Red & Blue reviews
16Not cheap, but well worth the authentic & delicious food. Wonton soup was the bomb, very very good. Well worth a stop for any RPI student.
I have gotten sick from their sushi twice now, at first thought maybe it was something else, but the second time was too much of a coincidence.
Whether its Sushi or something off their extensive menu, their fried rice is super delicious. Top place in the Capital District hands down! I love Red & Blue!
Does everything. I usually get Lo Mein and a bubble tea. Sushi is not fine dining but good quality all the same. Vegetarian options are available.
1st time ordering from here and there were fast and the food was absolutely fresh, hot and very delicious. Packaged well and again very tasty lol
Good food for a decent price but not always fresh tasting and the spicy rolls for some reason tasted like they sprinkled jalapeño shavings or something.
This is a Japanese style sushi bar run by some Chinese people (the kanji on the menu is in Chinese instead of Japanese) serving sushi, a few American-Chinese dishes. For 2 drinks, 4 of the basic maki rolls, and a dessert my girlfriend and I spent $60. You could easily spend more by ordering fancier sushi rolls.
The sushi was absolutely excellent. The rice was just right, fish was of excellent quality. Odd enough as it is to mention this, the vegetable roll was out of this world. I've never had a vegetable roll that was really worth mentioning before, this one was good. We had mochi ice cream for dessert which was par for the course, tasty. The bar made some very strong gin and tonics, and we were served pint size drinks by default, which were $9 a piece, so be careful ordering drinks. The staff was acceptable, but in no way remarkable. The decor was fairly standard for a brand new restaurant, a few decorations but nothing interesting. Unfortunately, the window was slightly cracked open to allow the cord for a sign outside, and as it's december that lead to a really chilly spot. Overall, the quality of the sushi makes it worth coming back.
Edit:
This place has been through more than a few different owners since I first wrote this review. I now have nothing positive to say. Meals are mostly rice, dumplings are overly fatty and expensive, and much of the food we ordered was simply bad. We won't be ordering anymore.
I first went to Red & Blue last year sometime and enjoyed my experience. Decided to try them again, and the food was horrible and overpriced. Ghe customer service was terrible.
This was my first time ordering here and I will have to say it’s amazing! Haven’t been able to find a good Asian spot to eat in the area yet and i can’t Believe I hadn’t heard about this place. I got my delivery for two adults dinner within 30 minutes which was the sooner delivery than expected! Food was at great temp when received and the only downfall is I will have to get the general Taos chicken cooked fresh next time I order it but the flavor was greatnesses overall. Will definitely be ordering from here again would recommend worth the money!
Pork fried rice is supposed to be "fried" not white rice with sausage and vegetables be sure to specify if not this is what you will get
The beef was so huge sliced and hard to chew. The whole pot of spicy beef, I ate nothing but the veggies on the bottom because the beef was non-edible. The owner was aware of that and said that she'll give me a discount. Discount? Any restaurant would take the whole order off my charge slip. Funny thing is at the end when I paid the bill, there was no discount at all. I was charged a full price for a pot of non-edible beef. Their price is the most expensive I've ever seen but food was one of the worst.
I don't know what meat this is but the beef is definitely not beef. I instantly spit it out. I'm not a picky person either. Waste of money. For the!
It’s good place for ppl to try Chinese food! Highly recommended. It was a good experience cuz the food here were so excellent.
Great variety. Japanese selections are better than Chinese which was rather bland despite request to make Human chicken spicy.
The value is okay, but the food is so unappetizing. When I got my salad, it legit smelled like compost.
