Got tires mounted at Pepboys and had to get rebalanced elsewhere. They laughed at how far off they were.

I had a tricky situation. The team at the Colonie, NY shop is wonderful. They worked with me on diagnosis and made the repair quickly and at a reasonable price.

We stopped to have a flat tire fixed. We were told that we'd have to come back in 4 days because they were busy, but they would fill it with air. But the crewmen saw the screw that was causing the leak & was able to plug it right away. I'm very pleased!

One of the headlights on my car stopped working Thursday (December 15) night. Friday morning I telephoned the dealer - where I purchased my car and have had all of the work done - and was told they could not change the bulb until January.

Friday I happened to see the Pep Boys store and pulled in. From the moment I parked until I got back in my car, the bulb replacement took less than half-an-hour! And the charge was less than $45!

I was so pleased. I would unreservedly recommend the Pep Boys on Central Avenue in Colonie (Albany County, New York) to anyone with any kind of motor vehicle.

The entire staff, at least the four men I spoke with, were polite, professional and unbelievably charming. Even the store itself was clean.

After this interaction, there is a very good chance my long-term relationship with the dealer is over and my long- term relationship with Pep Boys has begun.

One more thing. Five stars are not enough.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This place charged me $100 to do a diagnostic test I did not need and still could not tell me where my leak was. They are crooks, rude, & unprofessional. Beware and go elsewhere!

Placed a online order to get 4 tires put on, got my confirmation number, showed up for my appointment to be told there was no info and had to call costumer service. They said there was a online error and the store didn't get the order and couldn't get the tires put on the time and date of appointment, i don't no why they would send out a confirmation of appointment when it wasn't confirmed with the store, will not be spending any money at this store big wast of time

Scheduled inspection appointment online. Car was taken inside within 10 minutes.
Passed inspection and received 2 service recommendations based on the car mileage.

Went in needing 1 tire… get a call saying they found plugs in ~6 month old tires that had never been plugged or anything before. Think maybe it was possible I had been sold used from mavis. Get to my car and it’s very clear pep boys stuck something on the OUTSIDE of my tires to try and make it look like plugs. Would have seen these “plugs” every single time I looked at my car. Decided to go to a local business, not a dirtbag chain like pep boys who said the same exact thing. Pep boys was trying to scam me of my money. AVOID CHAIN MECHANICS. It’s funny because they revoked my access to the pictures they took as soon as I said I wanted a second opinion. THOMAS IS A DIRTBAG

These guys are the best was able to get us in and new tires on a Saturday. We really appreciated it day saved.
