Pio Pio, Queens NY

I love the food at pio pio, and the server was nice. 4 stars because I think this location could use a little change of decor. The ambiance, I felt, was lacking a bit.

Don't be fooled by the nice restaurant decor as the food is absolutely terrible and the service is disgusting.

We were served an avocado (palta rellena) filled with soggy onions and tomatoes and one lonely, overcooked shrimp. The dish was not edible, it was just terrible.

We ordered BBQ chicken and we're not sure if it was chicken or a canary on the plate because it was so tiny and dumped solo on the plate.

We ordered coffee which was served on a paper plate with disposable utensils. The coffee was weak and we couldn't drink it because we were doubtful as to how the dark liquid had been prepared.

The tres leches was a piece of angel cake soaking in a liquid that appeared to be a combination of milk and water. The cake was hard and aged so we had to skip that too.

The music was extremely loud and we asked if the volume could be turned down and were told that the sound was preset and couldn't be adjusted.

The waiter kept disappearing on us although the restaurant was empty and we had to walk around to look for help.

We didn't order entrees because the appetizers were so poorly prepared and the dessert ended up being just as bad.

This was a dreadful experience and knowing how delicious Peruvian food is, sadly, the food at Pio Pio 2 on Northern Blvd, was an insult to the refined Peruvian cuisine.

I used to go to the old location when I was younger and visited queens. Super surprised by this great new location, super spacious and accomodating. Love the live mariachis and ofcourse the food did not disappoint, the chicken and all the sides were great, the ceviche was a hit and the sangria was delicious and super strong.
It was my birthday celebration and they brought out a cake and sang me a happy birthday, always a cool thing to have as a "surprise".
We appreciate a honest server who gives real recommendations and isn't trying to upsell and we felt that is the service that we received!

Host or whatever was going to sit us was extremely rude, is customer service if you can't be nice to people this is not your calling. This is the 1st impression customers get when they come in and is not inviting at all.

Good was good, but service was very slow. Although it seems that that day they were struggling with staffing. So I don't think this is an every day issue.

Honestly the empanadas de Pollo (chicken) mehh the texture of the outside wasn't good. The calamari was to rough. French fries were the only good thing plus the sangria. Also waiter charge me for a soda that I canceled because he could remove it from the bill or forgot he actually gave me $3 dollars back from his pocket. Who does that. It took 3xs for me to ask for my bill btw honestly sorry but never again. This place is just a classic name that's it.

Food was good especially the chicken and the hot dog and French fries lol trust me get a order of it when you go you won't regret it and the service was good could have been a little better all in all definitely worth going

We were waiting for food for over an hour and a half and never got served. The staff were clueless and didn’t care at all. We complained and they did not care of offer anything. We just got up an left and they didn’t care at all

Food was good, service was terrible. We came for a birthday dinner on Sunday 10/17 and they completely forgot about our table. We had to get our own birthday cake from behind the counter and sing happy bday to ourselves. Usually service is better but I guess only when the owner is here. Our waiter came to the table 20 minutes later to give us a knife to cut the cake, we already used the table knife because it was taking too long. We asked for drinks several times and they never came back. Worst part is other people had birthdays and it seems like they prioritize based on the size of your table. We came with 9 people but I guess that didn’t compare to those with 12+ people since they received far better attention from waiters. Unfortunate because the food was good, we will have to reconsider next time due to the terrible service.

Will working at one of my job my boss would get us food and it would be from here. The food was amazing has been a while since I have eaten here but would like to go the the restaurant.

Went to a birthday party. Room was great.akthough they Needed more people to work party. Bartender was all over the place. Missed our table twice with rice We got no rice- food was delicious. Salchipapas great! Green sauce also very good! Sangria has a kick! Must try!

If you go to Pio Pio you have to go to the main restaurant on Northern Blvd and 84th St. You’ll feel safe eating indoors because the space is open and airy. They’ve made sure the tables are at a safe distance apart. My two favorite dinners are the roast chicken dinner with saffron rice. It’s the best roast chicken dinner in New York City! The side of herb cream sauce is delicious. My second favorite is the shrimp in cream sauce with a side of avocado salad. Their white wine sangria is a nice compliment. Yum!

Food is pretty great. The lomo salteado is one of the best I have had. The service was a little slow for me, maybe because I went there on a busy Saturday evening. The other food we ordered such as the salchipapas and something that was like seafood paella tasted ok. Will come back for the lomo.

We waited for over an hour and a half and never got our food. The servers didn’t care at all and never attended to us. Disgusting would not go back servers just don’t care.

Waitied on the table for more then 30 min on the table no waitress showed up to get the order they were chatting on other people's table we attempted 3 times to get someone to get our order but got ignored
