Pizza Shop reviews
16 Nice view. Many pizza options
They messed up our order. Forgot about it and left it in the oven for too long till
It was burnt. Two parties who ordered after us were served first and we checked twice with them before they finally realised that the pizzas were still at the back of the oven. There was still some foil stuck to the base of the pizza too
Love Pizza Shop! Everything on the menu is delicious. The pizza is great, the eggplant rollatini and eggplant parm heros are amazing and enormous, the ravioli is delish. My husband loves the wings. Italian food in general tends to lean salty so make sure to chug that water. And heads up, a freight train barrels past every half hour or so. The screeching become part of the charm once you're prepared for it:)
Tiana was excellent today very attentive excellent guest rapport.
Went beyond the call of duty and the extra mile.
Delicious Pizza and Spaghetti and Meat Balls
Great atmosphere
Thank you
I order a salad from pizza shop 1-2x a week for the last 5 months, as it is a local option for lunch break from work. Around 65% of the time something, albeit usually minor, is wrong with my order. The female manager is typically unfriendly and rude about resolving issues. Today I'm finally entering a review after picking up yet another incorrect order, with another rude communication experience from the manager. As you read through all of their lesser reviews on Google and Facebook you will see the theme is - nasty customer service from Mgmt. My company orders large frequent orders from the restaurant, this treatment, quality, and communication is a shame to see amongst local businesses.
Tried pizza several of times with take out orders. Including at former places of employment where management would order a bunch of pizzas for it's workforce. Pepperoni and veggie pizza was my favorite and had the most flavors outside of the cheese pizza. Have not dined in at restaurant but have passed it numerous times coming in and out of Newburgh.
We just discovered this hidden gem on Labor day weekend. We ordered penne pasta and ravioli both were delicious and the serving size was generous. It was by far the best pasta I have had in a long time and I have been to Italy. So I know a great ravioli when I see one. My server was Ashley who was very courteous responsive and friendly. It would be great if they had an outdoor dining space. Will go again.
Awesome service. Great Pizza and sweet chili boneless wings! It's worth the trip and the wait. Highly recommend.
Pizza shop has been a family favorite since I was a kid. I remember going there even before Hudson taco was next door. 100% recommend.
I ordered thru Doordash because I couldn’t leave the house, but we have been to the pizza shop several times, placed a $70 order and the app doesn’t allow you to request sauces, dips ect, so I called and asked so kindly could they please add ranch dressing to my order, for our chicken bacon ranch pizza, the girl put me on hold and came back and said the manager said no, that they don’t edit third party orders … I stated I was not asking to have my order edited, I was asking for a side of ranch dressing as a COURTESY, on a $70 order!
Never will my family give this establishment our money again, no customer service and greedy, the only reason the manager said no is because I wasn’t being charged, SHAME ON THE PIZZA SHOP IN NEWBURGH NY WATERFRONT!
I stopped by this place a couple years ago for an ice-cream on my way to the Newburgh Vintage Warehouse, and had wanted to visit again for all the deliciousness on display. I found myself in the vintage warehouse this weekend again so searched it out for a mid-afternoon snack with my husband. We ordered the artichoke roll and the gorgonzola walnut salad. While waiting, I went downstairs to the bathroom - and felt an impulse to take a photo, coz it was so immaculate! With both high quality hand soap and hand lotion - how considerate! The cleanliness of the bathroom at an eatery is always a plus for me, in that I'd trust the cleanliness of the food that they serve. Both dishes were super delicious! The artichoke roll was huge - it fed both of us and I was too full to eat dinner that night. The salad was beautiful, creative, healthy and tasty. While we were eating, the staff also had their late lunch. How well a restaurant feeds its staff is also a good indicator of how well they feed their clients, and if the serving staff are happy to work there. Let me just say that I would be very happy to work there!
Stopped here for lunch while on a boat ride with the family…food and service were excellent.we will definitely be back
I ordered delivey it was plain pizza & a chicken bacon ranch pizza it was delicious and awesome I will be ordering pizza from there now on
Food was very surprising, ever since moving from the city it is hard to find good pizza this place here. Oh buddy the pizza was good I had the margherita and the rustica slice. Very very good light and thin I didn't order to much because I literally can't from up the road from fish and chickz on Broadway I was being greedy since the woman inside at the next table was telling the pizza was good I just had to try it.
Man it was good I ate the pizza and was so surprised, honestly I don't just order I look to see if there are people there and if the slices or pies are moving or if they aren't, then I just don't order I'm not gonna eat a child old warmed up slice.
Sorry this time I didn't take photos but I will be going back definitely will take some photos of the food for you guys if anyone does see this.
They play nice music as well so it was super packed the atmosphere was pretty cool nothing crazy but it was a really nice day out great for a date spot or whatever
Great, neat shop and great views of the water. The pizza was excellent always fresh and tasty. The staff were super friendly. Definitely a must visit place when in Newburgh.
Great spot-on the water-great pizza, salads, and awesome rotisserie chicken. Huge portions. Friendly staff.
I used to really like the food here until tonight. My friend and I, and the table next to us got the penne alla vodka and sent it back because it was too salty. The rest of our order was fine (meatball sliders), but I politely told them about the pasta thinking I could have a nice dinner with my friend before having college graduation. The hostess at the front with the blonde hair told us with extreme attitude “Well, Next time —-YOU should just ask for less salt. ” Excuse me? But…. It literally tasted like ocean water? How is that my fault when I’ve literally eaten here before multiple times and it did not taste that salty. You can seriously get sick from this and send people to the hospital for too much salt. Lastly, how dare you talk to me that way?
Meanwhile the chef tried it and agreed it was salty. Next thing I know a few things went down and the table next to us stormed out saying they’ll never eat here again. And our very sweet waitress came back completely crying her eyes out. Poor girl shouldn’t be crying over something that isn’t her fault and could have easily be corrected. Girl, if you’re reading this you deserve better.
Luckily it was corrected and they took it off our bills but at the cost of some upset staff, customers, and costing time and the restaurant’s money. In the end I paid the rest of my bill and gave my crying waitress a tip. They made a ‘new’ entree but it’s not even worth eating at this point.
Y’all just lost 4 entrees worth of $$$ from having poor team communication and problem solving skills.
As a staff, there is a better way to address issues like these instead of blaming it on the customer, your wait staff, or any of the staff in general. Mistakes happen. Resolve them. When you don’t—-that’s how you lose customers.
