Positano, Brooklyn NY

Positano is the best Italian restaurant in Bay Ridge. The food is exquisite and the service is impeccable! A huge shout-out to Vali, the manager, Hugo, our server, and the chef (s), for providing the best food and service a customer could ask for!

What a lovely date night. I’ve been living in Brooklyn for over two years now and I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant always looks so busy and cars always Infront for valet service. Let’s jump right in if your looking to impress, wine and dine your partner this is the place server (Jugo) fantastic. I am a food and beverage manager in the city to a membership space and this is the kind of hospitality and comfort we look for. Knows the menu knows how to clear plates and it’s constantly checking in to see how the dishes are.fantastic chicken franchise also the chicken Parm is excellent for starters we had fried calamari which was to die for, also the filet mignon carpaccio wow wow wow that truffle oil over the arugula salad brings that dish to life. Finished off with a tiramisu the only thing I wasn’t so fond of was the Aperol spritz and the water $7 per bottled water was a bit pricey but everything else was exceptional.

I would leave zero but it’s not an option. Had reservations and was told 5 minutes. That turned into almost 1 hour. No apology, no free drinks nothing, not even a glass of dirty water while we waited. Bar tender likes to eat the olives, lick his fingers, and then make people cocktails by grabbing the olives with his hands. Terrible service and worse food.

Great spot for dinner or just drinks with friends. Staff is friendly (surprising considering it’s in brooklyn).

I've been here several times and the food is always good. The service is always top notch. We was celebrating birthdays and we brought in cupcakes the took it from us a beautifully plated it for us. We also had their desserts which is awesome.

I am going today to use the store credit they kindly offered me to make up their mistake.

I reserved a table yesterday because my friend recommended this restaurant and also because of the good reviews on Google. Unfortunately, my experience was not good at all. The place itself is not that great. I did not like the design of the restaurant. Unlike some Italian restaurants here, Positano doesn't have Italian staff.

We ordered Parmesan Chicken, Bolognese and Burrata. Please keep in mind that all of the above is much less expensive in some restaurants which are located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The pasta was undercooked. And please do not start with AL DENTE, I know what that is, and it was not it. Parmesan Chicken tasted like a big nugget, and I didn't find any Parmesan cheese on it. Maybe a bit of Mozzarella.but not Parmesan.

Burrata- it costs 20 dollars, and they literally bring something that does not look handmade. I bought the exact same burrata from a local grocery shop.

Also, they add 20% gratuity for a party of 2 (?). I understand when you pay 20% for a party of 5 or 6, but not for 2 people. It's absurd.

DO NOT GO THERE. You will be disappointed.

The appetizers were better then the pizza. I tried the truffle Mac and I guess I don't like truffle because I literally almost threw up. The wings were really good and crunchy, the zucchini sticks were OK. I would say the food was very bland but enough salt and pepper. But I gues you can add it yourself. I don't think it's the same when you add it after it's cooked.

Very tasty food and nice staff here.but, "regular visitors" spoil the atmosphere of the restaurant, allowing themselves liberties in behavior, it is not pleasant to look at ayan men who "everything is allowed in the institution"!

Me and my wife shared the 50oz dryb aged porterhouse and we had a bottle Pinot Noir to pair with our steak. Our server Gonzalo was spectacular with his service and the staff very friendly. I will definitely recommend this place. Btw was my 1st time so I enjoyed very much.

The food is only 4/5 but the service is INCREDIBLE and the staff brings it up to a 5/5.

The pizza is average or above average for the area and there’s a ton of great options so this is a compliment I forgot how good it was.

The wings are good but nothing special.

Warm chicken salad wasn’t great in my opinion and the packaging leaks but that’s not a big deal.

The garlic knots are not great below average soggy and not that delicious… I ordered them twice and tossed them after eating one.

Let’s talk about the staff. Incredible very friendly helpful and attentive. They made this place even the take out people and delivery drivers are some of the best I have encountered in this area.

Positano is good but I don’t think it’s great. The vegetable sides are reminiscent of what you would get with catering-hall food and the service is slow. The calamari and salads are good though so if you’re going for lunch, it’s not bad.

They gave me very salty seafood risotto. 45 minutes to come out after ordering. I was very hungry, so I picked at it and my appetizers. Very loud and crowded, not enough servers. Expensive drinks.

We had a nice meal at this restaurant.

The special was the eggplant siciliana as an appetizer and it was absolutely absurdly delicious. Unfortunately everything else fell short of spectacular in regards to flavor. My partner got the carbonara. It was so heavy, oily and greasy. Was really missing freshness. I got the beet salad with shrimp. The shrimp were grilled and arrived dry and very salty. They were over cooked.
I had a good time at this place. The decor is beautiful and the service is ok. However the food is average.

From start to finish everything was perfect. The staff are very friendly and the service was top notch. Definitely a place I'll go to again.

Good all around. The waitstaff was great - food and drink timing was perfect.never felt like I needed anything nor bothered by too many check ins.

Absolutely loved the food, it was beyond delicious. Service is great, everyone there just wants you to feel welcome and help out with anything you might need.

Food was delicious, just the staff seemed to rush eating. I wasn't even done and they just took the plate away LOL

Extremely rude waiter and very bad service overall. We were literally rushed out of the restaurant, they didn’t even let us finish the main dish and when we were eating the deserts the waiter just gave us the bill even though we didn’t ask for it yet. Left very disappointed. The food was ok, and the deserts were good

Same Owners from 101 and they had better food. The Angel Hair Pasta with shrimp, mushrooms and peas was requested ala carte, cost more than all the other pastas on the menu and it was way salty for the price and loaded with oil. I was disappointed. The wait staff was sweet, but just ok. For the high cost, service should be way better. Baci and Ponte Vecchio is way better!
