Mediterranean Restaurant Pergola reviews
15Awful place, food hookah and drinks are bad. Very pricy rude and mean owner. Worst experience ever.
Hookah was good and drinks were good. Food was ok, would have been more satisfying if we didn’t have to wait over an hour for it to come out to us. Price didn’t really match quality or portion size. I would possibly visit again for hookah and drinks, but would not visit again for the food.
The one star is a reflection of Anita and the manager, very rude. The only people paying attention to us were the Mexican guys. Very colorist vibes.
It was nice Mediterranean restaurant, we figured it out to walk in at last minute and it was great.
Went here for a friend's birthday. This is a nice place. Don't expect the decor to be overly upscale and bougie. This is a really great 'hole in the wall's type hookah, restaurant and bar. The drinks are VERY good and the food is just as amazing. The atmosphere and vibe is on point, great music while you drink, eat and/or smoke.
Great service, music, ambiance and place to hang with friends. Drinks were good. Saw lots of couples here as well & would suggest it as a good spot for a date. Looking forward to coming back to try their food items.
Crazy expensive for the food they serve not to mention that the set up dinner for big parties it’s horrible I love paying for a good food, but it really hurts me when I gotta pay $700 for trash food I forgot to mention the drinks! Basically you paying for juice that’s what it is juice
Good place when you go off hours. Food is good and atmosphere is nice. But on weekends, gets stupid busy, overly packed and service is just terrible and rude.
Talk about great service without hunting your waiter down or anyone to get attention. We first went on a Friday and were introduced with warm welcoming and great food and drink recommendations and Hookah options which was new to us. Who doesn’t love great food, hookah and drinks.
Our reservation ended at 11pm but they were so nice and had us stay until 11: 30pm and it turned into a lounge around midnight. I would come back here to visit them whenever I’m in NYC. Love the service and vibe.
The environment service food drinks everything is wonderful, we are always well attended to and we always have a good time
Look wise - Aesthetic.
Price wise- Don’t show the drink prices on the menu. So 20 dollars for an espresso martini and the water costs 8 dollars each time you get it (? !? !) Oh to top it off I got food poisoning. Ordered food, took a few bites and puked twice before I even got a chance to leave, been sick for two days. Lamb chops are the only thing worth getting. Or the salmon.
Service- okay. Server was great till I asked to remove my order from the bill. RBF impatient and short.
I won’t be returning to this racist establishment. I am a regular at this establishment but my recent interaction here prompted me to leave a review. I recently went for a friends birthday celebration. When my girls and I arrived they gave us trouble at the door. We waited for over 30 minutes in the rain, as we watched them let all these visibly light skin or white women in who didn’t have reservations or even look like they had money to spend. I observed every interaction closely. This is an important note because I even told the owner at the door that I’d be open to buying my own table as there was one table left. I eventually said something to the owner about my observation of letting all the other women in and not our party and he shouted at me like a runaway slave. Needless to say, I left. As I mentioned, it was raining outside and we never got inside to enjoy our friend’s birthday celebration. The vibes were as colorist as you can imagine. It’s sad that there are venue owners in NYC that would opt for a colorism vibe over Benjamin’s. If you want to feel the segregation vibes of the early 1900s come here. They’ll remind you in 2023 that your money isn’t welcome there unless you’re a rich black male celebrity. They could care less about Black women or our people as a whole.
The hostes at the front had nasty attitutudes the Asian woman along with the other 2 blonds with curly hair. If their frustrated with their jobs then they should find another one.
Update went there again tonight and the manager would not let us in. I’m happy there’s a class action suit against this place.
Came in on a Sunday afternoon, shortly after opening time; enjoyed some mezze and hookah. Great atmosphere, top-notch food, and equally great hookah. Would happily revisit in the future.
