PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown reviews
16 Great rooftop bar in midtown. There are three main areas, one by the entrance and others after crossing a flowery hallway. There is a small area which is another level from the main bar and gives an even better rooftop view. Overall, Views are nice and the place has an amazing vibe with great service.
The only downside we felt was limited food options but it’s a great place for a large group to get drinks together.
Beautiful rooftop, loved the flower tunnel. Drinks are pricey but not more than any other rooftop in the city. The staff is polite and friendly
Nice vibe and ambience. Not really a fan of the cocktails here, they were too sweet for me (Wet dreams was good)
Need to really work on their restroom services.
P. S.: my reservation was for 12AM so the experience shared is for post 12AM
Went during happy hours but the menu was not nearly as extensive as they had on their website. I went for $10 cocktails and got charged $17 with only selections from the most basic drinks that tasted like pure vodka. The bartender seemed confused and nonchalant when we asked more. Good vibes but would not come back
Alright so, my friends take me here to celebrate my birthday & at first the ambience & service was great! Our waitress was very enthusiastic & friendly, until we received our food & was unsatisfied. Some of what we ordered was the fried mac & cheese balls which majorly lacked flavor & chorizo quesadillas which also fell flat on taste. We also had the french fries that seemed to be the only enjoyable thing on our table. When we complained that the food was not to our liking, we began to notice how our waitress’ attitude changed. She became dry & completely disappeared from our section. We had to rely on the help of another waitress whom also had an attitude. The food was just mediocre appetizers with entree prices & I’m sure we would’ve had a better experience at Chick Fil A; which we did because that’s where we had to go after being that we had were still hungry.
We had a wonderful time at PHD Terraces. The food, ambiance and servers were great. Highly recommend this place! Don’t forget to take picture!
PROS: Welcoming staff, no issues if you are late if you have reservations. Food options were decent. CONS: They want reservations on a credit card hold, however no one picks the phone when they want you to call them if you are running late. $30 no show charge is excessive, should never be a condition for this rooftop. The flower decor is the saving grace. Space is limited, I was a bit disappointed at the area. They can use some more lights. AC wasn't working in the partial covered area at a 91 degree 10pm evening. Views are not that great. Went to Westlight a few nights before and had that experience in mind.
The food wasn't that great but presentation was beautiful and the atmosphere was great but it's small on the penthouse and it shouldn't have booked so many people up there because it rained and we all had to go inside and it was so crowded. Service was amazing very friendly staff.
This was my first time here. I like the environment. It's nice and calm. Not super loud like most places. Food was good. I got a lot of cute pictures here. I definitely recommend.
We waited at bar but only 1 person serving so left. Other bar not open even through 2 staff hanging around
Went to this place for a bday dinner. I will say the drinks are not that great neither is the food the ambiance is really nice. Beautiful view on the roof top. Nice place to take photos
My bartender here was on point and made great recommendations. Great vibes and good music!
Place is nice with good food and drinks. But the service and the music wasn’t good at all. Not a good variety of music.
Bar in an absolutely fantastic location overlooking Times Square from above. Of course the prices are ridiculous. But it's worth it for a drink or two.
A really uninteresting place. I went there following recommendations on a blog for tourists, and I am very disappointed.
The place is very "did you see me" but for no reason.
Cocktails ($20) are served in plastic "wine" glasses.
The place is dirty, poorly maintained, very cheap, damaged and dirty carpets/tables/benches.
The toilets are dirty and do not even close in the women's room!
The view is not extraordinary.
The attendance is in the superficial, especially for the photos for instagram.
