PS/MS 164, Flushing NY

The staff at PS/MS/164 are really caring and kind. The school has many fun things to do besides studying. The school offers many different programs like after school, vilion, and more. I would reccomend this school to other people.

I genuinely do not recommend going to this school. This September, I was a new student at this school. In my grade, it's full of disrespectful students. My mental health has gotten worse attending this school. A month after joining this school, I got bullied. Today, I just realized how bad the students in my grade are. They're racist, immature, fake, and the boys sexualize girls as a joke. The students in my grade make sure you feel horrible. Based on my experience, if your student has friends, they are most likely fake friends and have been talked about behind their back. It's horrible if you find out what they've said about your child. For me, multiple students have wished death on another student. All I have left is to say, if you're child already has bad behavior, they won't change at all no matter if the school staff talks about it with them. It's already too late. To sum up, all of the children in my grade are toxic and bad for your child's mental health. If you're thinking of enrolling your child in this school, DO NOT! (Unless you want your child to have bad mental health.)

Everyone complains about the math teachers in this school. The students based on some student's experiences, including mine, the math teachers are terrible. My math teacher this year is just rude! This teacher is also my health teacher. During a health class, he body-shamed one of my classmates. He made a joke shaming that one of my classmates was big, making the class surprised and some laughed. During health class, we're working and learning about body image and how we can keep a positive mindset on our bodies. A grown man body-shaming a child as a joke is just crazy. This teacher barely helped us understand math until this December. He also will point you out if you are doing something wrong. In math class, he made a joke embarrassing one of my friends when she wasn't paying attention. Yes, it was wrong that she wasn't listening, but couldn't you have done it in a better way? Lastly, this teacher has also not been very understanding to students. I wish he was more like Ms. Giraldo. He's the type of teacher to be like "Didn't finish all the questions? Immediate zero! " and "oh you were absent and didn't do the homework? IMMEDIATE ZERO! " Ms. Giraldo on the other hand, is much more understanding and will give more time for you to finish no matter what.

Some of the teachers have also been gossiping to other students about other students. For instance, a teacher I had this school year told a student that my class didn't know how to write at all. Then why don't you help my class? Didn't you tell me that I write amazing? Another teacher of mine also complains to my class about how this other class is a pain for her. I don't think you need to be sharing it with us. "It's already bad enough I have to deal with (boy's name). " I genuinely don't care that you hate that student. The teachers also show favoritism toward students or classes.

I was severely bullied by both a teacher and a student and no one did nothing. Shout out to Mrs. Hansen-Valesquez you da mvp. Ms. Adams who ain't there no more and the 7th grade math teacher.

This school has rude staff, not only that a lot of bullying goes on as well.a lot of discrimination and prejudice happens and this school and did not have a good experience being there either.

My kids school and it’s really nice school, Not perfect but still nice school

Kids here are uneducated and disrespectful towards one another and to teachers.fights are often and never really resolved considering the principle him or herself doesn’t seem to care about anything.no protection once so ever.wouldn’t trust my kids to go here and you shouldn’t either.

Not the best. I currently go there and the school needs some improvements. Its kind of hard to learn because its very 2 dimensional and there's only "1 way of" doing things. Also, the kids are disrespectful and prejudice toward one another.that's just my experience though. I not saying that you shouldn't go to the school, I just wish these issues were handled a little bit better.
