I have to say - I was impressed because I always thought oh it’s a low key neighborhood spot. But the wines are great, the tapas are amazing, and outdoor vibe/indoor vibe is incredible. Got to experience both because it was pouring and they were kind enough to move us inside. I’ve always walked by this place and wanted to try it. Now I’m adding it to my UES rotation. Great spot, great service. I’ll be back.

The food was so good, I talked about it as my win for the week during a team meeting. And the service was outstanding. I like that the outdoor seating area is covered but is actually open-air and not the fiberglass huts with doors. Great drink list, creative variety of tapas. Went twice in one week!

I give three stars when the food is ok but I wouldn't plan to return or recommend the restaurant. A couple tapas dishes were good, others were overcooked or very oily.

So disappointed with the food at this restaurant. We ordered the spicy ceviche, ham and cheese croquetas, bacalao and carne adobada. The ceviche wasn’t even spicy and the shrimp was hard like rubber- not fresh at all. The croquetas were decent, but barely had any ham. The carne was cooked well but didn’t have any flavor. The bacalao was covered in vegetables and came in a deep dish, but still tasted like nothing. The food was overall bland and poor quality. We spent about $80 on food we didn’t even like. The waitress was kind enough to put the ceviche on the house. Not coming back, boqueria has much better food for the same price.

Had a great experience at Pil Pil. The food was good. I like my grilled octopus. Flatbread and lamb chos were tasty, too. The staff were friendly and service was good.

OMG. What a wonderful delight to find this place in the middle of the “bomb cyclone”. Pil Pil is a hidden gem in the upper east side. They have The best olives I’ve ever tasted. The Baclao al Pil Pil is mouth wateringly good!

Every dish we ordered was awesome! We wish we came with more appetite. I recommend you fast for a day before you come here

This restaurant claim to be a Tapas Spanish Restaurant. I have ordered food for the first time from Pil Pil yesterday. The food tastes bad. It was reheated food. The Spanish Tortilla was bad. The Pan con Tomate had nothing to do with Pan con Tomate from Spain. It seems like the cook has never been to Spain. They Use Frozen products only. Very bad experience

Tried this place for the first time. I really enjoyed it. I like that the restaurant offers Spain wines and beer. We enjoyed the Cava wine and Estrella Galicia. The calamares frito was probably one of the best calamari I have ever tasted. The croquetas with spinach were so good. The flatbread with jamón serrano was prepared very nicely. The staff were incredible and so attentive. We loved the fact that we could dine outside with our dog. They were nice enough is not to charge us for a dessert because they had sold out of the one I ordered. I highly recommend this place and I’m thankful for the service we received. I just wish they offered coffee service.

Very cute place with unique decor and vibe. The food was delicious (albeit slightly expensive given the small portions even for tapas). The place was packed on the Friday night we visited. Not a problem now that businesses are wide open, but to try and squeeze in another pair of diners at our 4ft table was almost comical. The people they tried to seat us with took one look at the situation and declined to sit there. I don't blame them - we would have literally been rubbing elbows. Would go back though.

The servers were very kind and helpful. But this food was not good at all and definitely not worth the price. I ordered the fried calamari, lamb sliders, and the ham on flatbread, with a few other items. Everything just tasted either bland or.odd. I wish I didn't have to write this review but in my opinion, there are much better tapas restaurants in NYC. I'd skip this one.

Home to the best tapas in the upper manhattan! Make sure to try their brunch or their Sunday evenings for half off wine bottles!

The best place in Upper East Side! The food is so delicious, portions are perfectly enough to fill you up. The staff, including hostess, waiters and busboys, are so nice and pay attention to everything and good at communicating. We will definitely come back more! Thank you to the staff running around in this hot and humid weather at 91 degrees of Fahrenheit in outdoor sitting.

P. S: The only thing is that they don’t serve cocktails, just wine and beer.
