Randall's Island Park reviews
14Mental institutions scattered across what should be a family friendly park which exposes individuals with mental illness to the public. Not only that but thanks to the city's devout and wise leadership, there is a huge migrant facility on the island where thousands of migrants now reside making this park overall unsafe.
If you want a park close from the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens yet feels far away try this place.
I will be going back! Amazing area and the whole place is connected with paths. When I was here it was for Pokémon go fest. It was great! The bus system is also super easy to use.
Randalls Island is a great place to get ypur soccer fix. Many high quality turf fields are at hand. A few well lit ones as well.
Wow, this place is huge and clean, and it's free to get on the Islands a must spot to visit
The city needs to put money to build the grass up on the field. There are a lot of bald spots and dead areas. Let's put some of the taxes collected to improve this park. Great time at Vegandale
Gorgeous and well maintained park. You can bike, run, fish, barbecue or have a little picnic. It's perfect for a day out.
It's dog friendly (on leash) and you can Walk/bike there from the ues.
A wonderful place for walking and outdoor activities. There are many paths for running and cycling, as well as areas for picnics and outdoor games. I recommend this park for everyone who wants to spend time in nature.
I recently attended the Electric Zoo festival at Randall's Island Park, and while the festival itself was a blast, I have to be honest about my overall experience at the park, which unfortunately lands somewhere around a 3/5.
First off, the festival itself was fantastic - great music, great vibes, and a lot of fun. However, my major gripe was the post-festival exodus from the island. It was an absolute pain in the neck to get off Randall's Island due to the massive crowd and the very limited number of exits available. I understand that large festivals like Ezoo can get crowded, but the organizers should seriously consider improving the logistics for getting people off the island efficiently and safely.
Another drawback I noticed is the absence of a car parking lot. If you're planning to attend events at Randall's Island, be prepared to find alternate transportation options, like taking public transit or using rideshare services, as there is no designated parking area for visitors.
In summary, while the events at Randall's Island Park can be a lot of fun, the logistical challenges, especially when trying to leave after a large festival, can be quite frustrating. Improvements in crowd management and perhaps the addition of parking facilities would make the overall experience much more enjoyable.
Difficult to visit when there’s a big event. Traffic was bottlenecked the whole afternoon.
Always a beautiful serene place to visit. There’s water, fishing, a beach, grass, walking trail and more
My first time there as they held the Vegan Festival there. I had a great time and the park was nice and big, lots of room.
Went to Ezoo, and my friends and I wanted to walk back to Astoria, but there were 0 signs to direct us where we needed to walk to. Went around the whole island to then be directed back to the stadium by police to find the path to walk the RFK bridge. It was very inconvenient. Put some damn signs up
Park is nice but need more parking and kill mosquitos at the park. Not good for children and babys.
