Red Roof Inn Norwich

Best place very in Norwich to stay. Rh3 management their is top notch! Took care of every need possible. Staff very friendly and attentive. Clean rooms easy access to the town just all around great place to stay.

The location is great for my needs. Rooms are dirty. After my shower I walked to my bed and my feet were black. Service was adequate. Breakfast was not as advertised. It is more of a "Grab & Go" with a lot of restrictions and mostly pre-frozen food & drink. Best to skip breakfast, not worth the walk to the desk.

Me and my wife came up for thanksgiving weekend to visit family and friends our first thing was we booked for just a Saturday to Sunday but we decided to arrive early so we called and added a extra day on our reservation we was told that our room was available to come in whenever after driving several hours we arrive and are told are rooms not available until 3pm that was the first red flag then when we got our room payed for our room we went out for a few hours came back with a friend and they were not allowed to enter the room we paid for because he was not on the reservation even though he wasn’t staying over night we have 1 bed just seemed kind of ridiculous that you guys don’t allow guest to stay in your hotel I’d get the overnight thing but come on really

I may be biased but this place has come a long way in recent years, we come up once or twice a year to hunt and this place has progressed nicely, all the rooms are renovated and really nice if you need to come to Norwich for any reason I'd say stay here, it's not the Plaza but it's still nice, staff is always friendly and extremely helpful

Rooms were definitely nice if you're willing to pay but they did give us an amazing rate as I work for utility.
As far as Wi-Fi goes it's amazing from gaming to Netflix a tramadol no problems in the high hundred for download.
I didn't get to try the breakfast.

**BEWARE*** BUGS! We stayed at the Red Roof in Norwich in Sept. The hotel appeared very clean, updated. UNTIL about 2am when I woke up and was extremely itchy all over and found welts all over my body. After looking throught the bed, we found 3 bedbugs crawling.

The hotel said it was an isolated incident and refund us our money for our stay however. We tossed everything away, clothes, suitcase and took nothing home with us in fear that we would bring home the bugs. They didn't seem to care that we tossed $$ in the garbage.

This place was spectacular! Rooms beautiful and right in town! Can't wait to stay again!

I don't understand the negative reviews. The place is centrally located in the center of the city. Which is a good and bad thing. Everything is easily accessible, but you will see "negative" aspects of society. That's not the hotels fault. My personal experience was great they allowed me to check in early and out late because my ride had to be somewhere. Hotel was clean (It's not a 5 star resort). Staff was friendly and professional, room was newly renovated (AGAIN, not a 5 star resort).

How this "hotel" has any positive reviews is beyond me. I had a reservation for 2 nights, but upon checking in realized I made a horrible, horrible mistake. Where do I start? With the man in dreds sitting in a lawn chair in front of the hotel smoking the nastiest smelling weed? With the staff that acted like they couldn't care less? With the elevator that made a terrible grinding sound and had a door the closed twice on my son? Maybe with the disgustingly dirty mildew-y/wet dog smelling hallway? How about our "newly renovated" room that was so dusty, it set off our allergies? It all felt beyond gross, and completely unsafe (we put furniture in front of our door) and turned me off from EVER staying at a Red Roof again. How the Red Roof brand allows a dump like this to carry their name just shows how far they have fallen.

Seasoned traveler, here. This place looks ghetto. There are doors on the outside that aren't even functioning. There was a pipe in the middle of the parking lot. No pool. The super 8 down the road scores higher and is like $20/night cheaper.

This place was super cool right in the heart of town. Beautiful view of the town from the parking lot. The staff was awesome Lisa you are awesome! Thank you for taking care of me and the crew. Jazz Thank you as well. Can't remember the other guy's name but he was cool as well great staff. Cool people.

The rooms look very nice and renovated. Unfortunately the roof was actually leaking. And when we went to the first room there was somebody already in it going back to the reservation desk asked for different room, were given a different room and that had somebody already in it as well. After the second room being occupied and seeing the leaking roof and water coming up through grates in the main floor, we decided to leave. I would not go here. If you're from out of town there's a reason why it actually received more one star remarks then four star. Beware. After we left, we found out we were charged anyways. I doubt we'll be seeing any of that money. So once you hand over your credit card. Know that getting money back from this place is not going to happen.

Staff was very pleasant and courteous. Stood overnight. Rooms were clean and spacious. Microwave, fridge, coffee station, and safe in room. Room also had iron with board and hair dryer. Plenty of parking in front and rear of hotel. Dollar tree right up the road for all the necessities.

There not the best but also not the worst! If I was from out of town I might stay a night or two not knowing about this place but living here makes me advise you not to stay at the red roof or any other hotels around the area! They do have a smoking and non-smoking sections, and they have done a lot of remodeling compared to when it was Howard Johnson’s. Which means that they are a step up from where they used to be but I still wouldn’t really recommend it unless absolutely necessary. That’s just my opinion though, do as you wish!

Will not give long term rates to anyone but nurses and electrical workers. No thanks but I'll take my business elsewhere

They are under construction right now, so I didn't get much sleep. They would start working at 7am and stop before check out. I didn't understand that. Just wait til they are done with construction and it would be great! THIS IS THE ONLY RED ROOF I WOULD GO BACK TO. The beds were incredible! Workers are great and they are clean clean, LOVE! The construction is the only reason they received a 3, they were AWESOME! Buy its really boring on this town. The town is adorable but to small for me and you have to travel for more.
