I got my hair cut by Mikayla, and she did an amazing job! She made sure she knew what I wanted and asked about every detail before she cut anything. I've been looking for a salon after moving to the area, and I'll be sticking with Port City Day Spa.

Such a beautiful place, everyone there makes you feel right at home. Love the employees. Mikayla Maxam did my hair. She did an absolute beautiful job! I have curly hair and it’s very hard to work with but she did it. Definitely recommend this place.

In response to the secret shopper review? I have been a client for many years, have never had a bad haircut, that being said if I was unhappy I’m sure the owner would make it right! My pedicures and manicures all done very professionally with nail polish products I’m sure all local salons have? Facials, the same please know I’m sure there are bad days, but I think given the chance I’m sure the spa would have rather given you a redo rather than a bad review here Thank you

Very professional and amazing staff. As a person that struggles with acne I got recommended to try facial treatments. Got a facial from McKayla which helped with my acne and made my face clear up. They made me feel very welcomed. Clean environment will definitely be back. Would recommend visiting McKayla and the rest of the port city day spa staff.

Went here and got my nails and a facial done by mckayla earlier today both turned out great.she has an amazing personality, very gentle with both my face and nails! She was very professional and had great advice for what color would go well on my nails and what facial would be good with my skin texture. Great service overall!

Port city day spa is my go to favorite place! Not only are the people friendly and accommodating but they really listen to you and find out the best route for getting you to your hair goal, without risking the integrity of your hair. I highly recommend this place for your hair, manicure, pedicure and wax needs! Once again Kristy did amazing and I left feeling like my hair wants and needs were met!

I really really wanted to be able to give this a better review because they were very nice, however, I have worked part time as a secret shopper for many years and reviews are important to let people know what to expect.
My cut was uneven and nothing like we discussed. I didn't notice it until I got home and tried to style it. (She only dried my hair. That's it) when I called to say my hair wasn't cut evenly, the receptionist had the same hair stylist call me back and make another appointment. I was very Leary and anxious to have her cut my hair again, but, another hair stylist helped her which leads me to believe she doesn't know what she's doing. That's not good if you're going to charge full price for screwing up someone's hair.
Maybe had it been cut by the person I originally made the appointment with it wouldn't have been an issue?
Since I had to return to get my hair "fixed" I made an appointment for a SPA manicure. I really really like the girl who did my nails but not the job she did. I hate to say that but I have to be honest. She was very nice but she didn't even know the difference between a spa manicure and a regular manicure. I made it seem like I didn't know and was curious to see what her answer would be.
I mostly wanted treatment for my dry cuticles. My nails took a long time to dry because they are not using professional products, just stuff I have at home for that matter. The next morning, two of my nails had chipped polish and my cuticles are still dry and rough.
Now I have to spend money somewhere else.
I'm hoping the marks she made on my forehead from the facial won't be scars. That definitely won't be acceptable.
Like I said, I really wanted to be able to give good reviews because they were nice but nice doesn't replace the cash spent on a bad cut, a day's nail job and possible scarring.

New to town and got a hair cut on 9/20/23. I have thick mid-to long hair and wanted some style. I have to say that I just love my cut and had a great experience there. Will definitely go back!:)

Asked to get my hair dyed dark and ended up getting highlights. Didn’t even get the right color in my hair and was charged $250 for layers and highlights that I didn’t ask for even after showing reference pictures. I have my wedding coming up soon and now I have to blow another $200 to hopefully get it done right. Very disappointed.

Clean, cozy little environment. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Attentive to the services.

Very educated stylist, that really care about their clients. I've lived here 10 years and it took me 8 to find a "hair home"

Duke did an amazing job and I was surprised at how low the cost was. Will definitely be coming back.
