Pioneers Bar NYC reviews
15They got rid of the pinball machines which was why I went in the first place. Atmosphere is good, staff is friendly, bit overcharged on the drinks but not a big deal
Fair prices, Narragansett on tap, games like connect four and jenga, pool table, couches to hangout on. Good music too
A fun bar where there are a good amount of beers, some games like billiards and beer pong, and a good amount of seating to hang out. I’d go back!
Fun! Kinda a younger crowd. The games make it a nice place for drinkers and non drinkers to hang out together. Bartender was nice.
We visited this bar with my girlfriend a couple of days ago, as foreigners we felt ver comfortable because the barmans were really kind despite all the mess. The bar has a really cool vibe also.
Came here to meet current and new friends before a movie. Being able to play jenga and chat with a casual beer was great to break the ice and hangout at.
This is exactly what a bar should be; no stuffiness, no snooty people in suits flaunting their designer watches and bags.just a real blue-collar, down-to-earth place to hang out and have fun. The staff was super friendly when I was there and aside from the pool table being out of order, this place couldn't have been any better. Will absolutely be going back in the near future.
This place has what I would call fantastic 'social design'. There are ledges everywhere making it easy to find space to set your drink even when it's super crowded, there are hooks under the tables and ledges to hang coats and backpacks etc, there are outlets all over the place if you need a quick charge, and there's a fun mix of things like pinball machines, a couple arcade games, oversized jenga, random punching bag game. Plus comfy couches, tvs, projector screens with movies and/or sports games on.plenty of bathrooms in a good spot so there's no awkward line down a tight hall or in a stairwell.maybe that says more about me than the bar but.anyway it's a great place I've been going to for years and it's one of the greatest.
Cool spot. Pool Jenga and more. Couches good for group gatherings. Drinks only. BYOF. Good spot to meet singles.
Really swanky joint. Really fun games, great bartenders, overall great experience. They made me and my girlfriends Christmas Eve experience memorable.
Cool bar but $15 for sailor Jerry? At least give me captain Morgan if you’re going to bend me over.
Great vibes and staff in a fun, lively, large bar. Tons of space to spread out. Many TV's. Good drink prices. No food but you can bring stuff in. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
First time back since before the pandemic. Happy to know that are still here. They rearranged the space and added a very awesome pong game. Staff was cool as usual and i like that they were checking vax status.
Unique spot in midtown with pool, and other bar games. The space opens up in the back with a high ceiling and skylights. Good place for all different groups.
Its not just a bar, they have games as well. You can shoot pool, play video games, oversized jenga and connect 4. It's a nice cool after work spot, drinks were awesome, crowd was chill. Can't wait to go back.
