It's been cool going to this gym in my neighborhood. The set up and everything is cool especially with them taking the Covid precautions seriously

I just have a question. I called and no answer. Does this facility have the hypdromassage a tanning room and massage chair that coeswith my black card membership?

Lovely, little crowded and one guy kept using the tricep machine to sit and do free weights which messed up my routine. Other than that it was a positive experience very clean!

Very cool gym. & decent staff.but.the problem is.these fake "personal trainers" along with their hosts that go in there and hog areas.making it uncomftable for many people that just want to work out.

I've been coming to this place for 20 years, same staff, excellent food, great service, great Cafe con Leche. They never disappoint. They are not too pricey and anything I order always taste good. I love their boneless chicken crackling. This place will accommodate large groups even though they are not located in a big space. There is enough room and doesn't feel crowded. If you like good Cuban Chinese food you will like this gem.

The best and most friendliest staff ever is at the 225th St location in Riverdale; especially noteworthy for their kindness, professionalism and coolness are Loretta and Edward.

Good luck getting a machine. I swear everyone around here just works out constantly for no reason.

I was going to attempt to call corporate and evaluate my issue but from reading these reviews this company is clearly criminal! I was promised a refund by the GM now my calls being ignored and dodged smh worst experience with a gym ever!

I usually go to the gym right after work. However this being a poor community, that was a big mistake. My Locker got broken into. I went to Tell the front desk and the only advice was for me to leave my name and number and someone would call me. The manager and workers here are obviously in on the constant locker breakins as they always have the same excuse “we’re not responsible for the lockers” (but it’s in your gym?) there is usually a worker in the locker room scoping out who has what. Check the reviews I this gym breakins are common! Avoid at all cost!

I am grateful to planet fitness for providing an affordable gym option in my neighborhood. The staff is generally friendly and the place is clean. The issue I have been having with my PF location is that more often than not and weather it’s weekday or weekend I arrive to the upstarts treadmill to find the tv off. All of them. When I tell them, the desk tells me they are too short to reach and therefore we’ll need to wait for the manager to arrive to turn them all on. Seems me that the first person in to set up should Not be the shortest person to set up. Find a stool to stand on. Get help. Don’t sign up for the shift if you can’t perform all the duties of opening up the space properly! Jesus it’s not hard to find a solution.

This gym is great for what you pay for. And they changed machines and fix everything. Looks new and modern

YOU DONT HAVE TO GO TO THE CLUB TO CANCEL YOU CAN SEND A LETTER!

Staff is not trained correctly.

Staff will lie to you any tell you the only way is cancelling in club. (Possibly due to ignorance or a way to force you to keep paying until you come in person)

I wanted to change my account to a 10$$ plan instead of having a black card. The employee helping me didn’t know whether or not I would be placed under commitment for another year and said The only way I could change my membership is in club.

I was told that I had to go to the club to cancel that there was no other way when I called the club. I come by to the club to cancel and had problems with buyout fee. So I waited until the next time I can come to the club which is 4 months later to cancel (I work full time and go to school full time)
This is what they tell me:

1. We are still going to change you for next months bill because it’s already processing 6 days before the due date.

2. We are not going to refund you even though you cancelled before your next bill date.

3. If you wanted to cancel sooner you could have cancelled with a letter. (Mind you I was told the only way to cancel was in club)

If the employees here were trained I would have sent a letter months ago cancelling. Worst experience with a fitness center ever.

Update: According to the owner. If you have questions about canceling ask the manager (Steven) because no one else know what’s going on.

Thanks for nothing planet fitness I will never pay for a membership to come here again. What a total waste of time and money.

I joined Planet Fitness in order to keep in shape but now my bank account is as out of shape as i am because one set of people say i owe them money but when i went there another person said i don't know anything but my bank keeps taking out overdraft fees.

Planet fitness @ dyckman is by far the cleanest gym I have been in, mind you I was a personal trainer for quite a long time. I have work in numerous gym, some are igh-end clubs as they are referred to.

This is a good place to go, but there are a lot of people and you sometimes need to wait longer for a machine.

For under $11 a month this place is amazing. Compared to other more expensive gyms it's about what you would expect. The staff has always been friendly and the locker room is relatively clean. The staff can't seem to keep up with the gym users who throw their used paper towels all over the floor but hey, I guess the guests are wiping down the equipment?
I wish they offered towels but for $10 a month I understand. They have most of the equipment you'd expect - no rowing machines though. A bit more crowded after work than on the weekends. Have never had a problem getting an open cardio machine. Sometimes have to rearrange workout to get on certain equipment downstairs. Last tip: Don't actually expect Planet Fitness to keep the "lunkheads" out. They are there, grunting and working their upper bodies only, loudly dropping their dumbbells and weights on the stacks, but I mostly find people keep to themselves so it's not too bad.

I've been going here for awhile, mostly because it's close to my apartment.

I have a love/hate realationship with this gym. There's a lot of staff turnover, which speaks volumes about management.

The cardio machines and bikes are upstairs and face right into the late afternoon sun so it's blinding to exercise up there in the late afternoon.

I have complained about this issue repeatedly for over a year, and they still refuse to put tint on the windows.

So, it's an OK gym. I guess that's what you get for $20 a month.

If I want to be treated really well, I guess I'll have to shell out money for a more expensive gym. But for now this works for me.

Just got a lot of new equipment but free weights are lacking. No proper squat/press rack, just smith machines.

Great place to exercise. You can't go wrong for the $10 a month fee. The place is friendly and truly clean. They recently remodeled with new equipment.

Great place to go in and out for a fast workout. The employees are always polite when entering and leaving the gym. The machines and area are always kept clean.
