Honest, reliable, quick - we could not have had a better experience! These guys are the best. We brought our 10 year old Subaru Forester into the Subaru Stamford dealership for a rattling noise and we were quoted 11K to repair a "mechanical failure" with the engine. Thank god we brought it to Red's for a second opinion. Joe Jr.squeezed us in to be seen right away and upon arriving did a quick check of our engine oil to discover that there was literally no oil. Can you believe this is how Subaru Stamford returned our car to us? ! Especially after we paid them $700 for a synthetic oil change/tune up less than four months prior. Upon further inspection, Red's determined that aside from not having oil it in the engine was running fine. When we picked our car up - Joe Sr.took the time to show us how to check the oil and top it off ourselves. Everyone from Joe Sr, Joe Jr, to Benito at the front desk was awesome, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. We will absolutely be returning with all of our automotive needs.

This place is terrible.they charged us 750 for a diagnostic and to add a wire, we were desperate and they took advantage. We could have gotten that repair for way cheaper somewhere else. Then they returned our car with our handle broken and lied about breaking it, claiming it was like that already which was not true.they agreed to fix it but then left the lock still didn't work so we had to go back 3 times.they were extemely rude and denied breaking our car and overcharged us by so much.

Brought my truck in after getting my driver’s side mirror torn off from a reckless driver who hit me while I was parked. Brought the truck in on a Monday afternoon. They told me it would take 2 days to get the part and attach it onto my truck. The process took 4 days, and I had to rent a truck for 3 days, which I’ve never had to do at any other repair shop. Still charged me full price, which is on the expensive side. Never going back.

This is to the Red’s Garage owner, who replied back to me: Maybe you should own up to your failures like a real business owner does!

Instead of blame the customer, who’s paying your salary in the end.

This is the 2nd time I've been to Red's Garage. The 1st time they replaced the lower control arm in the front for about $500, doing a custom job because I broke off the pinch bolt and drilled it crooked. The dealer quote was about TWICE that. That was over a year ago and it's still perfect. This time it was wheel bearings. I delayed the repair because I insisted they use a particular part (probably a mistake) and they didn't complain or try to talk into using their standard part. I got the car back the next day and Joe was nice enough to retrieve our car from down the street so we wouldn't have to wait in the rain. My wife commented on how silent the car was on the way home saying even the creaks are groans on any car with 90k miles seem to be gone. They even adjusted the parking brake and took a picture of broken spring BUT didn't try to talk into doing the repair with them, not 1 word and they left it up to me (turns out Subaru repairs it for free under a recall). These guys are really honest, which is rare in the auto repair industry in my opinion. There's also polite and professional. Next time I'm going to use parts THEY suggest rather than using parts I suggest. Honest, nice, competent, professional guys. Whats not to like?

The front desk person was really great at communicating my car issues and breaking down what to expect price wise. Great service and really fast. I'll be going back for sure.

This place was great! I called earlier in the week as I needed to get my car inspected. Joe was able to get me in by end of week. I arrived for my appointment, and was immediately was seen. Service was fast. I would highly recommend this place!

Went to this garage because my truck was breaking down and they were very nice people for helping me get to the garage and try to get my truck fixed. They never worked on my truck but they were nice enough to let me stay and try and figure out what was wrong. We were traveling from Texas going to Massachusetts and it was nice to find good people.

I own a 25-year-old Ford Econoline conversion van, highly modified with high roof and wheelchair lift that stows under the vehicle and raises/lowers a passenger from the ground into the side doors of the vehicle. I use it to transport my son. We were at a doctors appointment when the lift began malfunctioning, making it difficult to unload my passenger. I finally was able to get him on the ground but then the lift got stuck in the up position while being stowed. Now I was unable to move the lift, close the side doors or operate the vehicle. I called Red’s Garage in desperation. I had had my vehicle serviced there previously but not the lift.

After hearing my problem, Benito advised that the mechanics were out at that moment, but he would call me back when they returned. About 20 minute later, Benito called back to let me know that Joe and Juan were outside with the vehicle and they needed the keys and remote control for the lift and doors. I delivered that to them and returned to the doctors appointment. Thirty minutes after that, the appointment finished, I went out to discover that they had diagnosed the main problem (a broken hydraulic hose and leaked-out fluid) and were just about done fixing that after running back to the shop for parts and fluids. They further diagnosed an alignment problem with the lift but fixed it temporarily so I could get my son home and return to the shop for the alignment repair.

I cannot say enough how grateful I am to these guys. They were kind and empathetic, possessed great technical skills and knowledge (I didn’t even know they were experts on the mechanical lift, I just knew about their vehicle expertise), and probably didn’t charge me what they should have given the incredible amount of work they did in a small amount of time. Needless to say, I will be a loyal customer for a long time. Thank you, Joe, Juan and Benito.
