Peter cedeno is scammer and greedy and shady person. He does not care about your case, all he cares about is money which he will take first and thats it after that you should see how rude and disrespectable he can be. I had a case during which he not only delayed the process for six months on purpose after talking to my ex but also held information to proceed the case further.bottom line is he is not reliable he may play double with you and your opponents also. I strongly advise to stay away from such looter who will just make a huge bill and will not take responsibility for your case

Mr. Cedeño is one of the best attorneys in family court matters. Always responsive and available at anytime to answer questions. His staff is friendly and very responsible, one of the few attorneys I have seen with his level of professionalism and education in the field. Always available to answer any questions and puntual.

My first attorney represented me in family court. I paid over $7,000 and got nowhere! My brother recommended Sandra Spennato so I cut ties with the 1st attorney, collected my files and started again from scratch with Sandra. Anna handled multiple court appearances, drafted several documents, and negotiated with the other lawyers to achieve a fair and favorable outcome for multiple issues with my separation agreement. Peter Cedeno took on my complicated divorce case which also included a real estate issue which he said he could manage as well when he was not qualified to do so. He charged me in the five figures and did nothing for my case - other than draw things out, waste time and sign a document without my knowledge or consent that further restricted my movement with my children from outside of New York State to New York COUNTY - that's right - restricting us to live in Manhattan with no waiver included if the non-custodial parent moved from Manhattan - which he did (he moved to New Jersey).

He also supported an attorney for the children who was assigned to the case - with whom he had a "working relationship" - who was a complete waste of time and money. He did not even know the ages of my children when the judge asked him in court and he forgot their names! But hey, why not support your buddy getting $10k.

His former colleague, Carly Steinberg, was helpful to some extent but she has since left the practice.

He is rated five stars on here and 10 out of 10 on AVVO because he constantly massages these rankings and whenever there is a bad review, he gets them scrubbed. So the data is bias and not reflective of all clients. Hopefully yelp will not yield to that bullying and nonsense.

With my case, Mr. Cedeno bit off more than he could handle and by executing the aforementioned document, forced my children and I to live in Manhattan for much longer than we wanted to do so even after the non-custodial parent moved from Manhattan to New Jersey. He also completely aborted on the real estate issue - instead of maybe being up front about not being able to handle it in the first place - which caused me to scramble to find other counsel and eventually lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in the settlement.

Maybe there is a niche where Mr. Cedeno thrives - but he fell far short with my case and his reviews should reflect his full body of work.

Mr Cedeno, you've "denied any wrongdoing" with respect to your sexual relationship with Atesa Pacelli. Are you suggesting that the SMS conversation with Mrs Pacelli was not coercive and manipulative? The things you said seem inappropriate and clear misconduct for a divorce/family attorney.

Wow, Peter is a miracle worker. He not only got me custody of my 8 children, he was able to get my husband deported and he still has to pay me alimony. He did it all pro-bono as well. His knowledge of the law is second to none. Don't believe all the reports from nypost, daily news or ripoffreport about him.

Quick talker says everything that sounds good no stars con of a lawyer took 2500 from me to appear one day in court then sent a college kid to court late that had no idea of my case very bad service wouldn't recommend them to represent my dog.

This lawyer is a sham. Peter Cedeno prays on the innocent. Take your money and get nothing out of it. Mr Cedeno is the trap he lures you in with a fast sales pitch gets your money and pawns you off on his lower end attorney who just graduated law school. You literally get billed hundreds of dollars for a two second email. Do not hire this lawyer unless you want to be broke quickly with results you could obtain better on your own. Peter Cedeno makes you think he is the one you are getting then passes you off to someone else. Then mid stream he let you make payments and then decide it's all or nothing. I literally paid $4000 already owe another $3800 and haven't even been to court yet but once for two minutes to set a new date. I guess this is how Peter Cedeno is rich by praying on the poor. I am a hard working middle class mom who has a disabled older child and younger child am about to be homeless in about two months and it's not like I didn't or haven't paid him and he fired me as a client saying all or nothing. I plan on going to the board to report him so if nothing else his record with the bar isn't as clean as he makes it out to be. I hope you can sleep well at night Mr Cedeno.

Awful experience with this lawyer i am so upset how Peter Cedeno pretend to treat you nicely just to charge you lot of money and dont do their job well and efficient. Very very DISAPPOINTED
