Were there at the turn of the year, it was unique. In the heart of Times Square. The panoramic view at breakfast was a delight every morning. Staff partly friendly, some a bit listless, similar to the rooms, just not perfect - probably belongs to N. Y. / but we loved it.

Very disappointed with this hotel.
Booked a weekend stay for my daughter’s birthday.
They never delivered balloons and chocolates they promised.
Even the drink and Birthday cake I ordered was never delivered.
When I called to ask what happened, that’s when they sent the drink and a SLICE of cake up to the room, after 11 pm.
To make things worse, manager never called as promised either.
What a joke!
Worst service I’ve ever experienced!

I stayed in New York for eight nights this time. The location is good and convenient to all the attractions. The breakfast is delicious. The big bed in the room is very comfortable and easy to sleep in. The service staff is friendly and clean. The navigator will give detailed instructions on the transportation methods to the attractions I want to visit.

Rooms were not cleaned well. My dog found a pill and nail clippers on the floor and was chewing on them. View was nice and its cool that they allow dogs though

Great hotel, it was roomy and nice, clean. However, I had an issue with one of the front desk employee, her name was Tammy. I called to the front desk to see if we could get more water. Unbeknownst to my husband and I, the Evian water that's in your room is not free! She spoke really fast so I couldn't catch what she said. I asked her to repeat what she said, this time I heard her say. "We usually charge for water but we'll comp you. " I wanted to confirm what she said so I repeated back to her what I thought she said. In a very nasty and condescending tone she said. " I just told you we would comp you! " I said "excuse me, I was just asking to be sure, telling her that she didn't have to be so rude. She came back with the same nasty tone, "I'm sorry if you think I'm rude, but I am not! " I said again, "you are and what is your name? " She said, "Tammy do you want to speak to my manager? " I said I did, she never said hold on or anything she placed me on hold and after holding for so long, I hung up. Here's a tip for anyone in customer service especially working at a front desk dealing with customers. I do not operate on the theory that customers are always right. However, of you are in the customer service field, please learn to talk to customers with respect and know that when you speak to customers in a nasty way things could quickly become escalated.

I was already a guest at the Renaissance in Aruba and that's why I chose this chain in NY to stay, but it was a disappointment. The Renaissance in Times Square has nothing to do with the Renaissance in Aruba, nothing at all! The receptionists were very kind and polite, but the bar waitress was very rude to my son who sat at the table next to the window, claiming that it was only for those who were consuming, at least one drink every hour! Wi-Fi in the room costs 20 dollars per day, and we could only use Wi-Fi in the Lobby, which is very small for the number of guests! The bed was cozy and the shower was very good, but the hairdryer was terrible with a very short cable! They sent us an email informing us about the Destination Fee that we would be entitled to, but when we checked in it was a different story, I would have to pay 100 dollars, in addition to the daily rates, per day to be entitled, they even charged me 400 dollars more as a guarantee of security. (which was returned at check out), but I have never seen this in my life, as I had already given my card at check in and that should have been enough, I even paid for the entire stay at check in! Anyway, the highlight is the location alone, the hotel isn't new and doesn't have anything special, I've stayed in other 3-star hotels with the same standard as this one, paying much less! I won't be back and I don't recommend it!

Renaissance Times Square provided block bookings for my wedding this September and it was a great overall experience working with the special events team to quote and reserve our rooms. It was especially challenging to find a hotel as we were getting married at the end of NY Fashion Week and the start of the UN General Assembly, so availability were at lows and rates were at peaks.

Guests from around the world raved about the location and the quality of the rooms, one remarking how cool it was to see Diddy perform on the street during the MTV Music Video Award week.

Highly recommend working with this property for any special event needs.

The hotel has the best location to get from the center of New York to the different attractions of the city, being in the heart of Time Square you have everything at hand, restaurants, theaters, bars, etc.and despite the proximity it is not so noisy.
What I liked the most is the restaurant that has a view of all of Time Square and you can have breakfast or dinner with that vibrant light of New York!
There is a metro station nearby, you can also take a taxi or bus if you have not rented a car.

My experience was excellent, good service, good rooms and nice decoration

This hotel has excellent customer service and shopping and theaters are nearby. There's a great view of Times Square from the restaurant window.

Love the hotel, (most of) staff and convenience of being near the Broadway shows. However, entering and exiting the hotel was always an issue due to the hop on bus was right outside the door. Not ideal in the least. The concierge was very helpful and offered many useful tips. Close to Times Square, but the hustle and bustle of the area was just too much for us. The lounge offered the best views of Times Square.

It's located in the Time square. Walkable distance to many attractions.we stayed in top floor and we didn't get disturbed by any outside noises. They cleaned the room daily.

The sad part was the shower head. We are unable to adjust the force. The water comes fiercely.we could easily feel the pain in skin while taking shower there. It's really hard to manage if kids are staying. They need to change it for sure.

On last day, we noticed the uncleaned towel with hairs placed on bath. We were in hurry to airport.so we used our own towel carried from home and left the room. I wish they check those hygienic things twice before placing them in client's room.

I was surprised that the day we left the room they gave me an invoice to pay fees of €30 per day, and three bottles of water, of the kind that they leave in the room, which we understood to be courtesy since it is summer and it is hot, at 6 $ each, and they are so astute that they deduct it from the $500 that you leave as a deposit, so that they pay it yes or yes. They had not told me anything at the agency, I would only recommend this hotel for its location, in the heart of Times Square, 1 minute from the red stairs. I'm sorry those last minute plays I don't like.

They would have received five stars if it wasn't for the 3 intercom message at 11: 45-12am p.m. Waking my two kids up

Overall, this hotel was a very nice place to stay in. The rooms are super clean, the shower and bathroom is very nice, and the staff are friendly. I do have a few complaints though.
Funny story: my kid bought an m&m minifan from the big m&m store right next to the hotel, and we left in inside the hotel room one day when we were going out. My kid said that the m&ms in the bottom container of the fan were completely full when she left it. However, when we came back, there were only three left in the container. She first started getting suspicious of my family members, but none of them said they did it. Later when I was looking around the floor for a random item, I found an m&m on the ground that was supposedly inside the little container of the fan. Our final theory was that the person who had come to clean our room accidentally spilled it and did a sloppy job cleaning up the mess because there was not other explanation for what we found.
Another funny story: We have contact lenses for our kids because they are nearsighted, and we bring around a container of saline solution to clean the lenses. When we came back from our day trip around the city, our bottle of saline solution was gone. I knew exactly where we put it before we left and all the members of our family agreed that the solution was in a specific place. When we looked around and saw that our blankets were nicely placed, we knew that the person who had come to clean our room probably threw it out thinking it was useless. However, I wish they didn’t touch it because now we don’t have saline solution to put our contacts in and we can’t wear them for the rest of our trip.
Aside from the service being a little sloppy, the hotel and room itself was really nice. Would recommend booking a stay here!

Great location! Walking distance to Bryant park, Candytopia, shopping, restaurants, Empire State Building and my favorite coffee shop (Starbucks).
The hotel does have a restaurant and a bar on the third floor, which opens daily at 5: 00pm. Food and drinks are pretty good. Glazed Salmon is delicious. Breakfast is included, also on the third floor.
Beds and pillows are pretty comfortable, bathroom needs renovation though.
Service is excellent, especially from Damian. If you want excellent service he is your guy.
