Queens Public Library at Rego Park reviews
15Adequate selection of titles and pretty decent environment for reading. I frequent this library often and I enjoy my time spent here.
The most of the staffs and visitor don't respect the ethics and behaviour of being inside the library. They are very loud, talks over the phone, eats and drinks inside and chat with the people as if they are in restaurant. We request concerned person to take appropriate action in it
Ms. Ina is one of the best Rego Park librarians. She always helps to find and order needed books. She is always client oriented and very kind
Great local Public Library. The shelves are well stocked and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are public restrooms available.
Some nice collection of books and friendly staff.
Most of the time computers are available.
Quite locations so you can read some books inside the library.
I was there with my kids but there is a white lady she was sit next to my kids and keep on staring at us which is very rude and annoying for my kids I don’t feel comfortable there we just stay 30 min. This is terrible place for toddlers.it was my first time there I used to go another location.
Worst staff EVER! Disgusting and unprofessional. My kids walked over in the cold to get a book, the person whoever sits at the front with a disgusting attitude told my daughter that she cant look her up in the system. Can’t? More like not willing to. Kids came back home without any books. A library should be a happy place and Not a Frustrating one. So unfortunate that even after COVID people are not emphatic what so ever.
The staff uses their outside voice instead of realizing that this is a library where people come for a quiet space, but they do not care. They talk so loudly without any consideration of others trying so study and read. Plus there are no quiet area. This library is a waste. You’re better off staying home
Maria, the lady who helped me set up my password, was very nice and knowlegeable about her job.
Service here is unbelievably horrible and not helpful. No smile. No attempt in assisting patron with retrieving pin to borrow books.
I really like this. However people are saying the place is too small but I got a membership to queens library like few years ago so I only request books from the app. The workers are friendly and helps me. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because when I request books from the app it takes so long till it's ready for pick up like when I ordered a book today it takes 3 days to get it ready. I really love books and I'm not really patient for 3 days. Another reason I gave it 3 stars is because when I request for example 6 books and 3 days later it says the 5 books are ready for pick up but the other last one is in transit still. I hope you understand me. Although it's a great library
The hours are horrible. The staff with the exception of some are very rude and seem very unwilling to work. I must say reference desk workers are much kinder, warm, helpful, as well as able. The ladies on the checkout seem to be the problem, they don't really help much and whenever their help is requested they make it seem like its such an inconvenience to them.
Very small & crammed up library. Book selection is limited & the service is mediocre.
My one star rating is for the quality of the books. The NYC Public Library must have some kind of business arrangement with the mainstream publishers for every latest lowbrow novel to hit the marketplace. If you're looking for the latest "romance" or "adventure" novel by the latest two-bit typist, you'll find it here. An English classic? You'll find a few, but half of those are in cheap and often unreadable paperback editions. It might be time to reverse the NYC library book-buying guidelines? The staff however are very nice and helpful, so to them I give five stars.
