Went on a trip to NYC with my family and wanted some professional pictures last minute. I looked around for many photographers and PhotoStoriesNYC had the best customer service. Always responding fast and willing to take the job with no head-ups. Highly recommended.

I booked Photostories NYC to shoot my proposal in January 2023. I booked MONTHS in advance with the photographer Kevin and got their highest package, which includes all photos take, a video, mug, photo book, calendars, and prints. I was told that because I booked so far in advance and got the highest package that the photographer would keep the day open for me. He made all these promises about showing up extra early so he can have everything set up and guide me about placement and what direction I should be facing, etc. I wanted to do a sunset proposal and let him know, to which he said no problem and suggested the best time would be 30 minutes before sunset for optimal lighting.

On the day of the proposal, he showed up 30 minutes late, so the proposal would be right at sunset when it was already getting dark. Then he said he would need to set up an external flash which would take another 15 minutes. Obviously there was no extra time for help with placement prior to the proposal. Even after the proposal, there were minimal poses suggested.

After the proposal, he sent the link for the photos and noted that he needed the full payment before sending out the hard items (video on USB, mug, photo book, calendars, and prints). After sending the payment he said the package would be shipped out in the next 2 weeks. He never communicated any updates and confirmation that the package was sent. After about a week of when I was told the package would be shipped, I messaged him for an update. He did not respond for many days, during which I sent him multiple reminder texts. He responded one time saying the package should be delivered the next day and I immediately responded asking for a tracking number and again, he failed to reply. The package did not arrive as promised so I reach out to Photostories NYC through their website, to no avail. I then reached out to them on instagram and someone finally messaged me back with an update. They said there was a problem with the original package so they will send it again. We asked for updates and tracking numbers, nothing was provided. 65 days after my proposal, I received a package with all the items I had ordered EXCEPT my video. Yet again, I reached out to them via text, call, and instagram to try and get this video, even as a link. It has been almost 2 weeks and I have yet to receive a reply.
