Raines Law Room Chelsea reviews
15 Visiting from Miami. Service is among the best in NYC. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.
Very dark and romantic vibe. Drinks were very good. Straight forward, and exactly what we were looking for. Would defiantly come again!
Dishonestly charged the wrong price for drinks.
Raines charged $19 for two drinks listed as $12 dollars on the menu- regrettably, I didn't notice until too late, as I was with a large group, but this is absolutely unacceptable. I would strongly recommend against coming to such a dishonest place. There are enough speakeasies in New York; I would suggest Bathtub Gin or Employees Only.
Exceptionally tasty cocktails. I prefer to tell the mixologists a flavor profile I’m looking for and let them craft a drink accordingly. The experience never disappoints!
Waited almost an hour to get in and then another standing at the bar before we were sat down. This is all fine, but meanwhile the rude hostess is just socializing with other employees while tables go free. We spoke up and finally got a table after interrupting one of his hangout sessions. They seem to dangle this speakeasy nonsense over your head like it’s literally prohibition and they’re the only bar serving alcohol in the city. Maybe terrible service is part of the simulation. Whatever. Never going back
Really rude hostess who despite half our party already being seated at the venue refused to seat the rest of the group because we had one extra person.
Incredibly elegant and close-quarters. A dimly lit room, shrouding you in an intimate environment with books paired with elegant bottles on a shelf. Enjoy comfy chairs with candle light tables with an incredible variety of cocktails, including non-alcoholic options.
Best cocktail, they won’t kick you out even times up. Big plus among all speakeasies in NYC.
Made a reservation here for a quick 1 hour drink and snack before our late dinner reservation. My boyfriend and I had a great time!
I thought the coolest thing was the entrance with the doorbell to be let in!
The service from checking in, being seated, getting greeted and having our order dropped off were prompt and friendly, drinks were amazing and we really enjoyed the Nibble Tray more than we expected!
Awesome intimate lowkey vibes, great for date night or a night to catch up and chat with friends. Highly recommend!
Turned away at 12: 10 am because they were "over booked ". I'll take my $ elsewhere thank you
I did not have high expectations regarding the drinks but they are actually very well made. We ordered three, all of them tasted amazing.
Very good service and a large selection of cocktails. Nice speakeasy and vibe is wonderful.
Cardinal sign drink was great with the dill and balsamic balacing well with the fruity flavours. Seating and decor was very reminiscent of prohibition era, but the loud and modern pop music absolutely ruined the ambience.would expect jazz or something quiet rather than bad bunny/doja cat
Raines Law Room is an iconic classic. They offer an absolutely phenomenal array of diverse cocktails in a dimly lit sub-level space full of plush sofas and chairs. They also have an outdoor back yard space if you’d like a little sunlight. A great choice for date night, or if you just want to treat yourself to a top shelf adult beverage.
A really lovely and cozy spot for a cocktail. The cocktails are spectacular and the staff are helpful and friendly. The perfect spot before dinner or for a quiet and intimate date.
Beautiful speakeasy. Absolutely feels like it’s 100 years old. Also has pretty reasonable prices for how swanky it is. Bring a date here and dress to impress!
