I went to get blood drawn last week it was kind off busy due to the snow. But Daphaney was so kind and helpful. Would most deff go back. Thank you for your patience Daphaney!
I came in with a prescription but not an appointment. Office was clean and efficient, and I was taken for my bloodwork within 10 minutes. The technician who drew my blood, BRUNEL, was so gentle; he was by far the best in my experience of having blood drawn, whether for donations or any reason. I highly compliment him.
On 8/6/20 No blood work was needed I Had an Rx for a UA and CULTURE. After waiting over an hour and a half I was given a cup. I waited 2 weeks to receive results knowing of their overwhelming covid testing and that culture results take longer. I called my doctor who was told by Quest that they had no record of my Visit or results. Had a retake at Northwell Labs no problem will not be returning to Quest.
This lab should not take walk-ins on Saturday because they don't have the capacity to do both appointments and walk-ins.
If you value your health - do not go there!
This is the single place I have heard of in NY, that crammed dozens of people inside to wait in line. All because they have scheduled appointments at the same time - during the pandemic!
They directed a 90 year old to wait in line of 30 people, shoulder to shoulder.
When we arrived at this location we were basically walk in, after an half an hour waiting, I then questioned the staff on why is taking so long for us to see a tech, she said respond by saying that if a patient that has an actual appointment walks in, then we as a walk in get pushed back. This is totally not cool, I have gone to other quest facilities and whether you have an appointment or not, everyone see the tech base on the time you check in, it just makes everything moves much more smoothly.with that said whoever is managing this Quest lab in Garden City needs to come up with a better plan.
Although there were numerous people on line with/without appointments, once I signed in they were very prompt and the level of care given to me (a Senior 70 plus years) was remarkable.
Over worked employees still show professionalism and courtesy to all patients. They should be applauded and appreciated for their essential work ethic. Outstanding!
Horrible experience. There is no one at the front desk, they have an iPad for patient intake. There is no one available to ask questions to regarding insurance untill after you wait an hour in the waiting room. They place your name on a tv screen in the waiting room with false wait times. Phlebotomist have attitudes when asked to call provider for insurance information, will never be returning to quest again. Shield lab is the way to go
Positive experience- Got an appointment for the day after I called, no wait when we arrived, technician was very patient and clear explaining what my son needed to do for his testing (much more thoroughly than the last place we were at). The only reason no 5 stars is because I couldn't get a person on the phone to answer my questions before the appointment- only automated phone service- very frustrating.
