Cocktail Bar Ponyboy reviews
16 Leaving a good review to balance things out. I've been twice and this is a solid spot if you're looking for a place where people are low key, but solid you can do some solid dancing to different types of house. We had no problem getting a table, and moving back and forth between dancing.
The staff is also very sweet. It's a solid choice for part of a good evening out.
Can’t get enough of this place. It feels like my home away from home. 10/10 would recommend!
Best dancing in Greenpoint. Sooo many great memories here! The food is also surprisingly good, too. Go early and avoid the line of shame!
Fun place for drinks and dancing. However if you go in a group of 10 or more they ask you to get a table or open a tab of 60-80$ per person…
There is a fee for entrance but it is kind of unpredictable the amount and they want it in cash only. There is an atm in the mini market in front. Drinks are ok
The place is aesthetically pleasing but there’s no AC in the dancing area, it makes it harder for me to have a great time cause of all the dancing.
They usually have a lot of parties and events
Kind of gross if you ever get the chance to see their boh… ice machines right next to all the trash bags. We booked their location for a video shoot and left it cleaner than we found it. There seem to be 2 owners who have a good cop / bad cop thing going. Good cop told us we’d have the place for the whole day since they were closed, but bad cop contradicted this and literally screamed at me over the phone. Never have I heard what I assume to be a grown man have such a tantrum but it made for a lot of laughs on our crew lol
This bar is trash. It's the only thing kind of opened in the wee hours in Greenpoint. This place would go broke in other neighborhoods.
The bouncers are very obviously scamming people by making money on the side in fake covers. All reviews say the same thing. Avoid this place at all costs. There are way better bars in the area that don’t abuse their customers. Most unethical and rude group of employees in the city.
Deserves zero stars. Worst bouncers in the entire city. They will try to literally steal your money. Take advantage of tourists. So unbelievably awful that I would be happy if they were shut down. No one should ever go here. It's not worth it. Before you go here you should take a second and look around because there are a million other places in the area that are worth spending your money at. This place is seriously just not it. Lame lame lame.
Wanted $100 a head for a table. We were with work. Would've probably spent $1200 if woman wasn't so stuck up about it. Read a room. Or at least a crowd. Or at least a small party. Next.
Lovely atmosphere and food menu, but the drinks, holy Jesus. Their signature cocktails, are PRE-MADE!? ! Yup, not to mention top tier priced at $17. Shame shame. Also, $20 cover for guys. Ponyboy is nowhere near a night club, so please cut the gents some slack.
What a special space! Came here the other night for a solo drink. Great atmosphere and vibe. And had a lovely convo with the bartender Carly. Will be back!
The bouncer is making money on the side by charging fake covers to people. He's also super rude.
There are many other better options in the neighborhood so you should definitely avoid this place.
Came here without planning. Now i am def planning to bring all my friends. Love love love Ponyboy. Had so much fun!
Nice atmosphere but overpriced. Dont know how it can be called a cocktail bar when drinks are premixed. Unfriendly staff.
Beautiful and fun place and the food is low key amazing. The cocktails are really artful and delicious
