfectly complemented the flavors of the wines.
Overall, my visit to Paumanok Vineyard was an absolute delight. The combination of exceptional wines, a stunning view, delicious snacks, and attentive staff made it an experience to remember.
The place is very clean, and what a wonderful view and neighborhood, the wines were all pretty dry, I tried four of them and nothing really to my liking, but the atmosphere was incredible, and maybe they had wines more on the sweeter side for me but I don't know, I would definitely go back to try more based solely off the quality of the experience.
Friendly, cheerful, courteous staff, and a wonderful variety or exceptional wines. Comfortable space, warm ambiance, beautiful vineyard view.
Went as a group of 10 for a Bachelorette weekend in the area, and we were not disappointed! Called the day before to make a reservation and they were able to seat us on time. The tasting room is not large (maybe seats 40ish people), but the OUTSIDE.adorable. We of course had a cold/rainy weekend, so outside was not an option, but there was covered and uncovered deck areas, as well as maybe 2 dozen Adirondack chairs out in the grass; overlooking the vineyard. The meat/cheese board was delicious, as well as the 4 wines included in our tasting. The bottles were reasonably priced (18-30 each), and multiple girls bought some to take home!
As far as family-friendly goes (I have 2 kids so I am always wondering this in reviews), I would say if it is mild weather and you can be outside, yes; let the kids run around. Inside is way too small, and there are not activity areas for kids to post up at (coloring corner, games, kid-sized table, etx). But outside you can setup a blanket in the grass or something like that:)
