Tuscan Restaurant Pepolino reviews
15Bohemian place, friendly staff but you have to dare to pay for your spaghetti dish (pasta + tomato sauce and a basil leaf) $27 without taxes - Notice to amateurs!
Love this place! Great staff. Not a great wine list, but there are a few gems if you look. Burrata appetizer was fantastic. We had three different pasta dishes, all fantastic. Ricotta cheesecake was out of this world! Staff was super attentive. Really great experience.
I had a large dinner of 15 people here and the pre fix menu was pretty good! The service was great and they were awesome to work with for organizing it
Very good Italian! Interesting vibe and prices are a little steep for what you get. Recommend the Fettucine Al Conglio
The food and service are superb. The food is simple but beautifully prepared and delicious. Try the crostada.
Everything is five stars, but the food is really the selling point. One of the best restaurants you’ve never heard of, and if you don’t think so you can go **** yourself.
My wife and I had a Friday night dinner here. We love the food - she ordered the seafood linguini, had a papadela (the first dish on the menu), and another appetizer that has eggplant and mazeralla in it. Every dish was good! The service was great too.
We didn't like the cocktail Verona which is $22, and we were a bit disappointed that they don't have affogato or tiramisu for dessert.
A 5 star experience all around! Authentic flavors, very friendly and attentive service, yummy bread and tomato paste thingy and EXCELLENT freshly made pasta. The gnocchi was so pillows and soft, perfectly complemented with the butter sage sauce. And the pappardelle pasta with wild boar ragu was impressive. A lovely atmosphere, perfect for date night or friends with dinner- inside and outside is so adorablewith the lighting. We'll be back!
I always wanted to dine at Pepolino since I heard very positive feedbacks, and I finally went for dinner tonight. Menu has many choices and between that and specials I chose as an appetizer, tuna mousse with red beets salad and orange caramelized, and as a main course,
Arista Roasted Pork Loin with fresh Herbs
Over peppers and zucchini.
The tuna mousse was simply amazing! All the ingredients and flavors were well balanced and the caramelized orange was surprisingly just perfect, instead of the usual/ common lemon zest largely used on fish dishes. The Arista was also another great surprise! I mean I had it before in other places, but not combined with peppers and zucchini. Great combination, perfectly cooked and with the right mix of herbs. You must try both dishes! Can’t wait to go back to Pepolino!
Went to eat here with my boyfriend last night, food was decent. However, I felt rushed as the check was brought to us without us asking for it. We paid and stayed seated as I’m simply trying to make conversation with my boyfriend and finish my glass of wine. The waiter and busser continued to step into the outside seating area (where we were seated) for the sole purpose of looking at us to see if we had left yet- or peer at us through the window. I caught them staring at us multiple times and speaking to each other and it made me very uncomfortable. There was still an hour until closing and various occupied tables outside. Coming from someone who used to work at a restaurant I get you’re trying to clean the table and prepare to close but this shouldn’t be happening an hour before closing and when we’re not the only people seated. Its rude and unprofessional.
We had a wonderful time at dinner, me as a visitor, my friend as a local, and my two little kids. Not necessarily trying to cater to kids but they sure were patient with us and we really enjoyed our wine and food. It was a very special meal. Thank you!
AMAZING Italian restaurant! I came here on a Saturday for lunch and the place was practically empty. I sat outside in their beautiful outdoor patio area. The waiter was very kind and gave us some phenomenal suggestions.
To start the bread and the Suppli’ di Riso we’re fantastic. I really enjoyed the tomato paste that the bread came out with. And the Suppli di Riso was fantastic. The tomato sauce it was in was beautifully made and had rich depths of flavor.
The Maltagliati al Ragu’ di Vitella was also fantastic. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the veal ragu tasted amazing.
We finished off with the Pollo Agli Agrumi. This dish was to die for. The mix of the citrus and the chicken was delicious. It actually might be one of my top chicken dishes ever as it was such a great combination of flavors. The chicken was also cooked perfectly.
Overall, this restaurant was amazing and 100% recommend!
An amazing hidden gem, just wow! Authentic to the bone. Great service, staff/host/care, homey atmosphere, and delicious food. Many options for all type of eaters. We will be back many times and glad we ran into this one - a must!
The ricotta cheesecake at PEPOLINO is nothing short of a masterpiece. Every forkful is a divine revelation, where velvety smoothness meets a delicate balance of sweetness. The cheesecake’s creamy texture melts in your mouth, leaving an unforgettable impression. 100% recommended!
We were seated in a really terrible spot. The area smelled like urine. I wouldn't come here again. They were not forthcoming on whether or not it was kid friendly, etc. They don't have an established dress code. I also noticed they have an abundance of IKEA furniture. It's not a Tuscan establishment.
