Planting Fields Arboretum reviews
16I recommend everyone to check this place out if you're in the area. Beautiful grounds and greenhouses. The tour inside the house was wonderful and our guide was great!
Nice place to visit and walk around. The greenhouse is well-maintained and changed according to the season.
We had a magical day at this Arboretum. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! So inspiring. Makes me want to get my garden at home in shape. I loved every moment. The greenhouses are arranged so beautifully and it’s the best arboretum/botanical garden I’ve been to in several states.
This place is so beautiful. It’s literally the place I go to when I need to lift my spirits. Especially when I get those winter blues. A wonderful place to admire life.
Over the years Planting Fields has gotten money hungry. The place itself to visit is nice and has many flowers to see, but even the greenhouse shuts too early to see unless you go in the morning. The members events are way overpriced and lackluster, they don’t consider people with limited income by adding low price events or free events to give back to our community. $250 for example to see a tree lighting and cocktails is crazy! There is never anybody to pick up phone calls when you call either so you don’t know if an event is cancelled by bad weather unless you drive and visit to find out.
Beautiful evening at PF last night. Deck the Halls celebration was excellent.house looked lovely decorated for the Holidays but no visit to the main house without a visit to the Buffalo breakfast room.
Grounds are just beautiful to stroll u can find many places to be alone away from people just immense and lovely shade trees if u want to sit against n read
Coe Hall is elegant but the second floor was closed. There are tons of paths and we'll want to come back in the spring when the flowers are blooming.
So stunning all year round. It is so beautifully maintained. Such a perfect place to go for a walk. Stroller and kid friendly with bathrooms and lots of parking!
Another wonderful gem of Long Island a must visit for anyone. Well manicured grounds, variety of plants and trees. Educational and so beautiful and relaxing
Beautiful grounds, great greenhouses, and the tour of the Coe home is worth the $10. Definitely recommend a visit.
Amazing estate, a gem in a State Park on Long Island! Beautiful Coe Hall Tudor style mansion and gardens, greenhouses with multitude of plants and trees! Great for walking and relaxing!
Absolutely magical place. So much beauty everywhere you turn. Beautiful greenhouse full of flowering shrubs and exotic plants. Can be quite fragrant in there, but it's a lovely flower smell! There are multiple gardens and paths, trails, to walk, benches to sit down and relax. In the fall, the gorgeous foliage tones and views are captivating. Highly recommended to everyone who enjoys a beautiful day with the family.
Lovely place very relaxing. It was like taking a small vacation, getting in touch with nature and all wonderful colors.
Absolutely fantastic place to spend the day. Lots of history and gorgeous plants everywhere. You can't take a few steps anywhere without stumbling upon beautiful exotic and rare plants.
Great for families, great for long walks and hikes and absolutely perfect for plant enthusiasts and collectors.
Highly recommend the greenhouses!
Went by early a nice hazy cloudy Saturday morning before most of the foot traffic arrived and this place is more stunning than I remember visiting 4 years ago. Early is the best time, it’s almost like getting lost in a wonderland of sorts. The greens houses, lawns, forested areas, everything is immaculate and a sight for sore eyes.
