You can feel the fantastic energy from the second that you open the door and walk into this historic establishment. My wife and I loved this place!

Great staff.especially our waitress Larissa! She was absolutely amazing! Super personable and helpful. A ROCK STAR! It was obvious that she loved what she does and is proud to work at this great restaurant!

We enjoyed the energy and crowd noise around the bar; but appreciated the fact that the dining area was quiet enough to have a reasonable conversation without shouting over the noise.

You can feel the history of this place.lots of pictures and really cool decor.

The cocktails were delicious and so was the burger, salad and dessert that we ordered.

Such a perfect experience. We are definitely coming back and definitely asking for Larissa!

Timeless classic bar. Opened 1864. What else is there isn’t to like. Beautiful wooden bar, during Christmas it’s a whole scene (as pictured). You’ll love it,

If they spent as much time on the food and drink quality as they did on the holiday decorations, this place would be half decent.

Drinks tasted like toilet bowl cleaner. The celery was the best part of the chicken wing dish.

Good service, nice people. This place has a lot of potential. Definitely in need of mold remediation based on the smell (old does not equal moldy, there’s a difference) and the leaking ceiling preventing entrance into the ladies room in the basement.

I wanted to love Pete’s but it really needs some TLC.

The ambiance is wonderful however the food is not to rave about. The pasta dish just serving only 2 mini meatballs for $25? Seriously? A small dish of penne with sauce just thrown on it with 2 little meatballs / a shame to serve that. I asked the waitress if they forgot the rest of them. Also the porterhouse for 2? Was not worth the $89. They salted it a lot and wasn’t to die for. Fried calamari was good. I think been there done that is enough. Very disappointed

How could you not love this place. Charming, warm, located in Irving. An absolute NYC staple.

The food was very good, the service was adequate, and the noise level was a little high, but not painful.

Popped in for a drink on a cold November afternoon. Great atmosphere. Very busy. Decked out for Christmas and this pub has a great history. See the photos of many celebs who've visited in the past on the walls while you wait for the restroom.

What can I say? Love this place! Been around forever and forever more please️ the tastiest top quality, clean, fun bar foods. Chicken wings, burgers, and onion rings. I'm always craving their onion rings. Hard to find a good solid onion ring in NYC. The staff are so friendly you feel like you know them.

Typical tavern fair. Lovely service, dessert put them over the top! In fact the flourless lava cake was so good I gobbled it down like a little piggy and got a stomach ache. Would do it again.

Nice bar with a lot of history. Worth it to go grab a drink if they have a table available. The food is not the highlight the ambiance is.

We had the wings and calamari. Calamari was good. Cool old par with nice patio to people watch.

One of the oldest taverns in Manhattan, though like others it claims top status. The tavern is notable for its frequent visits by author O. Henry, a fact which is proudly displayed on the awnings. We had a few beers standing at the bar. A very young and lively crowd on a Saturday evening. Friendly people. Beautifully appointed interior with a gorgeous bar facade. Would definitely recommend if you are a history buff exploring New York City.

Been coming to this place for 7 years. First time back since Covid. Food is amazing. Service is amazing. The ambiance is also as “old school NY” you will find in the area. Gramercy Park is a great area, but not many gems like this around.

Had the pleasure of meeting Juan and the rest of the team at the bar. Best service I could ask for from a new crew. Thank you.

PS. That may be the reason they are the oldest pub in the city. And the Bourbon/Scotch/Whiskey list is proper…

Pete’s Tavern is a neighborhood staple for Gramercy. Perfect for low key drinks.

The best time of year is Christmastime — their lights set up is amazing.

If you’re looking for a less crowded/touristy version of Rolf’s — this is the spot.

There's a lot of open seats outside the restaurant, so we were able to bring our dog in to eat alongside us!
Tables were clean and the staff were very friendly to our pup even if she did bark at them sometimes. (sorry waiters!) They were also kind enough to give her a water bowl, since it was a little warm outside.
My pup recommends the calamari and the steak if you ever want to eat here!
Will definitely go again in the future:)
