Pod 39 Rooftop And Bar, New York NY

This place is a wonderful rooftop bar! The Freehold Rooftop inside the Pod 39 Hotel offers great views of NYC and serves a nice selection of drinks and cocktails! Definitely get their Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail! The place is beautifully decorated and the ambience is fantastic! The staff is super friendly and the service is quick. I wish I came here earlier and more often!

Felt like we were in Tuscany but watching the Empire State building light up. Delicious food and beverages.

Was excited to visit and instantly disappointed. The bar service was horrible. After standing for 10 - 15mins In front of one of the bartenders she finally told me to order with the other bartenders. Another 10 mins goes by without acknowledgement, they finally took the gentlemen next to me and took someone else who just arrived at the bar after me. I ended up leaving. I won’t be returning.

The day I arrived at this hotel, I had the worst experience of my life. My friend who comes from Colombia had made the reservation, I arrived at the hotel a day before her, she had told me that she had informed the hotel. When I arrive they tell me that there is a reservation but that they need my credit card, I give it to them and they want to charge me the full amount that my friend was supposed to pay. I told them no because my friend had this reservation and that's it they had put her argo on her card. In short, one of the receptionists who is also the Manager was rude. After discussing, arguing, the receptionist said that he would make me wait to check in and I had to wait 30 minutes until another receptionist, another person at the front desk Eugenio, helped me, because the person who received me at the front desk was bad, humiliating, I paid the rage in me and I treat myself badly I do not recommend this place at all.the rooms do not have microwaves.nor is there a fridge, breakfast is not included but if you pay for it be careful the breads are old and as I said the attention is very bad.

Place and view are nice. But customer service is awful. Me and my husband took a sit on one of a tables but a waiter was ignoring us and wasn’t paying attention to us knowing that we took the table as he removed stuff from previous customers. Then I decided to go and order some drinks at a bar but a bartender wasn’t paying attention to me as well. She was just staying and talking with another customer for some period of time. Then I’m tired to wait a little bit and attract her attention, but nothing, and came back to my table. We waited a little bit and just left this place. Overall we were waiting around 30 minutes. Our mood went down and we found another place close by.

Super chill rooftop vibes. Perfect for summer drinks with friends where you can actually have a conversation because it’s neither too loud or too crowded. Even on super hot day everywhere felt cool & shaded without impeding on skyline city views

This staff practices incredible hospitality. The drinks were not too strong but you feel like you are getting your money's worth. The atmosphere and views are that of a peaceful untapped oasis. There is a gorgeous breeze as well on an otherwise humid, stuffy day. The margarita was not as jammin as the agave suave. Thank you for a peaceful NYC day, I had never had one before

Friendly bartenders, fair priced drinks, cocktails made by hand, and if it’s hot, they have frozen margaritas! Also lots of spots to be in the sun or shade. There were some grandparents here as well as college she people and everyone seemed to be enjoying the views on the 4th of July.

Beautiful place on top of Pod 39. Went on Saturday and waited for the one bartender to attend to me for 30 minutes and gave up and left. Came back on Sunday (I'm staying in Pod) and got friendly service, but still very understaffed and no table service. I ordered the tuna tacos and I can say, they were the worst tacos I have ever had. Cost $22 for 3 tacos the size of my thumb. (See photo) The tuna was dog-food grade. Absolutely horrible. Drinks and vibe was nice, but too much waiting and horrible food.

You need to update! It’s now a new restaurant that is has new management!

All great experience. I brought a friend who's visiting the city and none of us was disappointed. Drinks were strong but tasted good. Food was great. Service was amazing. Wonderful views too and not super crowded so you can find a place to sit.

It is not a good rooftop but it is the one of the hotel. But the price is as if it had good views

Excellent place. Each and every one of the people who serve here are very friendly. The view is incredible. One of the best memories I take from visiting New York is stopping by here and enjoying delicious food and drinks. Between guests and occasional visitors, they have a great atmosphere. We leave very happy. Tip (if you are a guest, buy your supplies and go up to enjoy them)

Really nice rooftop with great views and reasonably priced drinks, for a NYC rooftop bar. Beers are $7-$10 and cocktails range from $11-$17. Been a couple of times after work with friends and we plan on making more trips.

Great to see this midtown east rooftop back open! Solid menu. Drinks are pricey but standard for a rooftop in the city. Could use more chairs, tables and cushions

Bad food, it took very long for the food services also it is overpriced. Do not recommend, only the view is ok rest of them is

Horrible service. Bartender completely ignored us. Sat at the bar for about 20 minutes just trying to get their attention. Walked past us to assist other people. Possibly because we were the youngest people in there.
