Punto Rojo Cafe Glen Cove reviews
17I didn't like the service. The food didn't taste very good and even a hair came out in the food. And that was very disgusting.
*Keep in mind, this is just the rating of the empanadas. * Okay. Um, how come you guys keep mixing up the empanadas with meat and chicken? I'm pretty sure that someone ate my chicken empanada, and I ate a beef one, now that I'm looking back. I'm personally allergic to beef, and I get stomachaches and headaches the night/day after whenever I eat beef.
I’ve catered two events from Punto Rojo and the food is delicious. The staff is also very friendly. We live in the area and absolutely love this Cafe.
Every dish on the menu is very divine. It has desserts to satisfy the most demanding palate.
Amazing food, interesting/ sweet and friendly people. Such a fantastic variety of foods and crafted deserts to choose from!
Great food! The soup of the day come with a side of rice, salad and whatever meat goes with the soup, everyday is a different soup! Enough for two.
My wife and I recently moved from Queens to Glen Cove and were pleasantly surprised to find a Punto Rojo near us. We had eaten at there other locations and the food is just as good if not better here! The waitress were all friendly, greeted us with a smile and patient when explaining the menu (also trust their recommendations). We loved everything, highly recommend their Bandeja paisa or my personal favorite their chuleta de cerdo, of course you have to have a manaza (postobon) to drink or their cholado. Will definitely be back!
I used to live in queens and moved nearby. One thing I missed was Colombian food but this place easily tops my list as one of my favorites. Very happy to say I don't have to go to queens anytime soon.
Establishment was clean, Staff was extremely attentive. Food was nothing short of amazing! Everything came out fast, fresh, hot and tasty. Ordered the Bandeja Paisa, Arroz con Camarones and Fresh Passion Fruit Juice. If the food was this good, we couldn’t leave without dessert. We had the Tres Leches cake and Flan. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint whatsoever. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
It's a nice spot. Small but cozy. Food is good. They also have an array of pastries and cakes. The steak was alittle simple but the rest was flavorful. I would recommend the chicken breast basket or the Texas burger. They also have a sister store in Levittown I believe for any Suffolk County enthusiasts.
Whether you sit down or take out, you're in for a treat!
Sweet or Savory they've got it all! Authentic Colombian cuisine! Steaks, maduros or tostones, sopas, camarones, arroz con friolejes, huevos, y todo.
Y no olvides the alfajores.
I like the food but the sauces are almost empty that’s the only problem: (I wish they give full containers.
A combination of flavors! The most exquisite thing I've tasted in years! With what attention! For each thing that brought me, I was surprised more than the previous thing! Recommended to a thousand%
Chicken still with feathers, the potato tasted old just like the cassava already tasted rancid but the attention is excellent
Tried on the day after initial opening. Empanadas were good, but chicken empanadas were a little dry for my liking. Service was a little slow, but that's expected when it's very busy and the first few opening days. Had good experiences at other locations on LI.
Update (11/2022) : Service was good. Food was delicious. Very clean and organized restaurant.
Wonderful little restaurant/bakery with so many delicious authentic Columbian treats!
I always get empanadas, chicharones and platanos!
Sweet staff too!
Highly recommend!
My mother, who is from Colombia was giving option “pan con queso”
Please be aware they only put a little on top and that is it!
The queso (cheese) is not inside
I repeat
THE CHEESE IS NOT INSIDE OF THE BREAD.
Very cheap establishment.
In Colombia they put a lot of cheese inside and it is sad they do not continue those custom here in America
If there is no cheese inside state that
Not confuse the public by advertising “pan con queso”
When there is no cheese inside only on top
* Shaking my head *
