Soo tasty, super fast delivery (I did GrubHub), fresh, and large portions that will last me a couple days.

Got takeout here recently after so many recommendations that THIS was the place for authentic Szechuan food and it did not disappoint! I can’t wait to go and eat there in person. Extremely friendly staff took my order too.

This one is for all you folks lining up at Secret Garden on Monday’s and Wednesday’s for half priced sushi. No disrespect to them, but they’re victims of their own success. Now that they have to space customers out and reduce capacity, you have to get there early to get a spot. Take-out gets really backed up, too.

INSTEAD you should go LITERALLY RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET to Red Chili. I ordered 3 entrees and 5 appetizers. I had my food and was out the door in 15 MINUTES. FAST SERVICE!

I’ve been here once before and loved the food. Now I’m back and am AMAZED at the renovation they did to the seating area. It’s totally unrecognizable: between the carved wooden dividers, the vines twirling through them, and the lamps - this is 100% a place to take your date, your parents, whoever.

Also let’s not forget about the food here. They have food that most Americans will recognize (fried rice, orange chicken, sesame beef, dumplings). They have some things that might be new but are easy to love (B10 Xiao Long Bao, aka soup dumplings, that burst with broth when you eat them; A7 cold sesame noodle). But if you haven’t tried Szechuan food before (and can handle spice), TRY IT! Start off with the F12 Spicy Vermicelli with Minced Pork and Bok Choy, then go from there. You get a solid amount of food for your money, too.

Also there’s a goodly number of dishes that are vegetarian friendly, though I don’t know about vegan.

This is my opinion as someone who grew up with a lot of Japanese home cooking and authentic Korean restaurants, but has only just started to try more traditional Chinese food. Hope someone reads this and gives Red Chili a shot.

(Oh, also try Erawan next door. FANTASTIC THAI FOOD.)

We love bringing friends and family members to Red Chili Cafe. My wife and I have ordered many items and everything is mouth watering spectacular! Hot Pots are amazing! Best Ma PO Tofu we have ever had; if you are looking for a vegetarian dish and enjoy a little spice in your life). Head there and prepare to enjoy! Pricing is very reasonable for the portion size, especially considering that you are eating gourmet and authentic Chinese cuisine! We love you Red Chili! Now I want to go there again haha: -D

I read the other review and thought I would give them a try. I was not disappointed. Super authentic. Like shrimp fried with shells on authentic. Everything was fresh and hot and spiced to order. Face masks in the takeout bag (super thoughtful). I’m looking forward to calling them again and can’t wait until they open for dining in. BTW, they have karaoke rooms!

We've eaten at Red Chili a handful of times. Service is excellent, decor is predictably Asian gaudy, but okay. I, however, must detract from others here in giving a more critical review. The chef has a heavy hand in spicing - all spicing, but particularly dry red chilis. The result is a total lack of balance and nuance, a trademark of authentic Chinese cooking. I have traveled in Szechuan and Hunan, China. Cooks use hot spicing to accent a dish, not nuclearize it, which is what Red Chili does. I love spicy food and can tolerate a lot of heat, but there's a limit. Out my latest order, pork dry pot, I laboriously picked out the sliced chilis just to see how much they put in (as well as to keep from getting sick). Two large mounds, perhaps 10-15 dried red chilis. Other flavors were simply obliterated.

Finally, the prices are steep, most dishes over $20. In my experience, it's simply not worth the money. Therefore, poor value for what you get at a local Chinese eatery.

I cannot recommend Red Chili. Not that Syracuse offers a plethora of fine Asian cuisine alternatives. Nonetheless, in my book, regrettably, Red Chili doesn't make the cut.

Best Authentic Chinese food around! Better than any restaurant in all of Rochester or Syracuse!

This ranks as some of the worst take out food I've ever had. Nasty dumplings, bland chicken and boring flavors in the sauces. One sauce was a lumpy nasty mess. Maybe the sit down restaurant food is different but the take out is disgusting. Every had an upset stomach after this meal. I had high hopes for this place since Syracuse really needs a good Chinese place, but this is not it. Over priced and terrible flavor.

I will never go to this restaurant again. I waited almost an hour for my dishes, because they forgot my order. The people who came after me has already finished their dinner, but I still have not eat yet. They did not show their sorry for me just say too many people tonight. Every customer in this dinning room is equal. They forgot my order and let me wait for an hour. If I did not tell them, they even did not know they forgot my order. It is sucks! It is so racist!

Horrible service. I have been this restaurant for two years. The service is usually below the average but acceptable. Last time the waiter was so rude. He didn’t say a single word while server me the whole time. No matter I said thank you in Chinese or English, he had no response. I asked him may I have a spoon, he had no response. I understand if he just can’t talk naturally but he was laughing and talking loudly with other servers the whole time. I will never ever go back again.

A place to go if you like to set your tongue on fire! One stir fried cabbage dish ordered had a type of chili that will stay on your tongue and stomach for a VERY long time. Food was fresh and hot.

One of the best kept secrets in Syracuse, consistent great food and atmosphere. Need to try it for yourself!

The restaurant is dark and somewhat unattractive. The tables appear to be left over from some sort of old grill operation from years back: they have inoperable built-in grills or stoves on them. I wasn’t sure about cleanliness, particularly around these old grill things. The meal was alright. I would say the Chinese food was a little below average. The wait staff was pleasant, however, and the prices were good. I think there are better alternatives for Chinese food in Syracuse.

The best and most authentic Szechuan food I've ever had in the US. Enough americanized Chinese food options for those who like what they're used to but then an amazing menu of spicey dishes, hot pot, exotic ingredients, etc. Nothing like the surprise of mouth numbing szechuan peppercorns. We bring our two little boys here and the staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Awesome food, can't wait to try more of the menu. After some great food, stop next door and get a back rub or foot.

Best Szechuan restaurant in the Syracuse area. I always end up over ordering because the food is really tasty. Any of their spicy Szechuan dishes are mouth watering.

For appetizers, go for the beef tripe and tendon. For noodles, go for their Szechuan beef noodle soup. For fish, go for the spicy house special. For hot pot, it'll be expensive, but pick your meats.

Thank you for being here.

I absolutely LOVE this place. They have the standard americanized Chinese fare but the star of the show is their Sichuan style food! If you can, go with lots of people and order lots of dishes that you can eat family style! I really like the dishes made with real Sichuan peppercorns. The inside is very nice, a date quality restaurant. Takeout or sit in, you can't go wrong!

Excellent lunch specials, will be back for dinner. My fiance and I started with pot stickers, that were delicious.
