This place is very overpriced with their products. In addition you have to be careful with the price that you get charged at the register because it is different than the price that is marked on the bottle and always in favor of the store.

Update - i happened to look at the receipt tonight and they charged me $2121.76 for an overpriced $19.99 bottle of wine! I called the credit card company and immediately filed a claim. Beware of this place! I should have paid attention to previous reviews.

Update 2 - The owner refunded my the overcharge to my card on 11/19 after the error was made on 11/16. They do have a new Point of Sale system so they may be working out the kinks.

After having a beautiful dinner for my birthday celebration, my friends and I decided to go and get a bottle. It was 9 of us. We walked into the establishment trying to decide which one we wanted to get, it was about 10: 30pm. One of my friends placed her purse on the counter. About 5 minutes later the older gentleman starts yelling, demanding we take the purse off the counter, telling us to hurry up because we’re in the way (they close at 11 we were the only people in there). As a group of young black adults, I’m not sure if he felt uncomfortable, but that is not a way to speak to the customers that keep your establishment in business. Without the customers there is no business. Being black is funny because people think they could talk to you however they want not even knowing who you are & what your capable of doing.lol. I’ll just leave that there though. The key to a successful business is hospitality, you treat customers with respect so that they want to come back and bring more people to the establishment. Horrible service.

I wish I can give 0 stars.
This is by far the most overpriced liquor store I have been in NYC.
Extremely rude staff.
Please go somewhere else.

This place is scam. Way over priced. Go one block over for better service and reasonable prices

Overpriced, worst selection I would never look at elsewhere. Make an effort, walk one block to better store.

Extortionary, absurdly high prices. A bottle of Titos' is around $25, but this place has a 40/50% markup. Never coming back.

If I could give negative stars I would in a heartbeat. Terrible service and blatantly rude. Had the opportunity for a big sale with me. Blew it. Man on the phone claimed to be the manager, if so I'm amazed that this shop is still open.

Gave them $100 bill for $30 bottle of wine and received $17 change. When we realized it we questioned it and the older man working there tried to say they never received a $100 bill the whole night. Ruined the entire evening.

Not the friendliest bunch. Yes it's overpriced, but it's a good location so the rent I imagine justifies it. Use them when in a hurry. Edit a year later: walk to 9th Ave to buy your wine, this place is truly terrible.

DO NOT GO TO THIS 'ESTABLISHMENT' ONE EMPLOYEE PRETENDS TO BE A CUSTOMER WHILE THE OTHER SCAMS YOU. I HANDED OVER A $50 NOTE STATING THAT IT WAS $50 AND THEY STILL GAVE ME CHANGE OF A $20. PLEASE BE PATIENT AND CALL THE POLICE AND FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NYC CONSUMER AFFAIRS AS THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THESE TWO SCUM BAGS HAVE TO GIVE THIS ONE STAR AS ZERO AND BELOW ARE NOT AVAILABLE. AVOID THIS DUMP LIKE THE PLAQUE PLEASE

Terribly overpriced. Go one block down to 9th Ave Vintners and pay 1/2 of what Reidy asks with 10x the selection.

This place is terrible. Avoid it at all costs. Bought an overpriced bottle of wine only to get back to the hotel and realized it was spoiled. Tasted like vinegar.

This place is a scam. There is a better store less than a block up the street. The old guy here is a thief! Stay away. Overpriced rubbish

I came here and asked for Johnny Walker Platinum and they gave me the wrong bottle. When i came back to exchange, they said they do not carry it and no refunds EVEN THOUGH they do not carry the liquor I originally asked for. They said to try bringing it to another liquor store to exchange (Like that would even work?).
This Liquor store is a shining epitome of horrible customer service. Also extremely overpriced. There are better places.

Bought a bottle of wine that was already overpriced at 26 bucks. The guy charges me 30. I ask what the hell he's doing, he says tax. I ask him how the hell the tax could be 4 bucks, he literally refuses to give me a refund. I had to stand there shouting at him and forced him to open the register and give me some money back. Shameless and illegal ripoff with overpriced and poor selection. Avoid!

$45 for a liter of Svedka? Manhattan Plaza Winery sells it for $22, and it's only a few blocks away. TOTAL TOURIST TRAP.
