Regal UA Kaufman Astoria reviews
20The experience was okay, but i don’t think this should be allowed to be called a regal it’s more like an old movie theater with new branding, but no new amenities.the service is nice but the tickets and snacks were regal prices without a regal experience.
The workers are great, it's weird that you have to butter your own popcorn though, and I will never forgive Regal for switching to Pepsi
I went there to watch Sound of Freedom. Greatest real life story. The movie theater did not display any advertising about this movie and after we got in the theater the sign of the movie name was turned off. A shame for this movie theater!
A very large multiplex theater but surprisingly clean, modern, and well laid out. Ample street parking available. Concessions were fresh and reasonable. Staff were polite and friendly.
Nice theater to watch movie. Prices are in line with most queens movies and concessions are pricy as usual. Definitely worth visiting and it has a parking lot for those who drive.
The staff was nice. The theater I was in did not have the reclining seats. The seats are fabric and mine was dirty and stained. Thankfully there were enough seats available for me to sit somewhere else.
Don’t ever call there.no one picks the up phone. Tried to call 5 times right now. It’s like no one works there. 1 question that’s all I need it answered. Had to call a regal in Manhattan to get an answer.what is the point of having a phone “customer service” if no one picks up. Lazy!
It was bit more pricey than I expected, in fact it's the priciest Regal theater I've been too throughout New York. They are no recliner chairs in this one unless it was a different auditorium that has them. They had no combos on top of the price being a little more on the expensive side. Had arcade games there but none were working or on.
My brother and I have been going to this theater for a few years and it's our favorite. A month ago we became "Regal Unlimited" members and are enjoying the perks of seeing any movie, anytime. The last 2 we upgraded to the RPX showings of Indy and Mission Impossible for only a $5 fee! The stadium seats are comfortable and the free popcorn and soda using my regal points are a nice plus. We plan on seeing many more films for the summer and months to come.
Watched Elemental there with my son. Regal needs to invest in recycling chairs like many other theaters. For the price paid the seats weren't great. Good food selections for children. Need a plant based option.
They pulled Sound Of Freedom from their theater after only one week. Also, the weekend it was playing, it was basically sold out for every showing. Weird.
Besides people sitting in my seat, and others talking a bit too much, I like this theater.
It is an old studio, not one of those modern theaters, so it has lot of downsides when it comes to comfort. The building looks old from outside. Internally, they seem to be better, but the screen we were in was tore a little (unnoticeable) and the seats were uncomfortable (definitely noticeable). They didn’t seem to have AC, which was good for me, since I get cold easily, but something people should be aware of.
The basic popcorn-Pepsi do cost like the modern theaters though!
Clean, big concessions, good sound systems, especially in the RPX theaters. Reserved seating available.
Been going here for years! Love this place! Before the kids and after! My kids love this place too!
Great big theater with lots of well located concession stands. The theaters are clean along with the bathrooms. They have a parking lot attached to the theater and wheel chair accesabilty. Besides I got my ticket for only $8.50 because I had a meal at the Applebees down the block. Movie and dinner for $20.50 in NYC. You can't beat it with a stick.
However, to be completely honest you can smell the carpet when you enter the theatre. It needs to be cleaned throughout or replaced. Also, in the Regal Union Square they have seating Why Hasn't This Regal Replaced the pre-covid Seating? I am handicapped and walk for what feels like miles. I'm going to have to stop coming here if the seating isn't put back. A clean carpet would b nice too.
Clean place! However, the AC was on a bit to high. I would recommend bringing a fleece blanket.
Heads up there are bug beds in screen 7 I called them a few time to warn them but kept getting hung up on.
Go there on Tuesdays for the $6 movie ticket special with the regal app. Tip: buy your discounted ticket at concessions. Lots of parking available. Generally pretty clean and staff are helpful.
As usual another fun visit. Saw three movies back to back to back and enjoyed them all. I'm grateful that the staff here is so dilgent about sanitizing the theatre and common areas.
