Quest Diagnostics Brooklyn Park Slope reviews
21Completely unacceptable level of service. Went to pick up specimen collection jars and they did not offer written instructions. The lab tech just said "do this, that and this. " When I asked for written instructions he replied "I just told you what to do. " Also, none of the nessesary collection materials were provided. Lab tech response "use a paper plate. " - - I can imagine patients with limited ability having a lot of trouble under these circumstances. Dangerous and unprofessional.
I had a 9: 45 AM appointment, when I arrived I was the only one in the waiting room and I was seen within 5 minutes. I had a 2-hour long test so I stayed a while, after 11: 30am the waiting room was almost at capacity (6 people, max 8) so I recommend making earlier appointments if you can.
The tech who drew my blood (multiple times that day) was super sweet and friendly! I wish I got her name. I made my appt for just one test but she saw that my doctor requested multiple lab orders, and fulfilled all of them the same day so I wouldn't have to come in again.
Reading the negative reviews, I was honestly a bit anxious about going to this location for my blood work but gave it a shot anyway since sometimes negative reviews are overblown. I arrived a bit nervous but was instead pleasantly surprised.
All of the staff members I interacted with were really friendly and welcoming. The facility itself is clean and organized too. I had a 10: 15 AM appointment for which I checked in online before arriving, and waited for about 5 minutes.
Service was prompt and the tech who drew my blood was super sweet, careful and quick.
I recommend giving this location a chance, you can tell they take the feedback and are trying to improve.
Just went in for my health screening for insurance and it could not have gone better. Easily made an appointment online, check in took no time, was inside within 5 minutes. The actual screening was quick, efficient, safe (they take very high covid precautions which I really appreciate). The technician who did my screening was a joy. Super sweet and supportive and dealt with my anxiety like a pro. Thank you Quest!
Such an amazing experience! They're organized, clean, and on time! My brother and I were seen within minutes of our appointment times. Well worth the commute for us!
Wow. What a horrible experience. No help or instructions of what you are supposed to be doing or how to do the tests. They expect you to have the knowledge of a doctor and tell them what you need.
Very rude and just try to get you in and out so they can maximize appointments in the day.
Avoid.
First and last time going there. Staff was borderline incompetent and rude the wait was long (45 mins) even though I had an appointment.
Took forever to be seen. They don’t see you in time! My name wasn’t spelled correctly and it was in the form and my id. When I corrected the lady, she was very condescending.
There are a lot of mixed reviews here, so I wanted to note my experience at Quest, which was easy and pleasant. I made an appointment ahead of time (as per their website) and was in and out in under 10 minutes. The office staff was perfectly nice and efficient.
Went for a blood test today and could not have been more pleased. I waited at most five minutes The woman who checked me in was cordial. Antoinette, a personable woman, took my blood flawlessly. It is always a good idea, here or any medical office, to make an appointment first thing in the morning. My appointment was at 8: 00 AM.
Greeter was lovely. They didn’t do half of my bloodwork. Had to make another appt to get the rest done. Then was charged two copays. Tried to call the billing department. Was on hold for an hour being transferred around. One woman was so rude that she hung up on me. Not acceptable. Do not go to Quest.
Absolutey awful, you should probably stay away. Went in and with my blood draw prescription and was told since I did not make a reservation in advance I should wait. I waited while those who came in after me with reservations were seen first. The total wait time was over an hour compounded by the fact that their fax machine has been down for a year and their electronic prescription system was also down. Thankfully my doctor gave me a written prescription, but many other waiters waited an hour plus just to be turned away because they had hoped their prescription would be faxed or sent electronically and both of those systems were down. When I finally got in, the person taking my blood totally botched it on the first attempt, so much so that they had to use my other arm. I wish that I could say they run an efficient operation there, but they do not. Beware.
Worst place ever! Everything about this place is horrific. The staff is rude. They never take appointments on time. They never tell you accurate wait times. They take forever once you actually make it into a room. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. I promise you!
Went in as a walk in today and approached the kios to check in. A nurse came in to check me and daughter’s temperature and asked us to wait outside because we did not have an appointment. Place did not seem busy but I still didn’t mind.
After a long period of time, I went in to check what was the status and noticed that it was all empty inside. The nurse said that she don’t give walk in a time and I would have to wait another hour till her last appointment comes.
I told her that she should have mentioned that to me earlier and her excuse was that she did not see me after she asked me to step out of the room that was not busy at all.
I will never visit that place again with such unbothered staff with no regard.
Wish I could give 0 stars.
I made an appointment and was seen right on time. All of the staff were very kind and the process was incredibly smooth! Easy and no pain. Thank you!
I went for an appointment today and the staff the took care of my child was rude and disgusting, he keep yelling at me because he kept repeating himself but it’s my first time there, I don’t know what to do. So disgusted, never will be coming here again, this doesn’t even deserve a star at all.
I was worried going there after reading reviews but my experience was excellent! The staffs were friendly and professional. My appointment was 7: 30; i arrived there at 7: 20 and left at 7: 55! Antoinette was great! I didn’t feel any pain at all.
The surly technician ended doing the wrong test, a CMP instead of the lipid I had fasted for. Is this acceptable?
Disgusting location. The building is filthy, there were cobwebs over the door that were not Halloween decorations. They make you wait even with an appointment, which is unacceptable during covid. The place is so run down, the chairs are ripped and old looking. The man that took my blood missed my vein on 4 attempts.pretty armature. I was left with a pretty bad bruise.
Visited Quest ParkSlope facility for the first time. The lab is in a safe area and very easy to find. I had an appointment and they were right on time. Waiting room, bathroom and lab room were very clean. Tonya, the phlebotomist who assisted me was awesome. She was kind, helpful and very professional. The experience is probably the best blood drawn I have had to date. She found one of my hard to fine veins and I did not feel a thing. I was in and out in no time at all.
