Rare animals of questionable origin in unclean enclosures of inappropriate size & furnishings, maintained by a well-meaning but inadequately knowledgeable staff. For reptiles. Birds are similarly sad, but sell quick, as do the puppies (mill-esque, to say the least).

Honestly, I'm a bit conflicted here. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable, but the store is in obvious need of a thorough cleaning. One of the dogs looked a bit sickly, other animals were showing signs of stress and distress.
They do have a huge selection, prices are very fair.

Great selection of everything animal related. I go for the salt water stuff, usually decent looking tanks with plenty of choices. Prices are very competitive in.

Anything you need will be here. The store is packed with a variety of things. Maybe over packed. For everything they have going on, the store is in decent shape. I go here a couple times a week for live mice. If you have any issues they always try to make it right

I love taking the trip up to Pets Plus. We get most of our reptiles and their food from here. Staff is helpful and very friendly.

Nice selection. But not impressed with the prices. They nearly doubled in the last year. It is what it is. I just know I won't be making that 25 mile trip again any time soon.

I only shop here as last resort as I have not found anywhere else close to buy live feeders. It is a cool site when you walk into the store but as you spend a little more time walking around you start to feel very bad for all the animals in the store. I bought several Feeder rats here for pets and they were heavily infested with mites and I had to spend $350 to get them treated at the vet. When I asked the pet store about the mite issue they told me to buy diatomaceous Earth to treat it. Being an exterminator for a living I know that does not work and is not safe for the animal. The fact that they admitted to it and still sold the animals shows the neglet. Whevever I have bought mice to feed my snake if they do not get fed within 24 to 48 hours they die again because of poor health issues. The vet highly recommended against buying any animals here as they've had many problems with animals being brought to the vet very sick due to poor treatment. Also if you buy something they don't always give you the receipt. So if you buy the wrong light bulb for example and you go back there to exchange it they will ask you for and receipt that they never give you and Won't allow you to exchange the item even if you go to the same person that sold it to you less than an hour prior. I can't speak for the birds but being an owner of various reptiles, rodents, cats and dogs I can say that they do not take care of any of those animals properly. For example a bearded dragons once they get past a certain age the.cannot be kept together as they will kill each other. Overall if you have to go to a pet store this is the last place you should try to go to. If you just need various supplies it's OK but do not recommend buying any animals from here.

Loved this place highly recommended I'm from Southern tier NY and travel up here regularly Def will be coming here again they carry frozen fish food for my cichlids!

My husband went in today to get some African cichlids and noticed that they had Longfin Fire Barbs in stock, which I myself have been in search of for almost 8 months now. He decided to get me two males so that the red in them really came out. When he got to the car he looked at them and noticed they were neither longfin fire barbs or male. They were female Odessa barbs. He proceeded to go back in to get them changed out because he wanted and paid for Longfin Fire Barbs and the employee in charge of the fish was no where to be found to change them out. So now we have two Odessa barbs and no Longfin fire barbs. Needless to say I'm extremely disappointed in the fact that the employee doesn't know the difference between a Longfin Fire Barb and an Odessa Barb and then does not take care of their section when called to assist a customer. I will not be recommending people to come here.

Love this place. I got angle fish tri colored sharks rainbow sharks roseline sharks and alge eaters about 6 months ago all are still alive and thriving

BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT PURCHASE LIVE ANIMALS FROM THEM! My iguana died from MITES from this place, a short few days after purchasing him. He was clearly ill from all of these little bugs crawling all over him. When I called and spoke with the owner I was offered store credit. So I drove 45 minutes with a dead iguana back to the pet store only to be given a slip for another iguana. When I asked whoever was working about the store credit I was told I would get, she was extremely rude and said I'm "lucky I can get another iguana. " I called back asking to speak to the owner. Instead Alyssa the store manager called me back. Again, extremely rude, when I told her I do not want another animal from them because obviously they are not well cared for and that I either want store credit or my money back. I asked to speak to the owner, to which I was told no. So after spending over $600 at this place, I am being refused my money back due to their neglect of these animals. I asked multiple times to speak to the owner and even left my name and number for him to call me back. It's pretty sad when the owner of the business won't even speak with me to make things right. STAY AWAT FROM THIS PLACE!

This is not your cleanest pet store. The place is dirty and the animals do not look all that healthy. I guess they don't regulate these things here in Lockport. Really this place may be in need of new management. Clean it up a bit and maybe clean up the pets. It is a shame as they have a great selection but really, I wouldn't recommend buying anything that you intend to live a decent amount of time there. Can't knock the staff or prices though. The staff was nice and the prices were comparable but the place needs to be cleaned and the animals need to be tended too a bit better.

I purchased a pet from here and they put it in a box that was taped shut with no air holes. I was also forced to buy specific from them even though I already told them I had my own at home. I felt like they were trying to push other items on me that I specified that I already had. The workers that helped me tried to convince me to get more than one pet, but I knew better. I was shopping with someone else and when they walked away, the workers tried to get me to buy something else that I wasn't looking for. Their prices are outrageous and their variety is non existent. Overall, if you want a pet and don't mind paying the extra, make sure you have done your own research so that you can be in and out with what YOU want and not what they try to push onto you.

EDIT: As the owner had replied, if that's your view of it all. That's fine. But what's your excuse for putting an animal in a cardboard box and taping it closed with no way to breathe? Screw everything else. You don't know how long of a drive I have home. What if I had to keep them in that box for 30 minutes to an hour with no air holes? There's no excuse for that.

These people are liars they are claiming I was on the phone with people screaming and yelling but that is very much a lie! They claim they were trying to explain to us what to do with the bird which was also a lie. These people are not civilized at all and can not hold a civilized conversation! Very unprofessional and rude!

Very disgusting workers here with nasty attitudes. I purchased a very nice bird that was happily interacting with us the guy grabbed him violently and took him to the back of the store. He placed the conure in a box with only 3 holes on it and ever since his treatment of the bird the conure has been terrified of us to the point that we can’t walk past the cage without it jumping and flapping all over the cage. The poor bird is traumatized badly from the experience with the worker at this store. I called to inform them I felt I needed to return the pet to the store because he is extremely unhappy and the guy yelled at me stating I needed to give the bird more time. I know it takes time for birds to adjust but there has been no progress and the bird seems to have severe ptsd he either changed the bird I chose while at the back of the store or he badly traumatized him!

I drove over an hour to come shop at this store, and I was told I couldn't bring my newborn in because I need a stroller to push him. I explained I had a disability, and could not carry him. I was told I could place a order for what I needed, and they would bring it out to me. The reason given was they didn't want my stroller (lightweight plastic and fabric) doing damage to glass fish tanks. When I asked if they also had the same requirement for disabilities that require wheel chairs, they said, no they allow them. It's a shame they can pick and choose which disabilities they are willing to accommodate.

Horrible service. Nasty attitudes from workers.
The store is cluttered, filthy And also smells horrible once you walk in and as you can see from the other reviews their animals will die instantly I would not recommend this store at all to buy any animal from. Needs to be shut down. These poor animals needs to be saved from these people. If I could give negative stars I would!
