Came in for a 10: 30 appointment and took them 3 hours for a oil change stop making appointments

I dropped off my car on Thursday 7/23 at around 8: 20AM. Pep boys in Brooklyn recommended that I replace my axles, and I also request to diagnosis the AC, replace the brake pads, change the right taillight, and store a tire under my car.

Nandawatti says, the axle needed wouldn't arrive from another location until 11: 00AM. She is very patient and kind with me so early in the morning. She assures me that my car will be ready later in the day. Sweet!

Once the axle arrived at 11: 00AM I call back to confirm service with, now, Fernando. Who seem to be rushing me off the phone. I call back at 5: 30PM after not hearing any updates. I speak to Alex now, who says that they were waiting on me for confirmation. Fernando dropped the ball. Now I'm frustrated because I find out that my grandmother isn't doing well and I will now miss visiting hours. I clear things up with Alex and he assures me that my car will be ready tomorrow at 12: 00PM.

I call at 12: 00PM and it's the patient Nandawatti again. She sounds confused because she also thought that my car should've been ready yesterday. She puts me on hold to find out the hold up. Turns out that one of the axles was difficult to remove and that the mechanic needed more time. My new pickup time is now 3: 00/4: 00PM. I call at 4: 00PM, it's Fernando again. Once I give him my information, he immediately says that the manager wants to speak with me and he will call me back in 5 minutes. 30 minutes pass, so I call him!

Now I'm over it, especially when Peter (the manager) says my phone went straight to voicemail, when he "tried" to call. Liar! I had no miss calls. He informs me that they couldn't complete the axle work because they axle they ordered didn't fit. So, I immediately head to the location. I'm next on line, but I tell the employee that I'm waiting for Peter, so that employee can take the man behind me. Peter hears me and says to the employee that she's the Hyundai for me. Yet Peter still begins to help the male customer first when the other employee walks behind towards the shop area. Feeling even more disrespected, I calm my nerves and wait patiently.

Finally Peter calls for me to explain that the mechanic couldn't change the axles because it wouldn't fit. I mean, the purpose of them ordering the axles from another location was to avoid this problem. Whatever! I ask about the other services. Nothing was done AT ALL! No brake replacement, no AC diagnosis, and the tire in my truck wasn't stored under the spare tire storage area. Peter didn't give me a reason for not servicing those other problems. Peter doesn't even apologize for wasting my Thursday and Friday. Now, I have to wait until after the weekend for to visit my granny because they don't allow visitors on the weekends. I will NEVER return to this location.

Peter is sexist! Fernando is lazy, Alex seemed fine, and sweet Nadanwatti was the exception. She was very patient and kind! My one-star rating doesn't reflect her wonderful service!

Terrible service. I need my car inspected so I made an appointment for today sunday august 2nd 2020 at 9am. I went in on time and then they told me they could not do the inspection because the machine was broken. Things happen I was not upset but then i became upset when one worker said it had not been working for days. So I askes them why if they knew it wasnt working why they didnt call me to let me know. I came back from NC and realized my inspection expired july 31st and now I am afraid I will get a ticket on the street for this. Just plain disrespect by not calling to let customers know the situation. I bring so much business to this store I hope they make it right.

Extremely slow customer service on Auto service department. They take more than an hour with a single customer. Very disappointed.

Wifi speed is excellent.

I ordered tires online. I went to the specific time as I took an appointment and I got a confirmation email about my tire install. I went to the shop gave them the key I waited for 30 mins. Then they called me and said they don't have the tire. They suppose to call me next day to let me know if the tires were here. I just found out they automatically canceled my appointment. There's very unprofessional. I did not expect that from pepboys.

There was one woman who was very very rude all I ask her is for some prices on some items I told her I'm not purchasing any today just needed to know if they have in stock and how much is it she acted as if I'm not giving her grandfather and The Business didn't know they were related she's either from Trinidad or Guyana

Please never ask Sevyn to handle your service. He is extremely unprofessional. He went on break in the middle of servicing me. I ended up having to wait an hour to be serviced by someone else who he did not transition his knowledge of helping over to.

The service expert Peter oa one of the best in the business. I had an issue with a previous pep boys store in new jersey and Peter was able to help me take care of the problem. And recommend great tires for my truck. I came all the way from Brooklyn and i will continue to do so with great service from store #0438.

I went there the first time over a month ago.got there literally 2 mins before they close and they took me in and resolved the issue with my car in a patient manner. I was extremely pleased so I went back for an oil change.super quick service and extremely friendly staff specially ajit! They make car servicing look so easy and fun!

Thanks so much for the wonderful break work you did on my Honda CRV, it works great now. Also, thanks to Vijay for the hospitality and good deal on the spare parts purchase and discount.
Honestly saying beside this gesture your Labor charges were pinching. One more thing Pl improve your client sitting area with comfort sitting and hospitality outputs.

I went there in a rush and also needed a lot of information. My car was well taken care of but the best part of the whole experience was Christopher, he was very patient with me and helped me so professionally. I waited two hours for an oil change. I was the first person to arrive. I was in the parking lot at 7: 23am, the place was supposed to open at 7: 30am. The place was not opened until 7: 41am. I was told by one of the mechanics to go to the entrance and they are open. Myself, another gentleman, and a woman were all waiting at the door. There are 2 female workers inside taking their time, wiping counter, walking slow, and not caring that paying customers are waiting in the freezing cold for this place that should have been open almost 15 minutes ago. But it gets worse, as I'm thinking I'm done, the guy who is wringing me up, which was not the original nice gentleman that helped me, tries to over charge me for the oil change, windshield wipers, make me buy a whole jug of antifreeze and washer fluid. I asked if they could have just topped it off because the truck is only a 2016 and I usually go to the dealer. The crooked guy said no. My original guy observed this crooked guy bring the jug saying we have to charge him extra for these two jugs. The original guy stops him in him tracks and tells him that he already topped off the vehicle for the customer. Maybe he did that because I was waiting 2 hours for the oil change and was late for my 9: 30 doc appointment, who knows. The woman who came in with me waited the same time as me and she only had an inspection which she called and made an appointment. You know what, I originally selected to give the establishment 1 star and would have picked 0 if I could, but I'm going to give it 2 stars for the original guy who helped me and saved me from the crooked guy. Thank you for stepping up and doing the right thing. I'm actually going to give you a 3 for that. Kindness goes a long way:)

2+ hrs for an oil change? Definitely go somewhere else. Sarcasm and lack of customer service is pretty unbelievable for a chain Servicer. I should add that there are some very kind reps here; unfortunately, it only takes one bad rep for a bad experience.
