Pep Boys, New Hartford NY

Very poor service. Issues that were reported are not issues my vehicle has per multiple other shops. Very frustrated when they are more worried about upselling then the quality of work done.

Nelson was super helpful and very polite! I needed my tires replaced last minute due to a last minute cancellation somewhere else. He was able to get me in the same day & was able to quote me with a fair price.

Nelson helped me, extremely kind and an excellent customer service representative. So happy PepBoys New Hartford has him. Excellent addition to the already wonderful team.

Girl at counter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Mechanics were right on about problem with car. Had a coupon for oil change, so was decent price. Last time I was there, staff was not very friendly, so I had not been there in awhile. All the staff were very friendly. Nice change!

Nelson and the team at Pep Boys went above and beyond to help a mom in need. Just before close on a recent Saturday afternoon I showed up unannounced after a recommendation from AAA. I had a hole in my new tire from the Thruway. While my tires were not in stock, they found the perfect solution to allow me to drive the 300+ miles home to my kids that night. I know they went out of their way to get me back on the road again, safely. If I lived locally, I would trust them with all of my automotive needs. Thanks to the whole team!

Was told 1.5 hrs to swap 2 new tires onto 2 riesco which i dropped off. 2.5 hrs later still not done and the slow lazey workers is taking his time and on his phone and taking to other workers. I will never stop foot in another f boys as ling as i live.

Got a flat tire in an area that AAA doesn’t cover (Oneida, NY) and Sam of Pep Boys, New Hartford, NY came to the rescue! His wife was working in a store and she called him on his day off to change my tire!

He told me to come to Pep Boys the next day and they would fix me up! Sam greeted me the next morning and they explained my options and I was on my way in no time!

I can’t believe Sam took time out of his Sunday afternoon to change my flat - what a wonderful asset he is to Pep Boys!

Quality work at a fair price performed by competent mechanics who care about getting you back on the road safely. Efficient check-in process. Getting an appointment for service here is easy, too, with many bays, mechanics on duty and efficient scheduling of work (which means your car will be scheduled when its issue can be repaired timely). I trust Pep Boys with all my cars' mechanical needs. Like esp.how shop set back from hwy with its own driveway where there is only 2-way vehicle traffic. Huge plus. No double looks for parking lot activity.

My 81 year old father just experienced the worst service at the Pep Boys in New Hartford NY. After bringing his car on Wednesday for an issue he'd been experiencing since his last service at Pep boys, here are the unbelievable and appalling customer service issues we experienced:

1- allowed my father to sit waiting for his car for over 4 hours without telling him they wouldn't have time to look at it.
2- kept his car overnight without notifying him that they'd need to keep it.
3 - have kept his car for 2 days without providing an approximate time frame in which it would be done or without providing proactive updates.
4- to cap it off, when he called today, they continued to tell him they are still working on it without any timeframe. Immediately I called back and was told there is nothing they can do and we can pick it up.

As you might imagine, I am angry and appalled by the fact that my 81 year old father who only has one car has been strung along for days and inconvenienced. Not to mention that he has had to borrow my car in the meantime! My father, being elderly, kind, and loyal to Pep Boys as annoyed but over-looked the terrible service he'd received. However, I would interested to understand the reasons for this horrendous service.

The person who helped me at the service center today was absolutely amazing. Something wasn’t right with the tires I ordered online and he did everything he could to make things right and now my car feels better than brand new, I’m forever grateful. I wish I got his name. Not only that, but even with nation wide labor shortage these guys got the job done in a timely manner and were more than efficient. Honest, trustworthy people you can count on.

If you go deal with Mike, Sam, or Chris.you'll get the best service from either one of them.

Anthony at the automotive repair desk at the New Hartford NY store was exceptional at ordering us a tire since we had a flat on a Friday. He ordered and was told it would arrive on Tuesday but called and stated Federal Express changed delivery date to Wednesday. He apologized and it wasn't even his fault. Today in the world we live in people hardly apologize for their own mistake let alone someone else's. He went above and beyond to accommodate us. Pep Boys is lucky to have an employee like Anthony in their employment. Thank You Anthony!

Good prices with quality accessories. I was disappointed they didn't carry a tail pipe tip my application, a Ford F- 150 with a V8 engine.
