Red Rooster Bistro reviews
19 I took my wife out East on Long Island for the weekend for a Very special Birthday weekend. We stayed out in Greenport, but had made reservations @ The Red Rooster Bistro on a recommendation from people we had met.
We'll needless to say we will not be returning. The service was not the greatest, the food seemed to be something frozen from the supermarket. Definitely Not worth the $$. We both had stomach attacks soon after. Not any kind of food poisoning but just greacy and too much cheese. Just a Horrible experience.unfortunately, we won't be returning.
First time there and am local. Very impressed with all. Would go back again and recommend to all.
The food here and atmosphere was so amazing. Quaint little restaurant in Cutchogue with home style food. I definitely will be back when visiting long Island
The appetizers seemed like they were just taken out of the freezer and then not cooked all the way. The mushroom soup special omg how awful that was. Legit seems like someone opened a can dumped it in a bowl spit im it and said yup that’s good. Save your time and money and just don’t go
The food was excellent.
A limited number of dishes, but enough variety that one should be able to find a dish to enjoy.
Quirky over the board chickens, but the food and service are second to none. 5 guys feasted on a variable menu. Drinks were great?
Real nice atmosphere with many ceramic roosters around and vintage items. Pot roast was great
I am in the middle of eating my take out.the eggplant dish is phenomenally hearty and substantial. The thick layer of melted cheese on top is gooey with a hint of tang, it covers the breading which retains its integrity and holds this dish together as one solid unit, holding the next layers together in cohesive harmony. The ricotta filling is light and fluffy, the spinach interwoven in this tower of yum is a fresh touch that I couldn't overlook if I wanted. I would call this dish a tower of yum. The sauce is not too heavy and fills in perfectly. I enjoyed the roll which I dipped in the gooey, cheesy, melty side of pasta. Looks like a new Sunday game day comfort dish.
What a great find. From the ambiance, food, and staff Red Rooster Bistro is a strong 5. It's now on our list to revisit when we are back in town. If you have the opportunity don't miss a wonderful experience
Great service, food was outstanding.
Take that from someone who is critical about nearly everything.
I was craving a juicy, tender steak the whole day and Red Rooster definitely delivered on that with their ribeye cooked to perfection. The most delicious steak I ate in a very, very long time. One of the best in NY. The steak was tender, mouth-watering, and flavorful. Will definitely come back. Besides the ribeye, I also had the chicken dumplings, beet salad, and tagliatelle. All amazing. One of the best meals I ever had.
The staff very friendly and welcoming, the interior is full of knick Knacks and all were polished and sparkling clean as wad the restaurant. The food we ordered was absolutely delicious, and we couldn't finish the portions so took half home and it reheated and still had wonderful flavor. A little on the higher priced side but we will be back.
Red Rooster is a charming, busy neighborhood restaurant, tucked in a side atreet. It has a hearty, varied menu, all very well prepared, which includes sea food, lamb, chicken, beef, salads and more.
Went there last night for dinner. Had their casserole which was one of the special for the night. The dish was barely edible. I expressed my concern with the owner and was immediately dismissed and told that everyone else loved it. Well, I would love to see how many loved it last night or this morning. I ended up with food poisoning. Suffering all night long and throughout the morning and afternoon today. Stay away from this place!
From the staff, down to the food, you cannot possibly find better than this hidden gem! By far THE BEST eggplant rollatini I've ever had, and the tartufo is incredible. You would be remiss if you didn't visit this Bistro. It's fine dining at it's finest!
Went here with my wife and my daughter and her husband and two kids. We sat down and waitress came over took our order for drinks, drinks came and we started looking at the menu everything we asked our waitress was a problem like we were bothering her so waiting to decide what we going to order we asked the waitress for some bread for the table and I was shocked that she said no bread till you order your food What! So I asked her why and she said because we don’t want to get the menus dirty— I been going to restaurants for over 50 years never did I hear that before. So we asked for the bill and leaving spoke to owner and they could careless — read the reviews a lot of people are saying the same thing— my advice to the owner— look what’s going on — WAKE UP— and train your waitress.will never come back and will spread the word
Great food! Burger is so good, cooked to perfection. Better than a restaurant in Greenport that has a kobe beef burger. Will be back again. Great service!
Love the country Decor, friendly/hard working staff.we sat at the bar, forgot to make reservations still enjoyed how good they mixed drinks
Escargot was the best I've ever had!
Pasta alaVodko was excellent cook to perfection, can't wait to go back
An absolute must goto!
Service was mindful and just attentive enough, it was a very nice anniversary dinner.
The wife had a steak au Poivre and loved it.
