Portobello Cafe, Staten Island NY

The only reason I'm giving this Italian eatery a 4-star rating instead of 5 is that the overall experience was good, but not exceptional. While the food was tasty and the service was great, there was nothing particularly memorable or standout about the experience.

Wish I could give 10 stars. Food was amazing and service was fast and friendly. My boyfriend and I shared the baked clams, seafood fra diavalo and bacon wrapped filet mignon. 10/10 recommend!

First time eating there. Went for lunch. Absolutely great food, exceptional service and a good atmosphere. Will definitely go there again.

Ate here for the first time yesterday since my wife and I moved out of Staten Island over ten years ago. We were in town and decided to stop in. Food and service was as great as I remember in the past. The Asian calamari appetizer was excellent. My butternut squash soup was a generous portion and was also very tasty. My wife had the lobster and I had the chicken fettuccini Alfredo. Both were excellent. Will be back again when we’re in Staten Island at dinner time.

Great spot for a great meal in Great Kills. The only negative is on street parking only which can be an issue, but for this out of town guy, I bet New Yorkers know how to deal with that. Awesome service team, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Nice varied menu, had stuffed pork chop, delicious, tasted a few other dishes, all well prepared served hot and tasty. Full bar, nice fresh bread and apps too. Overall, excellent choice!

Great place food was delicious. Having family style portions made it easy for a party of 15 to enjoy.
