Love that it’s new and so is the equipment, but it’s always annoyingly crowded with kids that just superset for long periods. And forget about ever getting a bench. Too many TikTok models squatting.

Fantastic club, for the most part. I’m rating based on price to services offered ratio. That being said I would include more smith machines or free weights if possible. The 30 minute workout room is redundant. And they use direct tv for their tv service. I would use Astound Enterprise which is far better for internet and Video.

I’m a beginner, and tried to find a gym near my apartment, this is it. Nice, clean gym, people are friendly.

Pros: clean, location

Cons: cheap (yes this is a con, cheap gyms are never good), small, located in basement so cell service and wifi is bad/unusable, packs of teenagers that don’t know common courtesy, not enough good machines and weights for serious gym goers, staff and manager are super unhelpful and non responsive (you get what you pay for though so it’s understandable)

Verdict: I wouldn’t come here for free, but if you can’t afford a better gym or just aren’t serious about exercise, planet fitness is for you. For everyone else I would recommend NYSC around the corner.

UPDATE: found out that there have been several THEFTS in the locker rooms here. Can’t say I’m surprised. When you only charge $10/month you’re going to attract the very worst kind of people.

The place was ok, not welcoming, nasty attitude and so unfriendly, had to ask around about that and they all had the same thing to say. However, the younger staff seems really nice. I will go back but definitely, hope the attitude is adjusted and I think the girl with the glasses that works there also should stop sitting on the counter is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate.
The place is new and its unbearable anytime after 2pm with the kids and the manager doesnt address any complaints, he seems unhappy. I once called up to the front desk and politely asked if he could turn on the massage bed and the guy was really rude to me, do they teach customer service to the staff?

Your response is reach out to the staff, but its your staff in charge that seems off.

They are going to be changing the hours next week. This location will no longer be 24 hours. A lot of members are upset and had a petition to open up at 4: 00am instead of 5: 00am. I hope this location considers as it gets busy in the morning.

Please bring back the 24 hour schedule. I initially purchased a gym membership here to workout after midnight. The gym is already too crowded & small to go during normal hours. I don't see myself going here in the future anymore if you guys won't go back to the old hours.

The staff is friendly and attentive to cleaning the equipment. Plenty of cardio machines. Only negative, no squat rack.

Machines take extremely long to be fixed, this has been open since the summer and one of the calf leg machines has worked for about a total of one week. I have made complaints asking to put a sign near the smith machines asking people to limit time, nothing has been done. Some disrespectful members use the machine for over 30 minutes while people are waiting. I am currently looking for other gym options.

The place is clean and very spacious, the lighting is great, it have many workout machines, staff are courteous. The only problem they have hundreds /thousands of customers who have the Black Card plan who wish to use their massage chairs and hydromassage beds but they only have two of each. Sometimes one or both doesn't work or you have to wait a long time to get to use it. Also both used to be 10 minutes each for the massages, now it is 5 minutes.

I used to love this gym until they changed the hours. Me and a lot of members signed a petition to have the gym open at least at 4: 00 am. We’re hoping for this change or we’re going to have leave this gym.

Wonderful gym! Great staff! The management stays on top of all issues that arise upon the operation of this place. The work orders go in effectively and the equipment is fixed in due time. In the last two weeks 7 items were out of service. Today that number is a big whopping ZERO! Congratulations!
Now my next stop is Orlando for Mr. Olympia or Peter Luger on Northern Boulevard!

Its in a prime location and that was not taken into consideration in the design. The men's locker room is a joke. It's way too small. May be the smallest out of all the planet fitness i been to. The free weight area feels like a hallway. No room to breathe. The only place to breathe in the space is by the assisted pull up/dip machine. This should be my go to spot but it's my 3rd to last resort. The Metropolitan/Jamaica hospital Planet Fitness and 14 st union square location are still below this one

Great location and affordable price. The gym is fairly clean and upkept. However, these new hours are disappointing as I usually go at 3-4am. Would love to have this place return back to 24 hours. How can we get this back?

The place is CLEAN, AMBIENCE IS GREAT the thing i really like about this gym is the staff are really polite and kind.
