Public Espresso reviews
18 I visited Niagara Falls and planned to have a nice breakfast at French Cafe in Canada but the borders was closed due to an accident. Anyway I stayed in NY side, but the only issue is that the food is terrible, either you have Papas’s and fried food and burgers, or Indian okay food that is very pricey and bad.
So I decided to take the bus to Buffalo Downtown and find this Public Espresso cafe, I love it! It’s clean they have such a good service I ordered classic egg breakfast plate and there is joke all was amazing! I had a chocolate glazed donut it was juicy and delicious it melted in my mouth.
Overall if you don’t have nothing to eat at Niagara Falls please go to Buffalo Downtown it only cost $2 the bus fare and it’s worth it. I spend literally $100 dollars in 2 and half meal of food that I had to consume because I had no other choice.
Their Turkey club is one of the best I've had. It's not like slices of deli meat it's a whole slab of real turkey. Also one of the few coffee shops I've been to that actually does a pour over.
The coffee is the best in the area. James is the man. Their baked goods in house now are stellar (good job Sam!)
The coffee is mediocre
also the guy who I think is the owner: tall thin older guy in his 50’s verbally berated one of his staff right in front of me… like if you don’t know how to talk to your employees like they’re people you don’t deserve to be in business
period
Typical specialty coffee shop that isn’t great at making coffee but is great at acting like they do. It’s whatever as the youths like to say.
Always get exactly what I ask for.reasonable prices, and friendly service! They have the best coffee in the city, and make sure to get there early because their pastries WILL sell out!
This is my dally lunch stop. The menu is varied and consistently satisfying and the coffee and espresso are great. On top of that the atmosphere and staff are terrific.
Delicious coffee and specialty drinks in a hip atmosphere. Food and sweets are yumalicious. Highly recommend!
Maybe my food would have been better if I ordered to eat in.
But I ordered the food to go. Stood to wait just to order 15 min to 20 min.
Ordered 4 eggs, pulled pork lol I asked if there was any she said yes. But no way was there pulled pork in this tray. 5 bucks.ordered chicken 3 bucks for 3 of the smallest strips, I've seen French frys bigger then the three pieces of chicken given. Let's not get started on the roasted Idaho Potatoes another 3 bucks geez
$21.21 down the drain.
Best thing was the garlic butter, eggs and the few pieces of Carmalized butter.
If I hadn't needed to get back to work I would have returned to ask what happened. Because I saw the food people were eating that stayed to dine in. And it looked amazing worth the wait
A painful experience. You need to have a certain level of quality if you're going to have that much pretension, and it's just not there.
I was there to get quick breakfast this morning and I had to use the restroom. The people working in this place including the owner I believe gave me a run around for washroom just to find out in the end they can’t let me use the washroom and sent me to Tim Hortons which was closed the whole day. What kind of such a big cafe can’t provide their guests a washroom? They made me go back in the building 2 times the guy outside the washroom didn’t let me use and sent me to the other building there the lady said this is a separate business I can’t let u use the restroom. Wow just wow
Staff members are very sweet & extremely accommodating! Always clean and welcoming environment!
Consistently delicious with exceptional customer service. Whether it’s a bagel with cream cheese, a sandwich or breakfast hash, even a crueler or donut, it’s just always that good! I buy their packaged whole bean dark roast coffee for him and it has become my favorite locally made coffee for home, too!
Great coffee and food! Make sure to check out the beautiful architecture and decor in the adjacent hotel!
They have a great atmosphere! The employees are friendly the coffee and food are delicious! I would recommend Public Espresso to anyone and everyone!
Thank you.
Why can't I call in an order? ! How does it make sense to make people make online orders through an app, but you can't just call in an order? What's the point of your phone?
Edit: I don't care how much you have spent on an online system. I am not paying a service fee with Uber because you guys can't place a phone order.
Public Espresso is a very nice coffee shop with what certainly looked like some nice food options. I only got an espresso (which was a little bitter for my tastes, but I expected it given what coffee shops do for roasting their beans), but lots of people got sandwiches and bagels and seemed to be really enjoying them.
The staff were nice, even while being fully engaged in filling orders. The place's seating was easily 80% filled on a Friday morning, so I expect that it gets really busy during the lunch time.
They do take online orders, and were very fast in getting those people their orders when they came in. In future, I think that I would be more likely to order on line than stand in line to order and then wait.
It’s a millennial or above Gen atmosphere. Most clientele on computers and working out of a coffee shop…? Self order delivered to table. I am not a coffee/latte drinker so there were no normal beverages to offer other than the the coffee that add all their odd ingredients. I personally would have bolted and looked for more of of Gen x diner but we needed something fast. I ordered BEC breakfast sandwich and my friend avocado toast. Both fresh hot and delicious. Wish they had some normal water and juice choices in the fridge. I’m not ordering espresso with ten toppings… the water that they had was warm and I emptied the small tank. I would have paid $$$ for juice and water… attached to a historic hotel which is definitely worth exploring!
