Queens Zoo reviews
9The queens zoo is my favorite zoo in the city! It is just the right size to give you time with all the animals without rushing to see it all. The aviary building is honestly one of my favorite spaces in the entire city with the mesh geodesic dome and looping path up in the canopy making you find the birds and feel the worlds fair history of the park. The animals at the zoo all seem to have enough space in their enclosures and seem to be mentally and physically stimulated throughout the day. All signage is in both English and Spanish and all animals are from the Americas. Two great touches for the most diverse borough.
It is not the most dense or really usable (other than petting zoo) in cold or wet weather. But otherwise it’s pleasant and a must visit for queens residents though not at the detriment of Bronx for sure
A nice small zoo. Takes about 1 hour to tour around. Walk with coins if you wanna feed the ducks.
It’s not bronx zoo. But it is a cute little getaway from the normal pigeon and squirrel. Although you will see them too. Don’t expect a full day trip there. More like an after lunch stroll.
Excellent small n walkable place, u can see animals from close my kids and I loved it, u don't have to run around, seallion show was good
Queens Zoo is a cute, medium sized zoo. The whole route could be completed in less than hour but if you're taking your time and really absorbing everything, you'll find yourself here for 2 hours.
It's inexpensive at just $10 per adult entrance and totally worth that. The Sea Lion feedings are quite fun to watch and are at set times. I caught the one at 2pm and there are some more, check the site.
Going in mid-late November is nice, the foliage is various beautiful colors and the animals are out and about. They do put the alligators indoors due to low temps.
Definitely worth going for couples dates or with kids.
Cute little zoo. Hope more funding goes into so they can add a few more animals possibly. Great place to get away from it all for a sec, and be one with nature. Has few rides for kids on the side of the zoo. The park land has so much potential to build upon.
Nice and clean but the down side it’s kinda small and no parking. If you don’t have a membership then you have to purchase a ticket which isn’t much compare to the Bronx zoo. You can also get a chance to feed some animals. Bronx and Central park zoo don’t offer that. Another good thing they have a food spot with ice cream trucks and some other cooked food right by the exit
